Hair-raiser \What makes horror movies spooky

Horror may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but the genre does have a large following. The thrill of watching a blood-curdling and hair raising film is what brings droves of people to cinema houses every time a spooky flick is produced, but what makes for a good horror film? This week in Hi-Five, we have brought to you the real reasons why horror has a large audience.

Eerie components Psychologist Dr. Glenn D Walters identifies three primary factors of the horror film allure. The first is tension — created through mystery, suspense, gore, terror or shock. These are pretty straight-forward elements of horror; the craft and technique of filmmaking. The second factor is relevance. In order for a horror film to be seen, it has to be relevant to potential viewers. This relevance can take the form of universal relevance — capturing the fear of things like death and the unknown. It can take on cultural relevance dealing with societal issues. Audiences can find subgroup relevance — groups such as teenagers which many horror films are about.

Horrific incidents:

The Conjuring 2

The last factor is unrealism. Despite the graphic nature of recent horror films, we all know at some level that what we are watching is not real. Another research on disgust, shows students in 1994 a series of gruesome documentary video, few could make it to the end — and yet these same students would pay to see even worse acts conducted on a movie screen. It is because when we walk into a theater we know what we’re seeing on screen is fabricated reality. This also explains why we all remember that scary movie we saw when we were way too young but looks hokey now. Children have a harder time separating reality and fiction especially when its on a movie screen.

THE EXORCIST

An Indian pensioner died while watching the horror film The Conjuring 2 — only for his body then to go missing. As the newly-released film reached its climax during a cinema screening G. Ram Mohan complained of chest pains before fainting. H Prasad, a friend, then rushed the 65-year-old to a nearby hospital, but he had died by the time they arrived. Much like a horror script, the real-life events then took an eerie plot twist with the body and the friend disappearing, having never arrived at the morgue.

The Exorcist is a classic horror movie, and for a good reason. This story of an innocent little girl possessed by an evil demon has been captivating audiences since the movie’s release in 1973. You won’t forget the image of the child’s possessed face, or her unnatural body positions, including the famous revolving head scene.

THE EXORCIST

Poltergeist

One of the most infamous tales of a horror movie curse is tied to The Exorcist. Ranging from on-set fires to nearly a dozen mysterious deaths in the immediate families of crew members. Furthering belief in the alleged curse is the fact that Jack MacGowran, who played Burke Dennings, died of influenza shortly after completing his scenes. The strange activities continued after the movie was shot, with many incidents of fainting, passing out and/or vomiting recorded in viewers.

Another classic creepy horror movie is Poltergeist, which was released in 1982. If you have not already seen this movie, then you need to add it to your watch list. You might not think that a movie where the evil is completely faceless could be so terrifying, but in reality that only adds to the scare factor.

THE OMEN Just three years after the release of The Exorcist, The Omen fell victim to a similar rash of mysterious activity, or many cast and crew members lost their lives before, during and soon after the film was shot. The most chilling example of the so-called ‘Omen Curse’, however, is tied to special effects artist John Richardson. The artist, who designed the film’s memorable decapitation scene, was involved in a fatal car accident in late 1976, which beheaded his female passenger.

A Nightmare on Elm Street Serial killer Freddy Krueger stalks this Midwestern neighborhood, bringing terror and death to teenagers while they thought they were safe in their beds. Featuring a young Johnny Depp, this movie spread fear across America when it was released in 1984.

What awaits Pakistan on tour of England? Never before in the history of cricket, if not all sports, an away team has been under as much scrutiny as Pakistan will be on their tour of England. For when the Men in Green, on July 14, take the field at Lord’s, they will not be returning just to the spiritual home of cricket, they will also be returning to the scene of the most heinous of crimes the gentleman’s game has ever seen. Six years ago, at the very place, Pakistan’s batting line-up crumbled on the fourth day of the fourth and final Test, but not due to the brilliance of England bowlers — at least not entirely. The foundation of their demise was laid a day earlier when the now defunct News of the World implicated three Pakistan cricketers in the infamous spot-fixing scandal. The rest, as they say, is history — but the kind the entire cricket fraternity hopes is never repeated. That infamy means every single move of each and every Pakistan player, both on and off the field, will be monitored during the two-and-a-half months they will spend in the United Kingdom. It also makes the tour possibly the most important one Pakistan has been on in years. With bat and ball, and regarding integrity and fair play, points need to be proved. To make sure the targets are achieved, the Pakistan Cricket Board has dispatched the touring party more than two weeks before it even has to play a practice match. The extra time, it is believed, will help players get used to local conditions and put them in the best position to claim a first Test series win in England in two decades. Since a Mushtaq Ahmed-inspired Pakistan crushed their hosts 2-0 in 1996, the tourists have been to England thrice — drawing one Test series and losing the other two. But they have also returned the favour when England visited them in the UAE in recent years, nearly whitewashing them both times, including once late last year. However, that would mean little in England where the conditions are vastly different to what Pakistan is accustomed to. Moreover, the current English side is in a rich vein of form, having recently steamrolled Sri Lanka 2-0 in a three-Test series and beating South Africa in South Africa 2-1 before that.

3

Hi light

Key players Pakistan’s 17-man squad for the five-day format has some veterans, a few newbies and of course Mohammad Amir, one of the three busted in the aforementioned betting scandal. The left-arm quick will undoubtedly be Pakistan’s primary weapon of choice. With English batsmen tending to struggle against leg-spinners, the returning Yasir Shah could also be the key. Meanwhile, in batting, skipper Misbahul Haq, Younis Khan and the two shorter formats’ captains, Azhar Ali and Sarfraz Ahmed, will lead the charge. The English, currently busy dealing with Sri Lanka, haven’t named their squad yet. But it’s unlikely to deviate too much from the group that defeated the Islanders 2-0 in Tests, with Nick Compton expected to be the only casualty. Captain Alistair Cook and in-form Jonny Bairstow will be the main threat to Pakistan with the bat, whereas the two-pronged pace attack of Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad, in all likeliness, will test the mettle of the visiting batsmen.

Dark horses Opening batsman Shan Masood has spent a considerable amount of time in England and is familiar with the conditions there, unlike some of his teammates. The left-hander, known for his sound technique, will not get a better chance than this to become a regular fixture of the Pakistan side. For the home side, the one with the best chance of a breakthrough series is fast-bowler Steven Finn. At 6 feet 7 inches, he is tall, can hit the deck, has pace and can move the ball both ways. That’s the prototypical pacer to trouble the bouncefearing subcontinent batsmen.

A battle of mettle By Zohaib Ahmed

Pakistan’s tour to England begins on July 14 and all eyes are on the Green Shirts. The question is: Will they perform or is the nation in for another disappointment?

Fashion

Wing it by Alyzeh Hyder The winged eyeliner is a slightly complicated trend, even the best struggle with it. This is understandable as it’s basically art on your face. The crisp line has to be aligned to your eyes and be equal on both sides without any fallout or residue on the rest of the face. It’s far more stressful than the end result lets on. To help your winged problem, here are a few things you should familiarise yourself with that will ensure balance and perfection on your eyes with every application. Another thing to be kept in mind is that winged liner does not go well with every eye shape, but worry not there are plenty of other styles that could work well with the shape of your eye.

Types of eyeliners The pencil Pencil liner is eyeliner that is easier to apply, but often isn’t smooth enough or pigmented enough for dramatic effects. It’s a decent option for daily use. The gel Gel liner has a smooth surface as it glides easily and leaves a classic matte finish. It wears well and is quite forgiving. The liquid Liquid eyeliners are used for precise results. It’s usually used for winged eyeliners, leaving a super artsy kind of look.

Eye shapes Round eyes These are circular that have more vertical space than horizontal space, making it less suitable for winged eyeliners, what would look chic on such a shape is the classic bar for a noticeable and neat depth. Almond eyes The name is self-explanatory. These are shaped like almonds, therefore being horizontally long, making them perfect for the cat-eye/heavy winged eyeliner look. Thin almond eyes Are the same as almond eyes but with slightly less space vertically above the eyes, making them adequate for eyeliner styles like the double-up as well as the under-liner. Round almond eyes As the name says, they are round but still in the shape of an almond which is giving them both horizontal and vertical space, making them suitable for anything from the basic eyeliner to definitely the bold winged eyeliner. Hooded eyes They have zero vertical eye space in terms of eyelids. Hence, it’s best to use a plain softly drawn line to give the basic definition needed to draw attention to them.

All those wings Classic: The line begins from above the iris and ends a little after the outer corner of the eye where the line slightly thickens.

Pin-up: The line here is long, starting from the inside the corner of the eye and extending all the way to the outer corner of the eyelid, giving a very Marilyn Monroe look.

Smooth: This line is rounded that follows the lash-line. This is perfect for daily wear.

Simple: This line is sharp and thin which follows the lash-line.

Drama: Here the black line is quite thick. It covers the whole upper eyelid, while the lower one is blackened as well.

Luxe: Here you have to highlight the same areas as ‘drama’. The only difference is that the line here is thinner in comparison.

Feline: Here the line is sharp and thin which starts from the inner corner of the eye and is raised on the outer part of the eye.

Egyptian: This is a thick double line that slightly curls at the outer corner of the eye. While it goes downwards from below the eyelid line.

Bold: The line here is a thick one from start to end, but only on the upper eyelid – a very fashionable look these days.

Every day: The line here is a plain one that thickens at the middle of the eyelid, right above the iris, making the eyes look bigger.

Double-up: This is a normal line that thickens over in the outer corner of the eye, on the lid as well as the lower lash-line, simultaneously.

Basic: This is a thin line that starts from the beginning of the lash-line and follows all the way through on both the upper eyelid and partly the lower one.

World wide weird Hi light Get your weekly dose of unusual and funny news from across the globe!

Hippo on the loose Motorists in southern Spain were given a massive surprise by a hippopotamus who’d escaped from the circus and plodded over a busy street. The hippo was the star of several videos posted to social media after it stopped traffic in the southern town of Palos de la Frontera. No one was injured before police and circus staff were able to corral the animal and return it to captivity, local media reported. Hippos are herbivores and according to National Geographic can grow up to 8,000lbs in weight — around twice the average weight of a car in the US. NBCNEWS.COM

Bee invasion A stop sign in Texas became an unlikely temporary home to a massive swarm of bees that made it appear as if the sign was growing a massive beard. A video posted online shows the stop sign at the corner of Upper Broadway and Mesquite in Corpus Christi playing host to a giant swarm of bees. The video maker, who apparently has no fear of stings, gets in close to the swarm and shows how they hang off the bottom of the sign by clinging to one another. The sign looks from a distance as if it was growing a small amount of hair on the top and a full beard on its lower half. UPI.COM

Unusual pet hairstyles An unusual pet salon in southern Taiwan attracts customers by providing fur grooming services that range from cute to bizarre. Those include trimming the back fur of pets into the shape of Hello Kitty, a teddy bear and something the salon calls ‘Stegosaurus spine’. Most of pet salon Igogo’s designs are co-designed by Lee Mei-chen and salon owner Ou Shih-jou. Thirty-year-old Lee who already has six years of experience as a pet groomer, although she started out with trimming human hair. Lee said the designs on different pets are planned according to the natural assets the pets bring to the grooming table. “Because we don’t provide the service of dying fur into different colours, we try to find a style that matches the appearance of (the pet) and then come up with a design. Of course everyone thinks that Hello Kitty is white and that a lion is dark brown. We try to come up with designs based on that concept,” she said. Owner Ou said the idea for the ‘stegosaurus design’ came from their customers, who wanted something different to the usual full-body trim. “If a cat needs to have its fur trimmed in the summer, the most common style is almost naked. Pet owners thought that there were no other styles, so they wanted to be more creative and asked us to come up with a design for them. When a cat gets angry, the fur on its back erects, that made us come up with a style called “Stegosaurus design”. It (makes the cat) look like a small dinosaur. The owners were happy after they came back to see it, thinking it was quite creative,” she said. Although the pet salon only opened its doors for the first time in September last year, it has already built a loyal customer base. One of them has to take a 30-minute drive to the shop every time she visits from her home in Kaohsiung. HUFFINGTONPOST.COM

Curry-scented gull A seagull was dyed bright orange after he plunged into a vat of chicken tikka masala at a food factory in Wales. The bird fell in while trying to scavenge a piece of meat from a bin. He was rescued by staff and picked up to be cleaned by a volunteer for Vale Wildlife Hospital near Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire. Washing up liquid was used to remove the bright orange pigment from his feathers — but it failed to wash away the smell of curry. Veterinary nurse Lucy Kells said: “We had never seen anything like it before. The thing that shocked us the most was the smell. He smelled amazing, he really smelled good.” The bird, which has since been nicknamed Gullfrazie on Facebook, will remain at the centre until he is well enough to be released. “I think he has been put off spicy food but otherwise he seems to be doing really well,” Mrs Kells added. 6 A lost war Duncan Jones fails at Warcraft By Sameen Amer

A string of subpar video game adaptations have proved that Hollywood has yet to master the art of turning games into spectacular movies. Many film-makers have struggled with such adaptations, and director Duncan Jones has now joined this list, as his attempt to bring Blizzard Entertainment’s immensely popular Warcraft to the big screen doesn’t yield an exciting, compelling adventure. Inspired by the 1994 game Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, the film explores the origin of the clash between the Alliance and the Horde. Using warlock Gul’dan’s (Daniel Wu) powerful “fel” magic — which feeds on life itself, and promises great power but exacts a terrible price — a group of orcs travel from their dying homeworld, Draenor, to the realm of Azeroth. They raid settlements and capture natives, intending to sacrifice them to bring the whole orc Horde through. But the devastation leaves noble orc chieftain Durotan (Toby Kebbell) feeling like they are being manipulated by the demonic Gul’dan, whose dark magic is destroying every land they occupy.

Gaming

Deciphering the Universe With the film out, many of us have become quite interested in Warcraft game franchise again, in fact many new players have also joined the game fandom. The problem is the whole Warcraft universe is quite confusing so here’s a breakdown of how everything works.

Movie review

The humans, meanwhile, try to put up a defence, with the region’s ruler, King Llane Wrynn (Dominic Cooper), knight Anduin Lothar (Travis Fimmel), mage Khadgar (Ben Schnetzer) and guardian Medivh (Ben Foster) struggling to protect the people while uncovering the truth behind the orc’s plan and attempting to figure out how the invaders can be stopped from taking over the kingdom. The project’s earnest execution makes it seem like the filmmakers really want you to like the movie, but then they don’t give you any reasons to do so. Underneath all the CGI wizardry, Warcraft just relays a fairly generic tale of good versus evil. The plot has, however, been made overly confusing by populating the narrative with too many characters (with names that are often hard to remember, especially for those who aren’t already familiar with the series) and several unnecessary arcs that don’t really go anywhere. The editing, too, is choppy, and the inconsistent pacing makes it hard to fully take in the proceedings and stay invested in the action. Both the human and orc characters are one-dimensional archetypes, their interactions hammy and dialogues dull. The acting isn’t exceptional either. Actors like Dominic Cooper and Ben Foster just seem out of place in this project, while there is nothing convincing about Paula Patton’s portrayal of a half-orc, half-human character. Maybe Duncan Jones wasn’t the best choice to helm the project and bring the world of Warcraft to cinematic life. Or perhaps any other director would have faced the same difficulties cramming all this exposition into a film even though it seems more suited for a television mini-series. Still, gamers who are familiar with the franchise will enjoy the nostalgic hit this film provides and diehard fans of fantasy adventures will appreciate the film’s setting and visual effects. For the rest of us, though, this derivative, predictable outing is an overlong slog delivered through unengaging characters and it doesn’t offer anything distinctive or exciting enough to merit a visit to the cinema. Rating:

The basics Warcraft is a franchise of video games, novels and other media created by Blizzard Entertainment. The series is made up of five core gamess. The first three : Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos are in the real-time strategy genre, where opposing players command virtual armies in battle against each other or a computer-controlled enemy. The fourth and best-selling title of the franchise World of Warcraft is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing game (MMORPG), where players control their character and interact with each other in a virtual world. The most recent title in the franchise is Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft a digital collectible card game.

The setting All games in the series have been set in and around the world of Azeroth, a high fantasy setting. Initially, the start of the series focused on the human nations that make up the Eastern Kingdoms, and the Orcish Horde, which arrived in Azeroth via a dark portal, beginning the great wars. The Orcs came from another world, referred to as Draenor, which then turns into Outland, the world that will be shattered into pieces by demonic magic during the events of Warcraft II. Later on in the series the world of Azeroth was expanded, revealing the new continents of Kalimdor, Northrend and Pandaria, allowing the introduction of the Night Elves, Tauren and other major races into the universe.

Other films based on video games: Mortal Kombat (1995) Three unknowing martial artists are summoned to a mysterious island to compete in a tournament whose outcome will decide the fate of the world. Max Payne (2005) Coming together to solve a series of murders in New York City are a police detective whose family was slain as part of a conspiracy and an assassin out to avenge her sister’s death. The duo will be hunted by the police, the mob and a ruthless corporation. Hitman (2007) A gun-for-hire known only as Agent 47 hired by a group known only as ‘The Organization’ is ensnared in a political conspiracy, which finds him pursued by both Interpol and the Russian military as he treks across Russia and Eastern Europe.

The world of Azeroth also contains the traditional fantasy setting races of elves, dwarves, gnomes, orcs and trolls. The collective narrative of all the games is cohesive and is formed under the Warcraft universe. So even though the games may look like they are standalones they are all linked together.

The latest World of Warcraft: Legion is the sixth expansion set to the World of Warcraft MMORPG, following Warlords of Draenor. It was announced on August 6, 2015. The expansion will be released on August 30, 2016. Battlenet’s official website gives excited players a sneak peek with it’s cinematic trailer, followed by these foreboding words: ‘The Tomb of Sargeras has been reopened, and the demons of the Burning Legion pour into our world. Their full, terrifying might is fixed on summoning the Dark Titan to Azeroth — and they’ve already located the key to his return. With the Alliance and Horde devastated, only you can take up Warcraft’s most legendary artifacts, scour the ancient Broken Isles for relics of the Titans and challenge the Legion before Azeroth’s last hope dies. Steel yourself, champion. Extinction is imminent.’ The expansion raises the existing level cap from 100 to 110, features artifact weapons for each classes’ specialisations, includes a new area on Azeroth called the Broken Isles and introduces the demon hunter hero class that starts at level 98. It will initially include 10 five -man dungeons and two raids.

Six steps for a successful internship

7

Since the summer internship season is in full swing, here’s a list of things you could do to make your internship experience stress-free and entertaining

1 Practice your commute

4 Start speaking the lingo

Arriving late, in general, is bad. Arriving late on the first day is awful and sets a sloppy tone for the rest of your internship. Take a test drive to the office. Knowing where you are going will only help you be on time when coming in on your first day. Especially if you’re planning on using public transportation to commute. Even if you are using your own transport, knowing how to get there would not go amiss.

Make sure you understand the lingo of the field you’re interning in. In case you don’t have an idea about what you’re dealing with BusinessDictionary.com has a ‘browse by subject’ search tool that allows you to scroll through hundreds of field-specific jargon that will have you talking the talk in no time. On a similar note clean up your everyday vocabulary. Try to practice limiting the number of times you use filler phrases such as ‘like’ and ‘umm’ when speaking — you’ll sound more professional in minutes.

2 Become proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Of course, we all learned how to type Word documents in third grade computer class. While you’re probably a pro at using emojis, that won’t come in handy at the office. Especially if your internship involves a lot of typing or mathematical formulas, becoming familiar with Word and Excel shortcuts can save you a lot of time and frustration. Also, if you’re a Mac user, you should take time before you start your internship to familiarize yourself with how a PC works and vice versa by playing around on a friend’s computer.

5 Learn office etiquette Going from a college classroom to a real world office setting will definitely require a bit more etiquette than you’re used to. While you can freely text your friends all through philosophy class and take your usual midday snack break during your finance lecture, it’s these seemingly unnoticeable behaviors that will drive your supervisor off the deep end if continued in the workplace.

3 Read the newspaper

6 Bring a notebook

While we are not suggesting that you read the entire newspaper cover to cover, it’s important to be current on world events. If your co-workers are discussing the latest news and you have no input, you’re not doing yourself any favours. No matter the industry you are interning in, knowing the names of key players in your country’s government and staying up-to-date on major world events is imperative.

Chances are your first day will be nothing but co-worker after co-worker explaining the ins and outs of your workplace. While it’s tempting to make mental notes, after the fourth mental sticky-note, you’ve probably already forgotten the first thing you needed to remember. Make sure to come prepared with a notebook. That way, you can write and organise everything you need to know in one simple place.

Top tips for a winning resume Layout Making your CV fit on one side of an page of A4 is a good approach if you have not had work experience before. Line breaks and bullet points are good ways of keeping the flow of your CV’s layout visually appealing. Just because you are trying to limit the overall length of your CV, don’t be tempted to cram it with blocks of text. Typeface Conventional typefaces are the best ones to go for when writing a CV. Avoid informal-looking fonts such as Comic Sans or AR Carter. If you have any doubts about your choice, change the typeface for something more conventional. Only if you are going for a graphic design job or similar should you even consider the funkier typefaces. Font size Your name at the top of the CV can be in a larger font size than the rest of the CV. Use a similar font size for headings that break up sections of your CV along the way. If you are pushed for room, then simply make sub headings bold rather than employing a larger font size. A font size of about 11 is as small as you should go, on the other hand you should not go so large that your CV appears to have been padded out. Format Most CVs begin with your personal details and then progress to an opening personal statement. Then add a section about your educational background. This should include the most relevant professional courses and training you have been on and only then move on to university, college and school qualifications. A good way of bringing a CV to a conclusion is to list a few personal interests and hobbies.

Bieber’s belly-flop

Selena models Taking a break from her charttopping music career, Selena Gomez is the star of the Fall 2016 ads from Louis Vuitton. In the newly-released images, the ‘Come and Get It’ star poses up a storm for photographer Bruce Weber, sporting a fur trapper hat with a leather jacket and a LV handbag at the centre of the ensemble.

Iggy and Nick part ways Their relationship has apparently suffered some serious blows as of late, and it turns out Iggy Azalea and Nick Young won’t be continuing down love’s highway together. On Sunday, the ‘Fancy’ rapper took to her Instagram to let the world know she’s a single woman once again. Iggy wrote, “Unfortunately, although I love Nick and I have tried and tried to rebuild my trust in him — It’s become apparent in the last few weeks I am unable to. I genuinely wish Nick the best. It’s never easy to part ways with the person you planned your entire future with, but futures can be rewritten and as of today mine is a blank page.”

He’s famous for his high-energy concerts and calculated dance moves, but Justin Bieber is making headlines for a very different reason today. The “All That Matters” singer suffered a stage snafu during his performance at the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Canada on June 16. Justin was in between songs when he strutted across the stage and wound up falling into an open panel in the floor. Though the sound of his tumble was pretty dramatic, Bieber quickly recovered and climbed out of the hole.

Lovato bashes Mariah Carey The ‘Heart Attack’ singer allegedly commented on an Instagram meme comparing Mariah to Ariana Grande, with the caption, “When you order it online vs when it arrives”, which hints that Ariana cannot match up to Mariah. Demi wrote, “You got it the wrong way around honey,” hinting that she preferred Ariana to Mariah, and she later explained her remarks by criticising Mariah for the way she treats people. “Mariah is a legend and is so talented but constantly disses people,” she is reported to have written in an Instagram comment. “It’s nasty the way she treats Jennifer. Ari (Ariana) did nothing wrong.” Mariah famously told paparazzi, “I don’t know her,” when asked about Jennifer in the early 2000s and they have both been asked about it ever since. The ‘Jenny From the Block’ singer recently told US host Wendy Williams, “(Mariah) is forgetful I guess! We’ve met many times.”

Queen tells William off, Prince George face-palms The rain-sodden celebrations of the Queen’s 90th birthday may be five or six days in the glorious past now, but one small moment has just gained wider attention. Overlooking their loyal subjects and marching soldiers on the Buckingham Palace balcony, the whole Windsor clan had gathered to watch proceedings. Except something wasn’t right. Prince William was sitting down. Which provoked a sharp reaction from Her Magesty. Whether royalist or not, lots of people have been enjoying the exchange between a man and his grandmother. But perhaps the best bit about it was the facepalm from prince George that followed this exchange.

Miley sports an interesting t-shirt The ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer and The Hunger Games actor have remained tight-lipped on their rekindled romance, but recently, Miley seemed to confirm their on-again relationship on Instagram. The 23-year-old posted a selfie with a mirror behind her, with the name ‘Hemsworth’ printed across the back of her shirt. She didn’t offer context for the snap, but rather captioned the photo with three cats with heart eyes emojis. Miley and Liam met while filming The Last Song together in 2009, and got engaged in 2012. However, they split in 2013, before finding their way back to each other last December. The pop star has been sporting the custom engagement ring Liam gave her ever since they reunited, and the pair has been photographed together several times, but have yet to confirm their official status.

Sophie Turner talks about Sansa’s latest achievement Her character drew first blood during the Battle of the Bastards event, and Sophie Turner told HBO that she was thrilled with Sansa Stark’s new milestone on a Game of Thrones behind-the-scenes video. The lovely actress explained, “It’s amazing. It’s Sansa’s first kill and it’s such a strong moment for her because all her life she’s been affected by these men who have just done such terrible things to her. She’s always carried it with her and this is the first moment you hear her say [this dialogue] ‘Your words will disappear. Your name will disappear. All memory of you will disappear’.”

Fresh new trailers The Legend of Tarzan Warner Bros (WB) has unleashed the final trailer dubbed for David Yates’ The Legend of Tarzan, which hits theaters next month.
