2nd Youth Summit of EYP Cyprus Terms and Conditions for participation The 2nd Youth Summit is an official event of EYP Cyprus. It targets young Cypriots aged eighteen to twenty-three who have not had the opportunity to participate at EYP Cyprus events with their schools. This unique session aims to give young adults a first EYP experience and to integrate them into the network of EYP Cyprus as alumni. Delegates wishing to be selected to participate at the Youth Summit event of the European Youth Parliament (EYP) Cyprus must fulfill ALL the criteria listed below: - Applicants must have Cypriot Nationality or be permanent residents of Cyprus. Applicants can only be considered if they have a Republic of Cyprus Identity card and/ or passport and proof of permanent residency in Cyprus1. - Applicants must be advanced English speakers as English is the working language of EYP Cyprus events. - There will not be any academic assessments when evaluating applicants, rather applicants will be selected based upon their applications to the event with the discretion of a panel made up of experienced EYP Cyprus alumni and committee members. - Students selected to participate must be between 18 to 23 years of age at the time of the Summit in July.
The terms and conditions of participation for applicants wishing to participate in the 2nd Youth Summit of EYP Cyprus have been set by the EYP Cyprus National Committee and MUST be adhered to by all delegates.
Permanent Residency is understood as: ‘Citizens from other EU or non-EU countries who have been residents in Cyprus for at least five uninterrupted years and hold a Permanent Registration Certificate or Long-Term Residence Permit respectively.’ 1
