Demand for facials is changing, what makes BIOTEC 2.0 unique?

BIOTEC 2.0 packs even more of a punch than before, with six clinically proven technologies in one machine. This innovative equipment now includes our new CryO2 sub-zero cold therapy for an amazing skin-sculpting experience; our 7-in-1 LED light mask, which also features infrared and is known for its skin health and wellbeing benefits; and our new, supercharged ultrasonic for amazing skin resurfacing.

Together, these technologies ensure skin will be visibly smoother, more sculpted and firmer with a spotlight on deep-set wrinkles for maximum, multi-faceted facial rejuvenation and skin hydration after just one treatment.

How does BIOTEC technology give spas a competitive advantage?

Our enhanced BIOTEC 2.0 technology is right at the heart of our new Pro-Glow facial menu. We know already from BIOTEC 1.0 that our spas have the opportunity to command a higher treatment price, deliver a much higher ATV post-treatment and increase retention.

The addition of CryO2 and the 7-in-1 LED mask, provides a further competitive edge in spas for those guests looking for more of an aesthetic treatment that delivers immediate results without the inconvenience of any downtime.

What revenue potential does BIOTEC 2.0 bring to spas?

Over one year, businesses can generate incremental revenue of more than four times their investment from a single machine. We have also built a 360-degree B2C campaign focusing on treatments, which will launch in the New Year.

This investment in online and social media adds a competitive edge that will drive footfall into spas and increase awareness and conversion to facial bookings. In this ‘digital-first’ age, we also chose our facial names very carefully to ensure they were SEO-friendly, helping our spas increase reach and attract a new client base.

Tell us more about how you have reimagined the Pro-Glow Facial Menu?

Every Pro-Glow facial features three key steps: our Pro-cleansing treatment, followed by bespoke skin resurfacing and skin wellness touch. Combined, they deliver powerful deep-cleansing, resurfacing and hydration-boosting results for optimal skin wellness.

Guests then have the option to select from five targeted facials designed to suit the needs of their skin. There truly is something for everyone.

Listening to our spa partners, we wanted to create a more streamlined menu that delivers greater results in a shorter period of time, so we focused on the benefits of each treatment to offer a curated, targeted menu with not too many choices.

Advanced technology, extraordinary results: Developed to work in perfect synergy with the skin’s natural bio-electric field, Elemis BIOTEC 2.0 delivers uniquely customisable, clinically proven facials for every skin type, powered by mutiple treatment technologies.

How much training will spa teams need to deliver BIOTEC 2.0 treatments?

As an operator we understand the cost of time out of the business for training, so we wanted to keep it to a minimum. Any account already delivering our 1.0 facials just needs a four-hour virtual workshop, making it more accessible and cost-effective.

What treatment menu advice would you give spas to stay ahead?

Introducing bespoke treatments based on your customers’ needs will increase both loyalty and trust in the expertise of your therapists, and in turn increase frequency of visit and spend. Customers are looking to feel special and have their concerns heard, so a bespoke menu allows them to do just that.
