The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 212 countries territories around the world and 2 international conveyances. The number of confirmed cases has risen to 2061 with 44 new cases including overall 27 deaths (CFR 1.2). The active cases are 1792. Local transmission is increasing, out of 2017, 92% (1,905) cases are from local community, Quetta (1,663) followed by Pishin (72), Killabdullah (39) and Jaffarabad (27). (Details Table 01, Graph 04)

Total deaths are 27 in province due to Co-Morbidity associated with COVID19. Highest numbers of deaths from Quetta (21) followed by Pishin (04) and (1) each from Lasbela and Sibi. Death

Category with positive COVID-19 Renal Failure Hypertension/Diabetes ARDS/COPD Carcinoma

55 years patient expired at Fatima Jinnah Chest and General Hospital - Quetta due to ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome) associated with COVID-19. 03 The total deaths are 27 in Province. 06 The DHO office Quetta with collaboration of district Rapid Response team 17 screened 1139 persons for COVID-19 and took 272 lab samples of suspected 01 cases for further lab diagnosis. On directions of Secretary Health Provincial RRT, Operational cell, WHO and FELTP developed recommendation draft /SOPs for Home Isolated Cases, repeat tests and recovered cases criteria subject to approval from concern authority.

The most affected age group was 30-44 years 31.94% (n=658) followed by 15-29 years 27.72% (n=571). The highest attack rate (56/100000 population) was in age group 60+ years followed by 45-59 Years age group (AR=41/100000 population). The overall attack rate was 16/100000 population in Province. The male 79% (1628) were more affected than females 21% (n=432). The male to female ratio was 3.7: 1.

RRTs screened 2051 persons for COVID-19 and took 304 lab samples of suspected cases. P.RRT attended meeting at EOC for COVID-19 testing capacity and other options of COVID-19 Tests. RRT team lead was part of meeting at PPHI MERK Office regarding daily repeat tests progress chaired by DHO Quetta with recommendations to release the persons who have completed more than 28 days isolation period and are asymptomatic, based on analysis of Positive COVID-19 cases it's recommended to take repeat test on 18th from the date of COVID_19 positive lab tests.

EPIDEMIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS BY PDSRU OF 20611 CASES TILL 9th MAY 2020 PDSRU_FELTP is assisting Health Department in analysis of COVID-19 Cases. A total of two thousand and sixty one (2061) confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported from Balochistan. The case fatality rate was 1.3%. The mean age of cases were 35 years, median age was 33 years, and with age range of 2 months -94 years. Mean Age Median Age Min age
