LONDON London is home to the HQ of the majority of the UK’s top television companies, all of the UK’s national newspapers are edited here and it is also the centre of the British Film Industry. There are many ways to inspire your budding TV and film makers on a visit to London.
POPULAR ITINERARY Day 1: Arrive in the City of Angels and sunshine on America’s West Coast. Hit the iconic Venice Beach and Sunset Strip! Day 2: It’s lights, camera action as you spend the day at Universal Studios enjoying rides, shows and a real movie studio. Day 3: Go behind the scenes on a Warner Bros Studio Tour to get a rare glimpse of Hollywood at work, through back lots, sound stages, and the sets of a hit television show. Day 4: On a Guided Tour of Hollywood, see the stars on the Walk of Fame, the famous sign and the Chinese Theatre before you walk the red carpet on a Dolby Theatre Tour. Day 5: Indulge in some retail therapy on Santa Monica Boulevard, before you head to the airport with a head full of memories and dreams! Day 6: Early morning arrival in the UK, tired and inspired!

Take part in a masterclass at the London Film Academy in all aspects of film making from production, cinematography, documentary, make-up and many more. NEW YORK New York has been the co-star in so many memorable film and TV moments. What better place to inspire your film and media students than by exploring the sets and famous locations of this most recognisable of world cities.
POPULAR ITINERARY Day 1: Arrive in the Big Apple! Drop off your bags and head back up into the sky for some 360º views from the Empire State Building. Day 2: Begin your day with a TV and Movie Sites Tour, for a lighthearted look at the New York venues made familiar on screen. Learn by doing at a New York Film Academy Workshop on all aspects of film making. Shop in Times Square, before enjoying a hit Broadway show. Day 3: Learn about the history, technique, and technology of film with a tour, screening, or a workshop at the Museum of Moving Image. Follow this with a visit to the 9/11 Memorial or ferry to Staten Island for some impressive panoramas of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Day 4: Tour the famous NBC Studios and enter the world of TV production, learning about everything from make-up to the green screen. Enjoy some free time and last minute shopping before you make your way to the airport.
BERLIN Berlin, with its filmatic history stretching from “Nosferatu” and Fritz Lang’s “Metropolis” to current Hollywood big budget films such as “V for Vendetta,”and Tom Cruise’s “Valkyrie,” provides the perfect location for a Film and Media Studies tour.
POPULAR ITINERARY Day 1: Fly into the dynamic city of Berlin and get your bearings on a guided walking tour finishing at the Reichstag Dome for some great evening views. Day 2: Get generous access to film sets and studios to watch current soap opera or TV films being recorded as you tour Babelsberg Film Studios. Learn more about the history of Babelsberg Studios and cinema and film at the Potsdam Museum of Film. Day 3: Go for a behind-the-scenes tour of RRB TV and Radio Studios for an insight into its past as well as an overview of the station’s use today with the possibility of seeing a show being recorded.
