Radiologic Science

Alumni, Welcome from the College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences. The faculty, staff, and students are excited to start the upcoming academic year. As the college celebrates its 10-year anniversary, the faculty are busy developing new academic programs and clinical training opportunities. A new undergraduate academic degree in rehabilitative science that will provide an introduction into the professions involved in rehabilitative health care is being submitted for review this fall. Additionally, a new academic minor is being proposed in American Sign Language. Both of these programs will provide students with the opportunity to study creative and innovative curricula to advance their professional careers. This year some of our existing programs will experience milestones in their history, the cardiopulmonary science (respiratory therapy) and radiologic sciences programs will celebrate their 40-year anniversary! The Department of Physical Therapy will be undergoing a major building renovation during this academic year. New state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories will be designed to provide the students the best learning environment available for their training to become physical therapists. The College has successfully implemented new clinical training opportunities in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and concussion management. We are in the process of opening a new audiology clinic at the Nave Center in Elizabethton and a telemedicine practice within the next academic year. We want you to stay connected to the college. Follow the college throughout the year on Facebook (etsuccrhs) and Instagram (etsu_ccrhs) to keep abreast of student and faculty activities! The students and faculty are accomplishing great things and making a difference in the quality of health care in our region. I hope we have the opportunity to see you at one of our many events during the upcoming year. Best wishes and Go Bucs! Highest Regards,

Cardiopulmonary Science
