COVID-19 is spreading very fast in Balochsitan province. The number of

confirmed cases has risen to 1049 with 87 new cases including overall 16 deaths (CFR 1.4). The active cases are 937 in province. Local transmission is increasing, out of 1136, 86% (983) cases are from local community, Quetta (847), Chagai (15) Lorlai (07), Jaffarabad (21), Khuzdar (01),Mastung (14), Kharan, (03) Nushki (02), Pishin (45), Killabdullah (09), Sibi (08) Ziarat (05), Panjgoor (04) and Harnai (02). 02 positive cases expired due to Co-morbidity associated with COVID-19 today. Secretary Health chaired the Smart Lock down strategy meeting, task assigned operational cell to coordinate with all stakeholders. The COVID-19 positivity rate is 11.56%, 78% of cases are male, the mean age of cases were 35 years with age range of 2 months -94 years. The total deaths are 16 in province due to Co-Morbidity with COVID-19. The primary reason of deaths are renal failure / other co-morbidities. The deaths are taken because secondary came COVID-19 positive. P.RRT was part of meeting at PPHI Office Quetta regarding the D. RRTs workload distribution, availability of teams for day and night shifts, Chief Executive officer PPHI, DC Quetta, DHO Quetta, DSM PPHI Quetta and MERK official were also present P. RRT screened 56 persons for COVID-19 and took 28 Lab samples of suspected cases from Health department and Sariab Riad Quetta On 30th April 2020, the RRTs screened 2075 persons with following details, P. RRT 56, Quetta 975 and Lasbella 1022 persons for COVID-19. RRTs took total 223 lab samples of Suspected COVID19 cases with following details, P. RRT 28 and Quetta 178

EPIDEMIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF 1045 CAES TILL 30 APRIL 2020 A total of One thousand and forty-five (1045) confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported from Balochistan. The case fatality rate was 1.3%.
