Icy: The leader of the trio. Her name refers to her powers erss of ice. She despises the Winx Club, especially Bloom. She is see seen en as the most powerful of th the he three.

Darcy: Darcy works with all forms of darkness, as her na name ame suggests (“Darcy” meaning “dark” in Gaelic). She has long, dar dark rk brown hair with blond bangs swept to the side of her h face.

Stormy: Seen as the youngest of the trio, her powers rs involve i wind, storms, and weather. She has the shortest temper perr of the group and is prone to violent outbursts. She has dark purple, urrple, short curly and quite frizzy hair that looks like a storm has been through n th hrough it.

The Specialists are a group of students who attend an all-boys school near Alfea, the Red Fountain School for Heroics and Bravery.

Sky: The king of Eraklyon, he feels stifled by his position. However, he has a strong sense of duty that sometimes causes conflicts, be it with Riven or Bloom.

Brandon: He is Sky’s squire and is a great swordsman. He is sometimes conceited like Stella, a reason why they are a good match. He has short brown hair.

Timmy: He acts as the geek of the group sometimes and he comes from a long line of scientists. He has short ginger hair, wears glasses and is an extremely good marksman.

Riven: A lone wolf, very competitive and good at sports, he sees himself as Sky’s rival. He has short spiked burgundy or dark pink hair and purple eyes.

Helia: An artistic student, he is a great pilot and a pacifist. His uncle/grandfather, Saladin, is the headmaster of Red Fountain. He was the top student in Red Fountain until he decided to quit and dedicate his life to nature and poetry. He has rejoined Red Fountain now.

Nabu: Nabu is the prince of an unknown kingdom on the planet Andros and is a wizard. He is officially not a real specialist as he does not attend Red Fountain but he is often seen accompanying the other specialists.

Heart face magnets

Instructions: Draw a heart on the tracing paper to create a template to copy onto the craft paper.

Cut out the heart template.

• 1 sheet pink craft foam or paper square + 1 sheet of another colour (perhaps brown, black, red or yellow. The second colour might be the colour of someone’s hair who you want to give the hearts to) • Glue • Ribbon • Scissors • Small magnet • Tracing paper • Pen • Wiggly eyes

Using the template cut out one pink heart and two of the other colour.

Fan the hearts outwards, curves to the bottom, and place the pink heart in the middle so that it lies over the other coloured hearts.

Allow only half of each outer heart to show. The other half should be behind the pink heart.

Place the hearts face-down on the table and glue together to keep in place.

Cut out a small circle from the pink foam/paper.

Glue this to the back in the middle of the pink hearts curves.

This is the “chin” for the face. The two outer hearts are the hair.

Turn the hearts face-up and glue the wiggly eyes into place on the pink heart.

Draw a nose and also a smile on the lower circle. Let the glue dry.

Glue a small magnet to the back of the hearts and once dry, place it on the fridge for all to enjoy.

Remember kids, always get permission from your parents before you start.

It’s always a good idea to have a helper nearby.

Drawing the Quaid’s Mazar This week ToffeeTV.com’s Chief Illustrator, Talea Zafar, shows you how to draw the Quaid’s Mazar in five easy steps!

How to make it:

Step 1

Draw a diamond-shape outline. This will be the top of the base of the Mazar.

Next, you need to complete the base by drawing lines from each of the 3 corners of the diamond. Connect the lines at the base.

Step 3

Now to create the dome of the building. Since the dome actually sits on top of the base, you will need to start a little inside of the corner at the top. You can see a little space between the left and right corners and the dome outline.

When shading, you can make this space a little darker.

Once you have drawn the basic structure, you now need to create the doorways. These are oval shapes drawn on the two ‘walls’ you can see in this step.

Finally, you can add some texture to the wall. You can also add any details now that you have the complete structure in front of you.

Completed in the 1960’s, Mazar-e-Quaid stands proud in the center of Karachi. Designed by Yahya Merchant, the Mausoleum is 75x75 meters at its base and rises 43m high, atop a 4-meter tall platform. There is an entrance on each side and there is a beautiful park around the Mausoleum, fitted with strong beamed spotlights which project light on the brilliant white Mausoleum at night.

Lord of balloons Some fans can go the extra mile to show their love and appreciation. That’s exactly what a Lord of the Rings fan has done by building his own hobbit hole — out of 2,600 balloons.

Jeremy Telford, 34, spent 40 hours over three days inflating the balloons using a hand-pump.

And, thanks to a very understanding wife, he was able to build the shiny structure in his living room.

Mr Telford, from Pleasant Grove, Utah, said: “I have been a Tolkien fan ever since reading The Hobbit in Junior High School. I spent a few hours searching online for 18th century English furniture to try to get a style to work from. From there I designed the layout and estimated the number of balloons it would take to make the sculpture.”

He added: “When the day came, we set up the camera to take pictures every 18 seconds for a timelapse video. My three children, aged seven, five, and two helped. I inflated each of the 2,600 balloons with a hand pump. The sculpture itself stayed up for three days after being completed. After three days we let the kids demolish it for another two. Here it is, the ultimate for you techies out there — a rocking chair that has built in speakers and battery charger all for your iPads.

The iRock from Switzerland-based Micasa Labs generates power from the rocking motion which is turned into power for your portable device.

Developers claim if you use iRock for 60 minutes you can recharge an iPad 3 to 35%. You can also recharge any other apple device.

A spokesman says: “iRock is inspired by traditional rocking chairs and we designed it to resemble the classic, proven designed old rocking chairs. What we have added to the design is a generator that transforms the movement into power. We have equipped the iRock with an iPad stand and a set of built in speakers in the back rest.”

One would expect a cereal box toy to drop into the cereal bowl while enjoying a wholesome breakfast but a German man was shocked beyond belief when he found a mummified bat in his bowl.

Experts in Stuttgart believe the bat had flown into the packaging by mistake and had suffocated to death.

Scientists have been unable to establish whether the bat had flown into the box of Mini-Zimties cereal at the factory or after they had been opened.

Food safety official Jorg Sturmer said: “I have never seen anything like it. This really is an unusual case.”

Most of us are now equipped with handy smartphones and start clicking away and uploading pictures on Facebook within a matter of seconds but a Chinese centenarian couple has waited long to have their wedding photos taken — after 88 years of marriage.

Wu Conghan, 101, and his wife Wu Sognshi, 103, married in 1924, and have been together for almost nine decades.

When they got married there wasn’t the option to have photos taken and it is something they have dreamt of having ever since.

Recently their dream was made reality by a local photo company and the pair posed up in their wedding finery for the shots.

Sognshi wore a white wedding dress and veil and carried some red flowers, and she made sure Conghan looked dapper in his white suit and bow tie.

Mitt Romney may have lost the overall election but he wins Arizona’s support — especially from Arizona’s women.

An Arizona woman, in despair at the re-election of President Barack Obama, ran down her husband with the family car in suburban Phoenix because he failed to vote in the election.

Holly Solomon, 28, was arrested after running over husband Daniel Solomon following a wild chase that left him pinned underneath the vehicle.

Daniel Solomon, 36, was in critical condition at a local hospital, but is expected to survive, Gilbert police spokesman Sergeant Jesse Sanger said.

Police said Daniel Solomon told them his wife became angry over his “lack of voter participation” in the presidential election and believed her family would face hardship as a result of Obama winning another term.

Witnesses reported the argument broke out in a parking lot and escalated. Mrs Solomon then chased her husband around the lot with the car, yelling at him as he tried to hide behind a light pole. He was struck after attempting to flee to a nearby street. SOURCE: FORWARD.COM

The US company, Vat19, admits its creation, which contains a whopping 36,000 calories, is “as ridiculous as candy can get”.

Priced at nearly £95 (Rs14,438), it boasts intricate eyes, blended colouring, ridged coils, and thousands of individually carved scales.

The hand-made treat comes in either blue raspberry with green apple or red cherry flavours.

Four resourceful teenagers from Nigeria have created a generator that runs on a material easily found in any part of the world — pee.

14-year-olds Duro-Aina Adebola, Akindele Abiola, Faleke Oluwatyoin, and 15-year-old Bello Eniola created their urine-powered generator as part of Maker Faire Africa, a startup event held in Lagos, Nigeria that highlights African innovations and inventions.

The device works by separating out the hydrogen from urine and using it to power the generator.

Although incredibly inventive, the girls’ device isn’t quite ready to power up a house just yet. It has been pointed out that the separation of hydrogen from urine still requires an outside source of electricity.

Another issue is safety, since hydrogen poses an explosion risk.

Still, there’s no doubt that the teens are on the right track when it comes to thinking about creative ways to harness energy.
