COVID-19 is spreading very fast in Balochsitan province. The number
of confirmed cases has risen to 1172 with 36 new cases including overall 19 deaths (CFR 3.0). The active cases are 970 in province. Local transmission is increasing, out of 1172, 87% (1,019) cases are from local community, Quetta (882), Chagai (15) Lorlai (07), Jaffarabad (21), Khuzdar (01),Mastung (14), Kharan, (03) Nushki (02), Pishin (45), Killabdullah (09), Sibi (08) Ziarat (06), Panjgoor (04) and Harnai (02). 03 positive cases expired due to Co-morbidity associated with COVID-19. Special Secretary Health chaired the ICU management committee meeting to strengthen ICU in hospitals. Malaria/VBD program lead with Chief Epidemiologist visit district Lasbela related to COVID-19. The COVID-19 positivity rate is 11.76%, 78% of cases are male, the mean age of cases were 35 years with age range of 2 months -94 years.
The total deaths are 19 in province due to Co-Morbidity with COVID-19. The primary reason of deaths are renal failure / other co-morbidities. The deaths are taken because secondary came COVID-19 positive. Death Category with positive COVID-19 03 Renal Failure 06 Hypertension/Diabetes 09 ARDS/COPD 01 Carcinoma The recovered rate of positive cases is 16 %. The total recovered are 183.

The most affected age group was 30-44 years 33.78% (n=353) followed by 15-29 years 26.51% (n=277). The highest attack rate (284/1000000 population) was in age group 60+ years followed by 45-59 Years age group (AR=284/1000000 population). The overall attack rate was 79/1000000 population in Province.

The RRTs screened total 1575 and took 211 samples of suspected persons todays. P.RRT and Operational Cell Incharge attended meeting regarding Home isolation persons repeat test and shifting of Positive cases to isolation centre's, DC(R) Quetta chaired the meeting with participation of DHO Quetta, DSM PPHI Quetta and SDPO police. .P.RRT attended a meeting regarding Home isolation persons protocols at Secretary Health office chaired by Special Secretary Health. P.RRT analysed the home isolated, Cases at SKBZ hospital and FJ Hospital COVID-19 of total 1128 cases data with following details: 840 (74%) home isolated 185 (16%) Recovered 82 (7%) at SKBZ Hospital Quetta

EPIDEMIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF 1136 CAES TILL 1st MAY 2020 A total of one thousand and eleven hundred thirty six (1136) confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported from Balochistan. The case fatality rate was 1.4%. The mean age of cases were 35 years, median age was 33 years, and with age range of 2 months -94 years. Mean Age 34.9 Years Median Age

Age Group: The most affected age group was 30-44 years 32.92% (n=374) followed by 15-29 years 27.11% (n=308).The highest attack rate (298/1000000 population) was in age group 60+ years followed by 45-59 Years age group (AR=240/1000000 population). The overall attack rate was 86/1000000 population in Province.
