The beautiful Noosa Botanic Gardens at Lake Macdonald are a 5min drive out of Cooroy. The 8ha gardens on the shore of the lake contain a range of native and exotic plant species. Paths wind through the gardens, leading to hidden spots perfect for picnicking or watching the wildlife. On the first Sunday of each month the gardens host live music 10am-12.30pm for all the family to enjoy, including your furry fourlegged friends – dogs are welcome on leash.

We are lucky to have a number of impressive lookouts in our area. The closest to Eumundi is Ball Lookout on Eumundi Range Rd. The view is across to Eerwah Vale and beyond and is a great spot to watch the sunset.
At the end of Panorama Dr in Doonan is another spectacular lookout, boasting views from the sea to the hinterland. It's a great spot for visitors to orientate themselves.
Point Glorious, Belli Park offers a breathtakingly huge vista, but a four-wheel-drive vehicle is recommended to get there. The lookout offers picnic tables and a toilet, so a great place to enjoy a spot of lunch whilst enjoying the views back towards Eumundi.
Dunethin

Dunethin Jetty is situated on the quiet Dunethin Lake off Maroochy River. It's an incredibly tranquil spot surrounded by nature. A flat track takes you from the road to the jetty, so it's easily accessible for all. If you're looking for somewhere to just stop and enjoy the beauty of the region whilst listening to bird song and the occasional splash from a fish jumping out of the water, then this is the place.
Dunethin Rock is just around the corner and offers views over the Maroochy River and farmland.
Amazeworld
Located in Tanawha, Amazeworld is a great place to take the family. Voted Business of the Year in the 2023 Sunshine Coast Business Awards, Amazeworld is a fantastic day out. The impressive hedge maze hides dragons, fairies, trolls and unicorns thanks to an Augmented Reality experience. There is also a playground, mini golf, puzzles and so much more. This day out should guarantee parents a quiet night as the kids will be exhausted.
