Five stars for ESS
School orchestra At Eumundi State School’s (ESS) open morning on 26 May, Acting Principal Anthony Swan announced that the Department of Education’s reviewers have given the school ‘top marks’, stating Eumundi is an exceptional school, five stars. Over three days the Education Improvement Branch team which included other school principals interviewed 122 staff, students, parents and community members to assess “the school’s
Yr 5 Performing Arts group strategic plans, operational procedures, teaching strategies, case managements and support”. The aim was to recommend improvements for the next four years, however the reviewers reported this was extremely difficult as ESS students are the “most well-mannered, respectful, and kind students they could possibly hope to find”.
