Kanye West addressed his “slavery” comments on his new album YE released last month. While debuting his new seven-track album for close friends and a handful of journalists on a ranch in Wyoming, the 40-year-old rapper shared some lyrics addressing the backlash he received after calling slavery a “choice” during an appearance on TMZ. On one of the tracks, Kanye reveals how wife Kim Kardashian reacted to his comments – and it sounds like she was not happy. “Wife calling screaming saying we’re about to lose it all I had to calm her down ‘cos she couldn’t breathe, I told her she could leave me now but she wouldn’t leave,” Kanye raps. “This is what they mean for better or for worse huh?” Never a dull moment with Kanye, that’s for sure!

Hit US Comedy show, Roseanne, has been cancelled following the sitcom’s main star, Roseanne Barr’s going on a vile twitter rant where she compared Barack Obama’s former aide Valerie Jarrett to an ape. Replying to one of the senior advisor’s tweets, Roseanne wrote: “Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had apres =vj”. Shortly after her comments, her TV show Roseanne, which had just returned for a reboot, was pulled off air, with ABC claiming they couldn’t tolerate her “abhorrent” comments. With the damage done and the expected social media backlash that followed, Roseanne went on the defensive and apologised both to Valerie Jarrett and the American people. “I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. “I should have known better. Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste.” It sure was Roseanne!

Sweetener Ariana’s back

Pop Princess, Ariana Grande has opened up in a big way about her upcoming album Sweetener. The 24-year old revealed that she used last year’s horrific bombing in Manchester, and the incredible acts of humanity afterwards, as her inspiration for her new songs. It is her first album since a suicide bomber killed 22 people and injured hundreds more moments after she performed at the Manchester Arena last May. The No Tears Left To Cry singer admits she has been trying to put her heartache into her music following the atrocity, but says it’s ‘still so hard to find the words’ to describe how she’s felt in the year since the attack. She added: ‘I guess I thought with time, and therapy, and writing, and pouring my heart out, and talking to my friends and family that it would be easier to talk about, but it’s still so hard to find the words.’ Sweetener is due out July 20th. Bitter, Sweet might have been a more apt title!

Supermodel, Bella Hadid hit back last month at claims she has had surgery and fillers, urging haters to ‘scan’ her face for themselves. The 21-year-old has been the subject of rumours she has had a nose job and other physical enhancements since the start of her modelling career in 2013. However she told InStyle that she was too ‘scared’ of fillers as she didn’t want to ‘mess up’ her genetically blessed features. ‘People think I got all this surgery or did this or that. And you know what? We can do a scan of my face, darling,’ she said. You tell them girl!

Top Gun 2 filming starts The long awaited sequel to the 1986 original has begun! Filming of Top Gun 2 is under way – and lead star Tom Cruise took to Twitter last month to share a photo from the set of the air force action flick. The 55-year-old American star revealed that filming had begun on May 30 – over a year before the film is due to hit screens. With his back to the camera, and facing a jet, Tom’s iconic character, Lieutenant Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell, looks ready to take to the cockpit. Simply captioning the tweet with the hashtag: “Day 1”, the photo shared by the star to his 6.8million followers also included the iconic quote: “Feel the need.” The simple update was enough to send fans of the film - which came out in 1986 - into a wild spiral of excitement. It has been reported that Britney Spears ex Kevin Federline is asking for $60,000 a month in child support.The hefty figure is three times as much as the 40-year-old’s current $20,000. According to TMZ, Kevin filed documents asking a judge to up his payments, claiming the pair’s two sons, 12-year-old Sean Preston and 11-yearold Jayden, enjoy a charmed lifestyle when they’re with their mum that he can’t match. He reportedly claims the boys enjoy five-star holidays, have a lighted tennis court and pretty much have every toy they want because Britney earns $34 million a year while he earns $3,000 a month.He claims his expenses total around $23,000 a month. Paris Jackson stormed out of a high fashion catwalk show last month over her disgust of the involvement of live animals to promote new clothes. According to sources, the 19-year-old actress, model and daughter of late music legend Michael Jackson was repulsed when French fashion house Dior employed horses in their Haut Couture show. A host of A List stars gathered at the Musee vivant du Cheval in Chantilly, France, to see what fashion delights the luxury label had to offer for the 2019 season. However, Paris was left aghast when a number of models appeared in the show on horseback and stormed from the opulent show. Multiple reports emerged detailing the proceedings and many noted that Paris left the show as a Mexican rodeo was involved. High end fashion bible, Harper’s Bazaar, wrote: “Not everyone was a fan of the horses though, as Paris Jackson was spotted leaving the show only minutes in, presumably out of concern for animal welfare.” Way to go girl!

Tennis legend, Boris Becker has confirmed he has split with wife of nine years Lilly. The pair were together for a total of 13 years and share eight-yearold son Amadeus. Canadian rapper, Drake has just gone and escalated his feud with Kanye West and Pusha -T. The 31-year-old released a track last month titled Duppy Freestyle in response to PushaT’s West-produced album Daytona. In Duppy Freestyle, Drake alleges he has helped West write songs in the past, rapping, “So if you rebuke me for working with someone else on a couple of Vs, what do you really think of the n**** that’s making your beats? “I’ve done things for him I thought that he never would need, father had to stretch his hands out and get it from me, I pop style for 30 hours, then let him repeat”. The verse appears to reference three West songs - Father Stretch My Hands, 30 Hours and the pair’s collaboration, Pop Style. Drake then switched his attention to Pusha-T. He raps: “There’s no malice in your heart, you’re an approachable dude, man, you might’ve sold the college kids for Nikes and Mercedes, but you act like you sold drugs for Escobar in the 80s”. At the end of the song, Drake tells West he is invoicing him for 20,000 copies of Daytona, apparently a claim that Duppy Freestyle will publicise the album. Pusha-T quickly responded on Twitter. He wrote: “Send the invoice for the extra 20...” Looks like this feud is set to run and run!

After her daughter Kylie Jenner and estranged stepdaughters Khloe and Kim Kardashian welcomed babies within months of each other, Caitlyn is said to have told pals that she’s ready to be a parent again. Caitlyn is rumoured to be engaged to much-younger model Sophia Hutchins, 21, who is “keen to become a mum”. Following the film’s critical acclaim, Kidder reprised her leading lady role for its three sequels. Following news of Margot’s death, fans have taken to Twitter to pay their respects to the film icon. One admirer tweeted: “Margot, thanks for all of your fantastic performances. RIP. Russia 2018 kicks off on June 14 with the hosts against Saudi Arabia and for the following weeks it will be impossible to avoid the competition. It doesn’t matter if you have satellite or Spanish TV, the channels will devote hours of coverage to each teams’ chances, the expectations, the games themselves, a host of expert opinion and the after match autopsies of what went right or wrong. And you can forget nipping out for the evening to get away from the World Cup. One of the major factors behind the number of people spending more and more time in Marbella is the cosmopolitan nature of the town. This is, however, a double edged sword. The quality of your dining experience will suffer for example. During the World Cup forget tapas

when Spain take to the pitch and don’t even try to order escargots if France get beaten. On the plus side if you are a football fan a place like Marbella is magical during the World Cup, because someone always has a game and it’s always great to watch someone else going through agonies if your national team aren’t involved. Presented to an adoring Bernabeu crowd in an extravagant ceremony broadcast on live TV, Ronaldo modestly claimed that La Liga was the best league in the world “Now that I’m in it”. After a turbulent period that included Portugal failing to get out of the group stages in the World Cup in 2010 and Real Madrid playing second best to Barcelona, Ronaldo’s career has been on a constant upwards curve ever since. Titles with Real Madrid, as well as guiding the national Portugal side to victory in the Euros against the host nation France in Paris, means that the World Cup is the only significant trophy that Ronaldo has yet to win. At 33, surely this is the superstar’s last World Cup and, with Portugal drawn in a group that includes Morocco, Iran and (and we are looking forward to this match!) Spain, Ronaldo should be able to get his team out of the group out of sheer willpower alone, and then how far Portugal can go is in the lap of the Football Gods. Team Hot arrives at Mahiki on a beautiful balmy May afternoon and, as we descend the steps to the Tiki-style beach restaurant, we are immediately hit by the sheer beauty of the view. The bright blue sea lines the horizon and the sunlight falls in pretty, dappled patterns through the bamboo thatching. Palm trees, tropical plants and a veritable oasis of greenery provide a beautiful shield from the hub and hullaballoo of nearby beach clubs down the stretch, and the atmosphere inside is deliciously enticing. Mahiki Beach is situated on the famous beach boulevard of Marbella, Mahiki offers a different beach club experience with its tropical restaurant, original cocktails and luxurious beach beds – all designed in a Tiki inspired theme.

Glass lanterns hang from ropes overhead and a varnished wooden decking stretches out to tables and wicker armchairs adorned with colourful, tropical print cushions, and wine glasses sparkle in the sunshine. We are greeted by a friendly waitress who shows us to a large table by the beach and we plump for a selection of fruity cocktails to get us in the tropical mood. She returns with a tray of colourful concoctions and I opt for one that is served in a coconut — it tastes like summer!

A warm breeze flows through the dining area and as I sip my coconut and listen to the tinker of wine glasses and gentle chillout tunes, it’s hard to believe I’m in Marbella and not a Caribbean island or some tropical paradise. The menu is a veritable feast of tantalising dishes; fresh seafood, international classics and a variety of funky fusion dishes with a Polynesian twist. One member of our team is on a health kick, one is a pescatarian and the other is a fitness fiend, so we opt for a meat-free meal and ask the staff to bring us a selection of their favourite fish and seafood dishes — and my,

what a selection it is! For starters, we are presented with a dish of Salt and Pepper Squid with Aioli, Blackened Shrimp on a bed of Avocado and Cucumber, Tempura Prawns with Soy and Ginger and Sweet Chilli and my favourite dish of the afternoon: a Prawn and Seabass Ceviche served with sweet mango inside rolls of thinly sliced Avocado — it’s fresh, tangy and the perfect dish for a light afternoon lunch by the sea. For our main courses we are treated to a taste of Andalusia with a delicious Seafood Paella, a pair of pasta dishes; one with a hit of spice: a Prawn, Tomato and Chilli Spaghetti, and one with fresh lobster which is creamy and decadent. We also tuck into a tasty Grilled Calamari and a Smoked Salmon Parcel with Horseradish Cream. The staff are friendly and attentive, checking on us regularly as we while the hours away, sampling each dish with glee and enjoying a thoroughly laid-back afternoon in this pretty paradise. Around us, tables are filled with a cosmopolitan mix of locals, expats and holidaymakers, and down on the beach beds, couples are settling down for a siesta and bronzed babes are topping up their tans with cocktails in hand. Much like being on a tropical island, it’s very easy to lose track of time at Mahiki, as life slows down and there’s no pomp, no pretence, just a gorgeously stylish spot to unwind in style. The food is sensational, the staff faultless, and if you’re after a spot for lunching and lounging in laid-back luxury - look no further, Mahiki Beach has it all.

had a great Sunday at Tamisa Golf hotel in Mijas, which was a charity event for Cudeca. It was so good, the Jersey boys were incredible and then the kids Jersey boys came on the finish the show. They were from Banana Studios in Benalmadena, and so cute because their jackets were bigger than them. After that was a fashion show by Mapuchi Moda, really great clothes and they were selling them after, so went shopping and came home in a different outfit than I went out in – as you do! The Royal Wedding happened and what a great day that was! We showed it in Portside and decorated the bar in full Union Jack bunting. It was such an emotional wedding with lots of people with tears in their eyes as everybody loves Harry and there was a full standing ovation for God Save the Queen. It made me very proud to be British. I don’t think anybody does pomp and ceremony better than the Brits. I have had friends over which 100

Wow! I probably say this every year – but where do all these people come from? I forget how busy Puerto Banus becomes, just a massive influx of people all having the time of their lives.

is all well and good but a killer at this this time of year when all they want to do is party. It’s so exhausting, although I have had a couple of really great nights out in the Port. Babilonia is absolutely kicking and they we did the complete rounds, Bijou terrace for a quick shisha although I would still rather have a cigarette, then on to my favourite Portside, a little boogie in Linekers and ending in TIBU! And then dying for three days after!!! I still go to Levante beach to have a chill out and I have to say the service still hasn’t improved. In fact it has got worse but not the staff´s fault, they have closed the bar on the beach so the poor staff now have to serve from the restaurant but it must be horrendous to keep having to walk up and down the beach in the heat and sand. I also had a birthday party at Sonora beach, which is a fabulous beach bar but a God forsaken place to find if you miss the turn off which I did – several

times! Once there, however, it is so chilled, but the weather is still cold in the evening, so had to go inside very early but they had a great DJ on and I think we might have been the last to leave. Then it was the Bank Holiday weekend Champions League Final. I wish UEFA would sort out the date for this, as its busy enough without the football to deal with as well! As usual, however, we got it all sorted – we didn’t have a seat left anywhere. I think everyone become an adopted Scouser for the night, it was like a World Cup game. On that note the World Cup kicks off very soon and although it is a brilliant atmosphere the amount of people that come to Linekers and Portside to watch it is phenomenal, so if anyone would like seating for any of the England games, you will need to contact me as soon as possible as there is now limited space available.

Oh yes. But most importantly, they’re both holding concerts on the coast this summer organized by Rock Lounge? Yeah baby!! Celebrating their 40th anniversary, UB40 will be live in concert in the Estepona bull ring on August 16th and just three days later, Kool & the Gang will perform all their top hits in Puente Romano Tennis Club, Marbella. UB40, with its unique reggaepop style was formed in the UK in 1978. The band have had more than 50 singles in the UK Singles Chart

They have been nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album four times, and in 1984 were nominated for the Brit Award for Best British Group.
