Unforgettable looks of the week!
THE CUT
FASHION
Anushey Hasham Anushey’s minimalistic sense of style gets her major points for this look! Her blue top with scrunched sleeve detailing works great with the plain white pants. P.S. those nude Dior sling backs are right on top of our wishlist!
Bareeha Jafri We love Bareeha’s floral top, teamed with ripped jeans and this fabulous Gucci bag! She keeps her hair straight and her make-up minimal. Keeping her accessories to a minimal, her fringed flats adorned with those gemstones hit all the right style notes. Her look is perfect for a casual summer afternoon!

Minhal Malik Minhal keeps it casual but stylish in her striped and floral kimono style kurta — we’re specially loving the feminine bow detail on those pants! She tops off her look with fun striped flats and a black Bottega bag. We’ve definitely found our casual everyday look!

Sadiqa Awab Sadiqa’s ensemble is such a soothing sight for the eyes! She wears an ice blue top and pants and adds a hint of gold with her matching printed scarf. She keeps it simple but puts it together so well with her navy chevron Chanel bag.
Sehrish Rehan Sehrish’s outfit is proof that monochrome will never go out of fashion! The simple black top paired with white pants give her look that easygoing vibe, and the statement Dolce & Gabbana flats add a pop of colour to the monochrome ensemble. She completes her look with loose curls, simple hoop earrings and the perfect pink pout.

What was the inspiration behind your recent collection? I am always inspired by two things, love and nature. My recent collection which was also featured in the Fashion Pakistan winter festive is named Pukaar. The whole collection is based and inspired by this word. What my pukaar (call) is, ‘let’s give love a chance’. What do you think is your forte as a designer? Fifteen years back, I started off my career from my father’s business that was ‘Hatvilla’, a store where you can get all kind of hats. We used to make turbans and then shifted towards making sherwanis.
31
JULY 9-15 2017
Having been in this business for 15 years and counting, I can say that my forte is making the best sherwanis in Pakistan right now. Which one do you personally enjoy working on, menswear or womenswear? Womenswear! Because I have the expertise in menswear so it’s not very challenging for me anymore. There is always a lot to learn in womenswear. Everyday I’m learning new things since the fashion changes every three months. What can we expect from your next collection? Dhoti shalwars with sherwanis for men and grand lenghas
for women. What according to you has been your biggest achievement so far as a designer? My customer’s satisfaction has always been an achievement for me. What are your future plans for the label? My future plan is to open as many more stores as possible. We’re planning to go nationwide as well as worldwide. Three things no one knows about you? Since I’m a very adventurous person I always keep myself busy with other stuff too. Cycling and camping are one of those.

Switch up your style by putting your hair up in a fun bun! It’s easier to play around with if you have unwashed hair. For this look, use two hair ties – create little bubbles of hair and just tie them together. Use a little bit of wax for grip and some hairspray for hold.
Only a few hairstyles can pass as practical and cute like a bun can. Celebs have taken to the trend and proven that the look is just as perfect for daytime as it is for a red carpet event. You can make the half bun work for any occasion and with any hair type or length. It’s not too fussy – just tie some of your hair in a bun and leave some strands out for the full effect.
Wet hair has made a few appearances on the runways this season. Drenched ends were all the rage at Altuzarra and slicked-back hair at Balmain. Unlike other trendy styles, the wet hair look is amenable to any hair texture. Start by using raking wax-which is slightly thicker than a gel and not water-basedthrough the roots and on the hair that frames your face to shape and volumize. Use gel on the ends which will stiffen as it dries and prevent fly-aways.
Want a style that can go from day to night and is actually doable? Go for the sleek ponytail! Begin by blow-drying your hair, run some dry oil through it, pull it up to the centre of your head, and then brush through the top layer until smooth. Tie back into a slick ponytail, and give the look some edge by messing up the tail. You can also use some salt water cream in the tail to get a bit of a grip.
