Summer Wardrobe to a Your

Fall Wardrobe

The easiest way to have your seasonal wardrobe sorted without breaking your bank is to not ditch your current wardrobe altogether. Try finding new ways to style and wear them depending on the season.

Here are some of the simplest ways to stretch your wardrobe and make all your old favorites work until winter.

Add tights/leggings Pair your summer shorts, skirts and dresses with legging or tights of your own choice. It’s a good way to add colour and texture to make your look more fall appropriate. A pair of textured tights worn with your favourite khaki skirt and boots is about as autumnal as a pumpkin patch.

If you’re not into tights then leggings is a great option. Some give the look of pants but have tons of stretch. They’re perfect to wear under your summery tunics for more coverage, while still staying fashionforward.

Layer Up Layered looks not only look chic but are also appropriate for cold seasons. Layered looks aren’t only when you layer up your summer wardrobe essentials which you’re carrying into the cold season, you are able to try new looks. You can pair your full sleeve button down shirts with a sleeveless sweater. For colder days, throw on a blazer. But how do you know which looks to layer? While we enjoy rocking floral prints, bright popping colours especially in summers, it’s best to try and add some deep colours to make your wardrobe more fall appropriate. You can add a couple of pieces to extend the life of your lighter summer clothes. For example you can pair your lavender summer blouse with a plum cardigan and a sleek pair of boots. If you add some heavier textures and jewel tones, you’ll be able to keep wearing it.

Ignore the Rules Don’t break your bank trying to follow all the supposed rules for winter wardrobe. Don’t spend too much time thinking about whether or not an outfit is fall-appropriate, but that it’s weatherappropriate and makes you feel great, regardless of the rules.
