Unforgettable looks of the week!

THE CUT

FASHION

Moomal Halepoto Pastel hues and pearls, two of our favourite things. We love how Moomal’s ensemble incorporates both and the gold embellishments give it that festive vibe. She adds some sparkly jewels to enhance her look and keeps her hair straight for a fuss-free look, while opting for winged eyeliner and peachy lips.

Rabia Farooqui We love the earthy hues and shimmery undertones of Rabia’s ensemble. The long peplum silhouette complements her physique and the deep red dupatta a gives the outfit a regal touch. She teams her outfit with pointed gold heels and antique earrings. Her hair is on point, and of course, we love a bold pout!

Sehar Haji Sehar is hitting all the right style notes for an afternoon wedding. We love the 3d embellished flowers on the organza overcoat and the lightweight look of the fabric gives her an easy-going vibe. She accessorises with diamond and pearl accessories and keeps her make-up soft and dewy. TEdit Loves!

Somal Halepoto You can never go wrong with a beige and gold colour palette for day weddings. Somal is a perfect example in a creation from her own collection. The gharara pants adorned with silver and gold detailing are so on-trend and we love the fringe detailing on the heavily embellished kameez. zz. She completes her look with antique jewellery and a bold lip, and we have our eye on that emerald and ruby necklace!

Samar Bawany Samar keeps it traditional in this angrakha style jora. We love the deep plum and earthy hues of the ensemble. Samar keeps her accessories to a minimum so that her outfit can do all the talking. The smokey eye and the peach glossy lips complement her look and she’s ready for a summer wedding!

WITH ANOUSHEY ASHRAF List three things that no one knows about you: I bite my nails when I’m nervous, I cry very easily and I used to pretend to be a TV host ever since I was nine years old – I even have videos of it! What is the most embarrassing song we will find on your phone? Oh, I’m not embarrassed by any of the music on my phone. I’m very proud of my cheap songs and quirky dance moves! What is your favourite food? I never had a favourite food until this one time I was traveling out of Pakistan and for three weeks I dreamt of biryani – three nights in a row! That’s when I knew… Island or city? For a traveller, that’s a difficult question to answer. I’ve loved every place I’ve ever visited but my recent visit to the Mediterranean islands was love-worthy. What three things can you never leave your house without? I love my pink cheeks, so blush-on, my watch, and mera pyara dost, the iPhone!

The anchor, actor, model and TV host rises to the challenge of our raapid-fire re round. round. F Find ind out the last dialled numberr on her phone, her faavourite food and the mostt adventurous thing she has ever done!!

If you could choose one superpower what would it be and why? I wish I could transport myself in three seconds to all the places in the world where nature and wildlife need help! If you could be one animal, which animal would you choose to be? My Yorkshire Terrier! I know how spoiled

and loved she is. What was your least favourite subject in school? Maths. I wrote a poem to the teacher on the examination paper once because I couldn’t really solve much of anything in it and I didn’t care much either. I was a horrid kid. Whose was the last dialled number on your phone? Nomi Ansari. We just got back from the farmers market! What is your favourite thing to do in the gym? Yawn. Make useless conversation with my instructor. Take a break every three minutes and pretend I need water. When was the first time you appeared on TV, and how did you feel? I first appeared on TV back in 2002. I was jittery through and through! Look at me now, so many years later — still jittery through and through. Ha! What was the best birthday you ever celebrated? I had a children-themed birthday party for my 29th birthday. All of us grown ups got into fights to win passing the pillow and musical chairs. It was hilarious! One celebrity that you would like to work with that you haven’t already? I’d love to be in a play with Bushra Ansari. I love her! The last TV series you watched? Game Of Thrones. What fictional character do you remind yourself of? Goofy, Hello Kitty, Charlie Brown, Winnie The Pooh – I’m a mix of them all. If you won a $25,000 lottery, what is the first thing you would do? I’d just jump for joy and dance my way to the bank. What is the most adventurous thing you have done? I went sky diving in Sweden! I jumped from 15,000 feet and went through a cloud in the

process! Scuba diving is fun too. What is the next on your bucket list? To do complete justice as Goodwill Ambassador for the WWF. If you could swap places for a day with anyone else, which one would you choose? A farmer living in the mountains of Bhutan. Who do you have the biggest girl crush on? I’ve never really understood that term much, but I really like Kate Middleton.

SKINCARE With so many skincare products in the market and numerous regimes that can be followed, it’s important to find the one that is suitable for your skin. “Day and night regime is very important. One has to be consistent. Cleansing, toning and moisturising should never be neglected or underestimated. Sunscreen is crucial considering the weather that we face.”

MAKE-UP Choosing the right products for your skin is vital. “Again, due to our hot weather, I suggest you opt for water based products, because creamy products can clog pores and cause pimples, which is never a good thing. So water based products work best.”
