ASSOCIATE DEGREES
EvCC offers associate degrees in both university transfer and technical and career areas. Preparation for a major at a university can be accomplished through careful selection of courses that meet the requirements of our degrees. Information about preparing for majors in a wide variety of areas is available in our curriculum guides. See also the information on transferring at the end of this section.
AssociateinArtsandSciences(AAS) –
DTA is awarded for completion of a program of study designed primarily for transfer to a four-year college or university. The AAS - DTA degree meets statewide general transfer guidelines, often referred to as the direct transfer degree, or DTA. AAS-OptionI degree is awarded for pre-approved programs leading to professional careers or selected university majors, for example, Music. AssociateinBusiness(DTA)degree is structured to enable a student to prepare for a university major in business administration or accounting.
AssociateofScience-Transfer(AS-T)
degreeis designed for students majoring in sciences, computer science and engineering who wish to transfer to a Washington college or university. Students preparing to transfer to a university for a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering may follow one of three major-ready pathways:
