Purpose  

To introduce the Federation of Gay Games. To propose the establishment of short and long-term sponsorship relationships. To better connect sponsors with local LGBT sports & cultural participants, in North America and globally.

The Federation of Gay Games 

Organizes the Gay Games® Sports and Cultural Festival every 4 years for 30 years

Functions as a governing body similar to the International Olympic Committee* (IOC), licensing the Gay Games® name, and the Federation of Gay Games (FGG) logos and principles

Maintains the principles of Participation, Inclusion and Personal Best™

Represents more than 40,000 LGBT artists & athletes

Ensures that all activities are inclusive in nature and no individual is excluded from participating

Provides scholarships for athletes to participate in the global competitions

Supported by world-renowned athletes who serve as FGG Ambassadors

The Gay Games® Global Participation 

The largest international athletic and cultural event in the world, with more than 10,000 participants and nearly 250,000 spectators every 4 years since 1982  Hosted in San Francisco 1982 & 1986; Vancouver 1990; New York 1994; Amsterdam 1998; Sydney 2002; Chicago, 2006, Cologne in 2010, and Cleveland + Akron in 2014  Founded by Dr. Tom Waddell, Olympic Decathlon athlete, member of U.S. team at 1968 Mexico City Olympics

World Class Events 

Creates inclusive sporting events where world and national Masters records are achieved  Eight-day global village of sports and culture  Includes more participants than the Olympics
