Hannah Jenkins’ weight loss transformation story was published this year on MSN and in People Magazine. She transformed her life through healthy eating and regular exercise. Way to go, Hannah! Graduate Students and Local ALS Chapter Involvement In October, several graduate students presented at our local ALS chapter’s monthly meeting in Kingsport, TN. All grad students participated in our local ALS chapter’s “Walk to Defeat ALS” in Bristol, TN. The Walk to Defeat ALS is The ALS Association’s biggest annual event, which raises funds that allow our local chapters to sustain care services and support research for much of the next year. National Nutrition Month During National Nutrition Month, nutrition students hosted booths at various local Food City stores to answer questions about nutrition and offer recipe tastings. Graduate nutrition students hosted “Put Your Best Fork Forward,” which consisted of cooking demonstrations and discussions about healthy eating and quick, healthy and budget friendly recipes.
