Motivation

• Wellness trend has positive effects on the (social) appreciation of sport. • International sport events have a great economical impact on regional economy and improve the image of a destination. • More and more cities and regions try to participate in the sector and offer excellent training and competition facilities (> 500 host cities). • Competition between sport tourism destinations grows.  New strategies  New and additional target groups and market segments
