The Student (newspaper and web site) The Student (www.studentnewspaper.org) is the independent tabloid newspaper on campus. The 24 page paper covers a wide range of news with a range of features and what’s on in Edinburgh. 8000 copies are distributed weekly to over 40 locations on campus and in retail outlets throughout the city. Readership is approximately 20,000. Flyers, Posters and Plasma Screens Flyers and posters remain the most influential advertising medium amongst students and we have officially endorsed rates to be on campus. We can distribute 5000 flyers hand to hand for you and/or distribute 40 x A3 size posters with our official stamp. We also offer plasma screens in our Potterrow union which offer approximately 6 minutes exposure per hour. 1000 flyers (5000 in total) £200 per 1000 (hand to hand distribution) 40 x A3 posters £200 Plasma screens (w-856px x h-480px) £150 p/wk (Artwork should be supplied as a jpeg file, 72 dpi with 5mm safe area on all edges.)
Promotions/Stalls As part of the marketing mix it is important not only to advertise but have the opportunity to speak directly to our students. To do that you can give information or sell your product direct to students on campus. We have spaces in Bristo Square, Potterrow, Teviot and King’s Buildings House for only £500 a day. Stall
