No to less distractions When you wake up you’re totally unplugged from the world for the first few minutes or hours. You haven’t started your day and turned your attention to your to-do list. For an hour or two, having no work, social or digital distraction means you can focus on your workout. Banish food cravings It might sound counter-intuitive, but a morning workout reduces appetite. A study by Brigham Young University found those who worked out in the morning for 45 minutes, their emotional response to pictures of food wasn’t strong. Not only were they less tempted by the food, but they didn’t feel hungry for the extra calories they burned while exercising. Better productivity Exercise is a good way to release stress and fatigue. When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce your perception of pain. Endorphins also trigger a positive feeling in the body leaving a person happy and in a better state of mind post work out. Burns fat Fasted cardio, commonly known as exercising on an empty stomach isn’t something for everyone. However, if weight loss is your goal, it might help you supercharge your fat burning potential. According to British Journal of Nutrition, working out before breakfast was shown to burn up to 20 per cent more fat compared to working out in the afternoon or evening. Better quality sleep Working out in the evening is likely to tire you out before bed and it also boosts your heart rate and core temperature but a morning workout can help you get a better night’s sleep. How would you describe your personal style? I would say I’m quite versatile when it come to my personal style, but I like to keep it simple yet chic. I believe less is more. How has your style changed over the years? My style has definitely changed over the years, as a teenager my mom would decide for me but as the years passed my style kept evolving according to the trends. Now it is more of what I feel good in. What do you carry effortlessly eastern or western wear? Actually both, from wearing our traditional shalwar kameez to any western outfit. I love dressing up. How do you dress your body according to your body type? Since I’m tall and thin I just love experimenting with different styles and cuts. My all time favourite is sleek pants with a nice top and a nice pair of shoes. In your opinion what is the biggest mistake a person can make while dressing here? I’m quite observant when it comes to clothess e and I see many girls making a similar mistake of wearing outfits that do not compliment their body type or age. Which silhouettes suit your body the most? In order to create a flattering silhouette I like monochrome the best. One can never go wrong with that. What is the one piece of clothing that you shy away from wearing and why? From wearing our traditional outfits to all western wear I’ve never been unconditional but yes ruffles and frills are my least favourite. What’s the basic mistake girls make while choosing a silhouette for themselves? As a designer the most common problem I see with most girls is that trends are being followed blindly.
