We bring you our top picks from the runway of Sana Safinaz’s solo show ‘Message from the East’ at Fashion Pakistan Week’ SS19. The designer duo displayed an array of modern cuts, colours and styling. For one to truly comprehend the collection, it’s important to take into account the inspiration behind it: Allama Iqbal’s Payaam-i-Mashriq. The poetry was written with the intention of “warming the cold thoughts and ideas of the West.” This explains that the offerings were all about reinvention and taking this into consideration, the showcase was spot on. 211

Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan songs restored on T-Series Indian record label T-Series had previously taken down all songs by Pakistani artists, including Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, from their Youtube channel. However, in a recent turn of events, the label has restored both singers’ tracks. Just a few days before the Pulwama attack, the Jal Pari singer had announced on Twitter that his latest song titled Baarishein would release under the Indian banner. However, it was removed shortly after it came out. The same occurred with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s song Zindagi. Nonetheless, you can now find both on T-Series’ Youtube channel.
I don’t see men who have been awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz being questioned: Mehwish Hayat Mehwish Hayat’s Tamgha-e-Imtiaz nomination has created quite the storm. Speaking about the backlash Mehwish shared that every person is entitled to their own opinion however making personal slurs and lewd insinuations, is crossing the line. “Why is it that the moment a woman, especially from our industry, wins something or is recognised for her achievements is overlooked and doubts are cast on her character? I don’t see the men who have been awarded being questioned in the same way?” she added.
Aamir Liaquat calls out Mehwish Hayat for defaming him in ‘Load Wedding’ After Mehwish Hayat demanded a local publication take down a “vilifying” article about her via Twitter, Aamir Liaquat took the opportunity to take a dig at Hayat. Liaquat replied to her tweet stating “should I not sue your movie Load Wedding where your entire movie revolves around me, defaming and wrongly portraying my character without my consent? As an artist you did not only work in such a movie but you failed to stop the nonsense in it. Shameful!”

Wendy Williams urges Hailey Baldwin to divorce Justin Bieber Justin Bieber opening up about his mental condition in an Instagram post triggered American TV talk show host Wendy Williams to suggest that Bieber and Hailey Baldwin spilt. Speaking of this, Wendy stated that 22-year-old Hailey is too young to be dealing with being Justin’s wife during this time. Instead of standing by his side, the host believes Hailey should leave Justin ‘out of love and care’, in the hope of giving them a better marriage in the future. “Is he going to be an adequate father? What kind of father and husband is he going to be? It’s all too much for a 22-year-old. They can quickly get divorced” she added.
