Oh, I’m not embarrassed by any of the music on my phone. I’m very proud of my cheap songs and quirky dance moves!

What is your favourite food?

I never had a favourite food until this one time I was traveling out of Pakistan and for three weeks I dreamt of biryani – three nights in a row! That’s when I knew…

Island or city?

For a traveller, that’s a difficult question to answer. I’ve loved every place I’ve ever visited but my recent visit to the Mediterranean islands was love-worthy.

What three things can you never leave your house without?

I love my pink cheeks, so blush-on, my watch, and mera pyara dost, the iPhone!

I had a children-themed birthday party for my 29th birthday. All of us grown ups got into fights to win passing the pillow and musical chairs. It was hilarious!

How and when did you become interested in footwear?

Jooti Shooti was the most random concept, which came to me in the spur of the moment. I have always had a more-than-normal obsession with truck art and came across various truck art inspired products, but never footwear. So, on a random shopping spree for khussay, I had an epiphany to combine my love for truck art with khussay. Ever since, it’s all been about sharing two personal obsessions with others, who feel the same way.

What are your favourite shoes from your collection? n?

My personal favourite is all the peep-toe khussay. ay It combines c traditional and contemporary aesthetics. a thetics. They really are a masterpiece a and I am m so o proud p ud of this innovation.

Is there re any shoe you are emotionally emotion atta tached to and d why?

I would say I’m emotionally motionally attache hed to all of my Jooti Shooti pieces ass eac each piece ce reflects r a story of how it came into bein eing. I’ve always a had a keen interest in handicrafts, s, thanks t ks to those long hours spent with my grand ndmothe her. Watching her craft beautiful, handmade pieces pie int nto art, with whatever she could get her hand nds on. My M mother too, has the ability to discover the e most m exquisite exq art pieces, in the strangest places. The hey have ve significantly influenced my creative side de for my entire life.

Is there anything on your radar that you want to o make in the future?

I wish for Jooti Shooti to bloom into someth ething ng bigger and better in the future. Not just ust in terms te of sales and profit, but more importa rtantly ly in i terms of creativity and customerr loyalty lo alty. That’s my main focus for the future..

What’s your first memory of each other?

Maham: When she was going to her first day of school and being hysterical on the road! It was a mission to convince her to get in :p Haya: There are so many but I remember her throwing me down the stairs and bribing me to keep my mouth shut!

What is the craziest thing you have done together?

Maham: Rented a car and taken a road trip to Northern Quebec!

Haya: We’ve done too many crazy things together - the time we danced in the middle of the road in pouring rain in London to SRK songs!

What did you get punished for the most as a child?

Maham: I was always being punished for over eating!

My mom would hide everything from me :p (mostly bread and butter) haha Haya: Luckily get didn’t get punished much. Being the youngest (and possibly the favourite) has its perks!

If you could only wear one piece of clothing for the rest of your life, from the others closet, what would it be?

Maham:I love her collection of shoes and am always sneaking them out!
