Activities Description Foyer La Baraudelle is a lodging and day care Center for disabled adults. The Centre is located in Ardennes a rural area between Reims and the Belgian border.

The volunteer will take part in leisure activities such handicrafts, computer workshops, cooking workshops, outings, games… He will also have the possibility to take part in activities in the educative farm of the Centre. Indeed, the Centre manages its own little farm with a horse, rabbits and production of vegetables. The volunteers will live in a house between the Centre and the farm. The house is fully furnished and the volunteers will have their own room. They will share it with a third volunteer doing EVS with the town of Attigny. Profile of the volunteer Some human qualities as sense of listening, patience and skills to communicate are needed and will be developed. The volunteers have to like to help other people, be ready to overcome some gestures of the everyday life. A minimum of initiative sense will also be required. An essential skill will be basic knowledge in French and, most of all, that he shows the willing to express himself in French during his EVS. It is also needed that he likes to live in a small town, in a rural environment.

Activities Description The Specialized House Marc Toussaint is a lodging and day care center for disabled adults. The handicaps can be various and severe. Training for the 10 km running race of Reims Candidates have to know it is usually a bit shocking at the beginning but after a short time, the experience is very enriching by learning how to communicate with them. The volunteer will take part in leisure activities such handicrafts, computer workshops, snoezelen, outings, games… He/She will work with another EVS and two activity leaders. The volunteer will get his own flat and will have a part of the food in the restaurant of the organization and will receive money for the other part.

EVS Vacancy CRIJ Champagne-Ardenne Place: Reims (France) Dates: September 2015 – August 2016 Number of vacancy: 1
Activities Description CRIJ is the Regional youth information Center of Champagne-Ardenne. Young people can get information at the office for their studies, accommodation, leisure… It develops also different activities about Europe and mobility program.
Opening of European Ambassadors Campaign
The volunteer will take part in 4 types of activities: 1. making videos to provide useful information to young people on the website of youth information of Champagne-Ardenne www.jeunes-ca.fr 2. Support of youngsters wishing to do an EVS with the EVS coordinator (language support, peer to peer support for finding host organization, valorization of the volunteers’ projects on the website http://sve.jeunes-ca.fr/ …). 3. Taking part in information events about Europe and European citizenship (in schools like European Ambassadors or on public place). 4. Working on some social project with students in the neighborhood where the accommodation of the volunteer is located.
Profile of the volunteer The volunteer must be interested in communication and youth information. He must be easy with video making, media creation or has to show the willingness to learn it. We look for outgoing and creative volunteer. Some basic level of French will be appreciated.
