THE Summer of Music series has arrived at the Town Hall Square in Alicante and is on until Tuesday, August 15, with 21 concerts covering more than a dozen musical genres.

Among the genres included are folk, classical, band, swing, tango and indie.

The councillor for Culture, Nayma Bedljilali, confirmed: “This is an ambitious commitment to ensure that audiences of all ages have an unmissable date with music during these two summer months.

“In view of the success of this series in previous years, a large audience attendance seems to be guaranteed.”

Admission to the venue will be free, although it will be necessary to get an invitation from the website: webalicantemusica.eventbr ite.es

Concert times vary. Those of the Municipal Symphonic Band in July are at 8.00pm and in August at 7.00pm. The rest of the performances are at 9.00pm except for those on July 15 and August 12 which are scheduled for 10.00pm.
