Our Mission It’s simple, really. We make the finest cotton sheets (duvet, linens) possible. Period. We’re crazy about linens and enhancing your sleeping experience. And why shouldn’t we be, after all a major part of our lives revolves around our beds and in particular the comfort, safety, and security associated with them. Who We Are Evencki first opened its doors in 2012 in Frankfurt, Germany. It was the first linen company to offer completely customizable sizes made from the finest cotton available. Since then, we have expanded our production, increased our options for patterns and designs, and more than tripled our inventory. Somewhere along the way, we also moved to Berlin. Evenck I is very proud and excited to now offer more patterns and designs than ever at affordable prices. Even though our inventory has increased, it doesn’t mean our attention to detail has decreased. Now more than ever we take great care in making each order rise above the expectations of our clients. Our motto hasn’t changed: A perfect sleeping experience. Period.

Hand Made in Poland Some things will never change. Our attention to detail is most certainly one of those things, another is how we create our custom linens. Evencki takes great pride in the fact that all our products are hand sawn by skilled seamstresses in Poland. With over 150 years of combined experience our devoted seamstresses take time to create true works of art. Aside from specializing in custom sizes, the advantages of having a close relationship with a select few seamstresses allows us to be more flexible, send out orders faster, and make last minute adjustments and control the quality of our product. After all, what’s the point in having a small base of operations if you don’t take advantage of it.

Quality Above Everything When it comes to fine cotton linens, quality is our primary concern. Three key components come into play when talking about the quality and condition of our products. 1. The cotton. You can’t have sheets without cotton, and you can’t have quality sheets without fine cotton and everyone knows the best cotton comes from Egypt. Evencki utilizes only the finest Egyptian cotton for all our product. 2. The weave. We trust only Italian mills to weave the perfect cotton sheet. After all, Italy is renowned for their expertise and superiority. 3. The count. The final piece of the puzzle is the thread count. Evencki doesn’t settle for anything under (300). Why? Honestly, we just feel that anything below doesn’t live up to our standards.

Egyptian Cotton Hand-picked to this day, Egyptian cotton is considered the finest in the world. The care with which Egyptian cotton is picked guarantees its quality and purity. The world strongest, finest, and longest lasting cotton fabrics are made from Egyptian cotton, simply because: 1. Egyptian cotton fibers are longer than regular cotton fibers, ensuring the strength and durability of the yarn 2. The strength also accounts for the fabrics resistance to wear and tear. Egyptian cotton fabrics tend to become softer with every wash because of this innate strength. 3. Fabrics made of Egyptian cotton absorb liquids better than other fabrics, allowing for coloring to be deeper, more vibrate, and last longer without fading.

Italian Weaves No other place on earth takes such pride, skill, and artistry like the Italian mills. Centuries of practice have resulted in what most consider true perfect in weaving, that’s why Evencki could go nowhere else to ensure only the finest for our clients. “Our close relations with our Italian partners are based on trust, respect, and appreciating for the fine artistry they bring to our products. We will settle for nothing but the best for our clients.� Thread Count Perhaps the most misunderstood term in the industry, thread count simply refers to the number of threads woven into each square inch of fabric. Thread count can range from less than 200 on the lower end to 1000 on the higher end. Two types of weaves exist: Percale and cotton satin: Percale is characterized by a criss cross weave pattern and typically has a thread count higher than 200. Cotton Satin on the other hand is woven using finer threads in a way that that makes the fabric feel silky and smooth with a very specific sheen to it. Of course personal preference is a deciding factor when choosing between percale and cotton satin. While some enjoy the silkiness of a higher count cotton satin, other prefer the simple touch and crisp feel of a 200 count percale.

Linen Care Taking care of your cotton sheets is as easy as one, two, three. 1. Machine wash in warm water, hot for whites, using a bleach free detergent. Strong enzymes such as bleach can damage and weaken the fabric. Fabric softeners should not be used on fine cotton. 2. For best results hang dry your sheets, avoid long cycles in the dryer. If you decide to use a dryer, don’t leave the sheets in for more than ten minutes, longer cycles can damage the cotton fibers weakening the weave, not to mention wrinkling. Hanging the sheets or laying them out on the bed to dry are the best methods. 3. The need to press the sheets should not exist unless you leave them in the dryer for too long. Press or iron while damp. Helpful tips: Skin care products and other oils and balms can stains the sheet. Be careful.

Q and A When should I replace my linens? With proper care, Egyptian cotton sheets can last up to five years or more. How often should I wash my linens? Pure white sheets should be washed about once every other week, this prevents body oils from staining and yellowing the sheets. This practice can be applied to other colors too. Cotton sheets should not go more than a month without being washed. Should I change my linens with the seasons? It is not necessary to completely change your linen set every season, though we do recommend it. Fall and Winter months may be better suited with darker, heavier linens, while Spring and Summer months are more suitable for lighter, cooler sheets. Ultimately it’s a personal preference. What is linen? A natural fiber derived from the flax plant, linen is slightly textured softening over time, accentuated with a cool feel to the touch. The sophisticated, rumpled look of linen is both elegant and casual. Do wrinkle free sheets exist? Yes, unfortunately these are chemically treated or made of polyester. Will monograms go out of fashion? Monograms are a special way to personalize your linens and will never go out of season. Monograming is a beautiful way to celebrate a special occasion, add class and personal touch to your bedroom, or make the perfect wedding gift.
