Young Mirchies Presents A Live Augmented Reality Experience For Infinova Group Young Mirchies proposed Live Augmented Reality concept to Infinova for their presence at the INTERSEC, Dubai - 2018 and Secutech, Mumbai - 2018 show, where Infinova had a grand stall of 192 sq.m. Young Mirchies came up with the concept of Augmented Reality which featured an animated superhero that appeared to show Infinova cameras and their features one after the other on a sensor-based technology. The 5th Edition Of Designs Of Hope Exhibition Executed by Done Events The Designs of Hope exhibition, in its 5th edition, was executed at Dubai Ladies Club from the May 02 to 07, 2018. Done Events was proud to support this initiative helping the powerful women of the UAE to protect young girls and ‘give a voice to the voiceless’. Funds raised from the exhibition went towards Al Manal Humanitarian Initiative’s ‘teacHER’ campaign. Project Manager Taleen Kalloghlian said of working on the installation, “We wanted to ensure a beautiful space was constructed to show the designs and the bridal gowns off to their full potential. It had to be a bright area that would encourage women to want to buy and contribute towards growing girl’s education. With a canopy of white flowers held up by trees, the space took on a luxury, dreamlike quality.”

TATA Steel Hosts Construction Conclave 2018 in Dubai; Executed by Matrix Tata Steel proposed to host an international conference on construction that would facilitate knowledge sharing among key stakeholders. Matrix Direct Communications was appointed as the event manager with full responsibility for the conclave. Blackworld Communications Studio Sets Up Voxxeltek; New Tech Arm to Aid Brands with AR and VR Blackworld Communications Studio has set up Voxxeltek, a global company with insights into cuttingedge current and future tech. In one of their projects, Voxxeltek has developed unique experiences using emerging technologies for Dubai Safari Park. Dubai Safari Park is a project by Dubai Municipality, spread over 119 hectares and will provide the best habitat for wildlife. Voxxeltek has created 7 experiences for Dubai Safari Park. Commenting on the same Mr. Trevor Pereira, CEO, Voxxeltek says, “Voxxeltek is working towards creating and building technologies that can improve lives and transform businesses. Our projects at Dubai Safari Park are experiences designed with a tech layer incorporated within it. BACKSTREET BOYS ENTHRALL AUDIENCES AT BLENDED MUSIC FESTIVAL 2018

LENDED MUSIC FESTIVAL by Du Live and produced by Done Events announced it’s return in April with headliners The Backstreet Boys and tickets of all categories to the show were SOLD OUT within weeks. Blended Music Festival previously ran for two editions in 2014 & 2015. The five-piece boy band, arguably one of the biggest pop names of the mid-nineties, performed at the festival at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on April 20. The Backstreet Boys along with the Spice Queen, Melanie C and British soul artist, Lemar joined by local talents such as Danny Aridi and Omar Afuni received an astounding appreciation from over 14,000 fans on the day of the event at Dubai Media City Amphitheater. With its come back in 2018, it is interesting to see the vision that promoters Done Events have for the festival. Blended was originally billed as an eclectic festival and pulled in some big names, including headliners Diane Krall, Elvis Costello and Aloe Blacc in its inaugural edition in 2014 and Kasabian, with Robin Thicke a year later.

The tour was planned as a way of thanking and recognising the efforts of the partners and generating the feeling of inclusion and delight about being a part of the Birla Gold Family. Brandwidth took the challenge to conceptualise and execute interesting engagements starting from the invite till the end of the trip. The uber luxurious JW Marriott Marquis was chosen as the hotel for the stay of all channel partners and the families in Dubai. Engagements like The Desert Safari and Dune bashing were planned on day 1 which concluded with a Barbeque dinner in the middle of the desert along with witnessing the mesmerising Tanura, Fire and the traditional Belly dance.

Day 3 was followed by the most miraculous night of the tour – The Night of the Stars, a grand gala to celebrate the champions of Birla Gold Cement along with recognising the efforts of the top dealers for the previous year. Ayushmann Khurrana In this exclusive interview with EVENTFAQS, he talks about the challenges of being a LIVE Artist, his evolution and what gives his band Ayushmann Bhava an edge over other bands in the country.

F

ROM a Radio Jockey and Event Host in his early days to an accomplished Actor and a livewire Performer today, Ayushmann Khurrana is one exceptional man who is truly the ‘Master’ of all trades. In this exclusive interview with ExM, he talks about the challenges of being a LIVE Artist, his evolution and what gives his band Ayushmann Bhava an edge over other bands in the country. How did your journey into the LIVE Entertainment and Events space start off? My first live show was on February 14, 2018, with the Channel V Fest in Goa with my band Ayushmann Bhava. It was a great experience, but I was also nervous at the same time because I was performing in front of thousands of college students across the nation. After that, I started doing a lot of college events because I always believe that the youth connect is most important and I have a good youth connect. I’ve performed at Mithibai, Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management, and Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics for starters. I have also gone on to perform at various other colleges and the response was tremendous. In your opinion how has the LIVE Events industry evolved over the years? LIVE events have definitely increased over the years and today, we have a lot of vectors for independent music as well. We have audiences for every genre which is great. It’s a great era to be an artist especially as a live performer right now because there are better opportunities in the market. 19

As a LIVE artist what challenges you on stage? It depends on where you are performing. If you are performing at a college gig, wedding gig, or a college show the tonality must be different and the way you interact with people has to be different. It’s always challenging to perform at weddings because there’s no ready audience and you have to make it interactive. At college gigs you get a ready audience, they are there only to listen to your music but at wedding gigs there are kids running around, the Bride and Groom are interacting and there are different families. The age group goes from 2-year-olds to 90-year-olds in the crowd. So, I believe that becomes more challenging as an artist to interact with everybody. In your opinion what gives Ayushman Bhava an edge over other LIVE performing bands at events today? Our biggest edge is that I am an actor and I add face value to the gig. I always maintain that I am an actor who sings, and it gives me an edge over others because of course, I am more of a performer. I interact on stage and being a LIVE anchor and an emcee gives me an edge over the others because I weave a story around my set list and it’s always great to be on stage.

KNOWNSENSE STUDIOS Designs Dome Setup for Mediacorp’s Marquee Event, Star Awards 2018 The star-studded event had an exceptionally beautiful venue decked up with 3D mapping effects lit dome structures.

ediacorp’s Marquee Event, Star Awards 2018 was organised at MES Theatre on April 22, 2018 where the Top 40 Nominees from the Singaporean Television Industry walked across a “Floating” catwalk platform. Ecstatic and magnanimous effects were created by Dome Projection Mapping at the venue that was designed by Knownsense Studios.

The team had to work out themes contrasting the backgrounds of Bling, Shine, Abstracts, and similar. Multiple themes were decided upon like Star-field, Pop Illusion, Mystical Forest, Space Travel, Crystal, Smoke, and Mist etc. But a bigger challenge was to create all the themes in a spherical canvas as it was a 180-degree dome. It was a completely different workflow than conventional video making. MANDEEP SHARMA

On the star-studded night, inside the MES Theatre, there was a special holographic segment featuring all the past recipients of the ‘All Time Favourite Artistes Award’, communicated to the audience in the form of holograms. The audience on location and at home were able to have an immersive 360-degree visual experience. When asked about the project to Himanshu Ghosh and a team from Knownsense Studios, he said, “We had previously worked with Adesh (Managing Director of MOVPL) on a few projects and were pretty excited to take on a new project with his team. MediaCorp along with MOVPL is one of the most genuine and like-minded people to work with and we are honoured to be a part of the history-turning event as Star Awards.” Almost as many as 12 projectors of 20,000 Lumens were installed for the Dome Projection. 7 projectors being operated inside the dome and the rest at various places outside. This gigantic dome was 22.5 meters high and 20 meters in diameter, giving a feeling of a virtual sky to the audience.

Planning perfectly was the most important aspect. We completely simulated every projector placement beforehand, created and tested new review systems to review the dome content on simulated 180-degree setups so that there would be no surprises for us in the end. A massive group of technicians had come together from all parts of the world for the execution of this show. They left no stone unturned in pulling together one of the most remarkable shows of all times. Technocrats from Singapore, Germany, China, and India were present at the venue to add enormous bling to a starry night. Challenges are a part and parcel of getting something right and this case was no different. All the content had to be pre-fabricated as there were time constraints, leaving time only for touch-ups. A dome of such vast nature needed precision and constant design check for zero faux pas. RAJARSHI SAMANTA

Happydemic brought together some of the best music artists from the industry for the brand’s second anniversary through a special IP, Shaan Love in Concert.

appydemic completed two years in the industry on April 17, 2018, and the team wanted to celebrate this special day to thank their partners in supporting them through their journey. In association with their sister concern companies – My Financial Advisor and HappynessFactory.in, Happydemic conceptualised and executed a unique IP – Shaan Love in Concert.

Love takes different forms in our lives. Love for your family, love for your friends, love for your partner, love for your country, and love for yourself. LIC was a musical presentation through which Shaan brought alive these emotions through songs that resonate with them. RADHIKA MUKHERJI FOUNDER & CEO, HAPPYDEMIC

The team chose the iconic location, Royal Opera House for the grandeur it represents. The show was a 3-hour power packed performance, with LED Graphics, dancers choreography by Deepak Singh, changing sets, props, and more. The event commenced with Happydemic exclusive artists who curated a special medley taking the audience back to 90’s and relive old memories. Singer Shaan then stepped on stage and took the audience through the different forms of love. Happydemic got the best from the industry to help put this event together. The concert also introduced technological innovations where people could download an app and request for songs live from the singer. Shaan too, catered to most of these requests and sang the songs. Some of the guests were also invited on stage to meet the singer while the app synced with the live display on-stage to feature the guests’ photos, making it a truly special moment for the attendees. This was the first time a concert witnessed such a candid segment in the country.

All Stars Football Club played a game against the Singapore team – Celebrities Sports Club. Leading Bollywood stars came together to play against the team led by Randall Tan accompanied by Steve Dawson, Steve Lai, Paul Singh, Amos Boon and other South Asian celebrities.

The most integral part of the tour was to execute it within 2 days while managing 18 celebrities. To bring them all on one platform from their busy schedules and then covering as much in just 2 days was a task but the team had it all in place. ET’S just say it at the outset itself that OneRepublic in India was truly a concert for all generations. From the bounciest of toddlers up to the grooviest of mothers and all the ages in between, everyone was dancing and shouting out lyrics to Grammy nominated quintet, OneRepublic songs at NSCI Dome, Mumbai.

The band beautifully executed an impressive catalogue of hits from across the years. Their set could easily pass as a greatest hits album. Every member was giving the performance everything they had. We would like to thank the government, fans and our partners for all their support. CYRUS GORIMAR

He elucidated, “Just about 3 weeks before the show as we lost MMRDA as a venue and thus, we had to start from scratch to plan the show. It was as good as planning a new show. Initially, it did not go down very well with the production manager of One Republic as they are not used to last minute changes but thankfully, they were very supportive and helped us in whatever way they could to make our lives easy.” Initially, SOUND.COM was roped in to manage the audio and sound set-up for the OneRepublic Concert in Mumbai. However, after the venue of the concert was changed to NSCI Dome, the job moved hands to Audio Dimension that put up a marvellous experience for the fans to revel in.

NDIA’S First home-grown ready to wear menswear brand Park Avenue reached a significant milestone this week with the launch of its 100th store in the country at Connaught Place, New Delhi. The event also witnessed the unveiling of Park Avenue’s new retail identity. Toast Events was given complete responsibility of the launch from conceptualising to execution. Launched in 1986, Park Avenue has always been at the forefront of blending fashion and technology and has made its mark as a brand that has constantly challenged convention. Now they have reinvented their retail identity with the 100th store. The new store represents a refined industrial aesthetic by recreating an urban loft design that gives customers a 360-degree studio experience. The launch event saw Toast events recreate the front entrance of the store along with a stage setup outside the new store at Connaught Place. The stage setup incorporated elements of the new retail design of the brand. This helped the brand increase visibility of the 100th store and made it stand out in a densely store populated part of Connaught Place. The stage was used as a teaser pre-launch for crowds passing by without revealing all the details of the event. Toast events also planned the Park Avenue fashion march on the streets of Connaught Place. The launch kicked off with 20 models styled in Park Avenue apparel & accessories marching from different parts of Connaught Place towards the 100th store and assembling on the launch stage. “Doing a flash fashion show was out of the question for us given the ethos of the brand. We wanted to do something subtle and less gimmicky. The march was a tool to subtly transform the vibe of the place from Connaught place to Park Avenue, New York” said Adrian Sequeira, Client Servicing – Toast Events The culmination of the launch saw Mr. Gautam Hari Singhania (Chairman & Managing Director–Raymond Ltd) and cricket legend Mr. Ravi Shastri officially unveil the store in the company of well known television anchor Archana Vijaya. To celebrate this important milestone, the management of the company were joined by Park Avenue employees, store staff, distributors, bloggers and the media for a walk though of the 100th store. The journey of Park Avenue from its inception to the launch of its 100th store was depicted through story wall installations across the store created by Toast Events.

The mandate for executing the same was handed over to Brandwidth Events for this edition. BMW invited all its top performing and outstanding dealers for this prestigious event and a total of over 300 invitees pan India were flown in for the event.

Brandwidth Events Executes the 8th Edition of BMW EXCELLENCE AWARDS BMW Excellence Awards, the annual event to recognise and reward the best performers of BMW Group India, was held at JW Marriott, Aerocity, New Delhi on April 6, 2018. Brandwidth mapped a blueprint for the award show and ensured that all the complex details were taken into consideration to ensure the success of the event. The event design was inspired by the event theme ‘Simply Unstoppable’. From event collaterals to the setup, everything was dynamic and crisp, hinting towards the theme. Event-related communication like agenda, venue, guest list was shared with attendees via Guidebook. The integration of the Guidebook app also enabled the attendees to chat with one another, share and upload pictures, and helped increase guest interaction.

The event became really challenging for us due to the scarcity of time with respect to the large scale of the setup; but I think we rose to the challenge and the team did a phenomenal job in the planning and execution of the event with everything completed within the allotted time. It was a great experience working with the BMW team and the event was appreciated by everyone. All ideas and elements came together superbly. ADITYA SIBAL

In the pre-function area, two special display zones were created for BMW MINI and BMW Motorrad. One of the highlights of the evening was the BMW Magazine cover photo-op. The engagement saw a lot enthusiastic guests lining up to get clicked. Photographs were instantly given away to the guests in customised BMW photo jackets. A stunning 128ft multi-LED stage inspired by the event’s theme was created for the evening. The gorgeous Archana Vijaya was the host for the evening. The show commenced with a thematic audio-visual clip specially created for the event post which “Omaggio” dance troupe gave a fast-paced performance setting the context of the evening as per the event theme. To break the monotony of the multiple sets of awards, the very famous British Illusionist Richard Jones took the stage. To make the guests feel special and to make the event memorable, a newsletter with the highlights of the event was created and were given away to all the guests during their check-outs. This was a great additional element to keep the excitement carried forward through the next day as well. The guests were really surprised and idea was a complete success.

ACH YEAR, Asian Paints celebrates the achievements and milestones of all the members of its family of dealers from across the country, chosen based on sales targets and rewarded with an incentive trip to a foreign destination. This year, the destinations were Budapest (Hotel Kempinski) and Vienna (Hotel Hilton) as the destinations are not only home to royal history and architecture, but also to vision and innovation, from April 28, 2018 to May 12, 2018. The brief was to curate a splendid celebration for the members of Asian Paints Privilege Club with the objective of giving them the experience of a lifetime.

The group was kept engaged throughout the itinerary with exciting activities and theme dinners planned for every day. The fifth and the final day was the Gala Night. The theme this year was ‘Night of the Future’ and the entire venue was decorated accordingly. There were performances by famous International artists like Ana Yang who displayed the astonishing Bubble Act and Steven Brundage who is also known as the Rubik’s Cube Magician. Apart from these acts, there were also performances by the Hormuzd Khambata’s Dance Troupe who helped in revealing Asian Paints’ Colour of the Year – Passion Flower.

Keeping the theme and objective in mind, the seed of thought led to the birth of a plan – to create an experience that would make the members of Asian Paints Privilege Club feel like Visionaries. The invitation was made in the form of a ‘light-box’ that would glow when the invitation letter was pulled out.

The highlight of the evening was the talk session by Mr. Neil Harbisson who is the World’s first official Cyborg.

The trip commenced with the welcome dinner that was organised in the historic Hungarian Railway Museum. The show began with Asian Paints COO Mr. Amit Syngle’s entry on a historical train along with a group of Dancers which left everyone stunned.

The group was also taken for multiple sight-seeing tours including venues like Visegrad Castle where they witnessed an exclusive Knights’ Tournament, a Shooting Range that was booked exclusively, an exclusive tram ride from Schonbrunn Palace to the hotel, along with the usual sight-seeing spots like Heroes Square, Parliament House, Buda Castle, Monastery Vineyard, etc.

The Third International MICE & Wedding Forum Ends On A High Note With Participation From Over 60 Countries

HE International MICE & Wedding Forum brought the most important representatives of the wedding and MICE industry together from around the world. Starting from May 28, 2018 to June 01, 2018 in Titanic Deluxe Golf Belek Hotel, Antalya, the Forum gave attendees an unforgettable night to remember with its spectacular gala event and awards ceremony. The forum brought the top players from the world tourism, MICE, and Wedding planners together with over 300 agencies from 60 different countries, as well as with industry suppliers and managers from over 50 hotels and airlines in Antalya for 4 days. IMWF sponsored by Turkish Airlines and Titanic Hotels opened on Tuesday, May 29 with the opening remarks of KKTC Tourism and Environment Minister Fikri Ataoglu and Antalya Governor Münir Karaloğlu. The day before the gala, a very special event was held at the historical Aspendos Ancient Theater in Antalya. About one thousand people attended the special night. The Antalya Symphony Orchestra performed a spectacular

acoustic concert in the historical atmosphere. In the night full of surprises, arias rose up to air in Aspendos. The biggest and most important players of MICE and wedding sector met at the gala night of the International MICE & Wedding Forum. IMWF Managing Partner Fuat Ersoy and company partners Bünyat Özpak and Asil Akar presented their plaques to the participants in the gala and thanked the big team who worked through the forum and the business partners who showed their support along this way. The Forum will provided a big share in the promotion of Antalya, Turkey’s major hotels as well as India, Russia, America, Italy, Britain, Austria, the Netherlands, Lebanon, Nigeria and hotels in various chains of the world countries such as Japan Airlines, wedding and to perform one-to-one talks with MICE agents took their place in the Forum. The program’s wedding tourism and social media phenomena in the MICE sector and journalistic departments are in the IMWF and Western Mediterranean Development Agency (BAKA) business union.

RMAI Gets a New President as Sanjay Kaul Hands Over Baton to Raj Kumar Jha The Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI) has appointed Raj Kumar Jha, Consultant Ogilvy, as its next president. The appointment was announced at the thirteenth annual general meeting of the association held recently in Mumbai. Jha takes over the reins of the association for two years (2018-20) after having served RMAI in various capacities. Speaking on the appointment, Jha said, “Today, RMAI is on the forefront of rural knowledge dissemination. His efforts of making functioning at RMAI transparent, collaborative and progressive have yielded fruits. As I get into his role, focus of my team will remain largely the same. PALM RESOUNDS WITH SURGE IN VISITORS FROM STAGE SOUND AND LIGHTING FOR EVENT INDUSTRY

HE latest edition of the PALM Expo at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, was once again a resounding success. Celebrating 18 consecutive years, PALM Expo, India continues to exemplify the unrivalled energy of the global Pro sound and light industry. This year’s edition boasted the highest attendance and participation ever as a staggering 23,436 unique visitors, from across the country made their way to the venue from May 31 - June 02, 2018, proving that the Pro AV and lighting industry in India is poised for further expansion in the upcoming year. Day one clocked 9,197 visitors hosted by 2500 exhibitor badges - a total of 11,697 attendees. Day two registered 9,773 unique visitors and a record footfall of 12,765, while day three clocked 4,466 unique visitors. Over the three days of the show unique visitor numbers demonstrated an increase of 20% from the last year. This edition of the PALM witnessed a significant increase in the share of trade visitors from B and C tier towns of India, with an increase in buyers from rest of India accounting for nearly 14%. “PALM was a tremendously successful event with the highest figures for exhibitors and visitors,” said Manish Gandhi, Director & COO of ABEC Exhibitions & Conferences Pvt. Ltd. The total exhibition area across the eight halls increased by 19.23% since 2017 and the demand for new products was reflected by the busy exhibit halls, with Hall 1 being demarcated for the sound manufacturers and distributors, and Hall 5 for the lighting companies. “Reputed brands globally define PALM as a top destination to test product performance in a highly advanced marketplace by adopting latest technology and features. HRIVING on the conceptual importance of event tech and everything ‘new and inspiring’ to event professionals, Event Show Asia hosted its first edition in Mumbai on April 25th, 2018 at Hotel Sahara Star. This particular edition of Event Show Asia in Mumbai was the first time when the show was being hosted in the financial capital of the country in its complete format following its launch in New Delhi last year. KNOWLEDGE SHARING AND IMMERSIVE TECHNOLOGICAL EXHIBITS A day packed with insightful panel discussions, technological exhibits, and spectacular entertainment, Event Show Asia Mumbai was supported by Living Liquidz, who came onboard as the title partners of the event. The platform hosted 16 exciting showcase partners that exhibited some of the coolest technological engagements that promise to add tremendous value to the experiential ecosystem of the country. PLEDGE FOR SAFETY AT EVENTS Another massive highlight of the Living Liquidz Event Show Asia Mumbai was the coming together of the

LAUNCH OF ‘THE YELLOW DAIRY’ Following a day complete with thought provoking learnings and mind-boggling technology, Event Show Asia completely changed gears in the evening and transformed into a night of gala celebration as global music giant Sony Music launched the much-awaited EP of India’s first experimental alternative rock band ‘The Yellow DIARY’called MARZ. Announcing the release, Rohan Jha, head of Pop commented, “The Yellow DIARY is one of the unique talents that we signed so far. The band is a perfect combination of a distinct young sound and mature, soulful lyrics. DEALING WITH STRESS IN THE WORKPLACE The Cue Cards is a series created to provide a few insights and to explore the possibilities of self expression and career growth in order to experience fulfilment in life. So here is a set of cue cards that introduce concepts and enable us to navigate our way through circumstances and create our own destiny. BY SUSHMA GAIKWAD

T

HERE are are various factors that contribute to stress in the workplace. These factors include inter-personal conflict, unrealistic deadlines, lack of compatibility with the team, mismanagement of time, lack of focus, under-delivery of KRAs, ineffective leadership and many more. This affects productivity. It also results in a feeling of powerlessness in career and a lack of job satisfaction. These cue cards address these issues and provide a roadmap to reclaim loss of power in the workplace. CUE CARD 1: Identify the triggers Stress is caused to due a variety of reasons. Sometimes a range of triggers create stress that results in a variety of symptoms i.e. lingering anxiety, lack of appetite, depression, insomnia, physical ailments as well as lack of confidence, concentration and underlying/displaced anger. The triggers manifest in both physical and emotional ailments. If there is stress in the workplace, the key is to identify the triggers and get to the root cause of the stress. Sometimes multiple triggers generate stress, hence the key is to list down all the reasons in a left side column and the symptoms on the related right side column. This will enable clarity and allow the sub conscious mind to navigate through the fog of uncertainty. CUE CARD 2: Get some distance from the issue Most times issues seem larger than life and insurmountable as we are too close to the picture. It is important to view the issue with another lens – preferably one that has a wider perspective. The ideal action is to take a breather from the issue, engage oneself in leisure activities that involves one’s passion. This helps to centre the mind and also release anxiety from the body. Moreover, it enables a break from the flux of continuous banter of the mind. CUE CARD 3: List and Evaluate possible solutions It is said that every problem has a solution – and this certainly holds true in the situation of finding solutions to sift our way through stress. The best possible method to arrive at a solution of the issue is to create a list of a variety of solutions. Work on the triggers list created earlier and a possible solution next to it. There could be multiple solutions for each trigger. Evaluate the impact of each of the solutions to create an action list to exercise the same.

CUE CARD 4: Get a Sounding board There is always someone present in our lives that enable us to evaluate our stance. When in stress, it is best to offload to someone who is compassionate and empathetic. Share about your situation, your perspective as well as the possible solutions with this confidante. Ideally, it should be someone out of the work place to enable you to gain a third person perspective on the issue. In fact, by sharing, the load is lightened and the impact on your psychology is minimised. CUE CARD 5: Activate your solutions If one has arrived at a solution, exercise it. If not, keep looking for a solution. It is important that we are always aware of the triggers that generate stress. Create a time frame to get into action. If there is an inter-personal conflict, address it without judgements – with grace and ease. If there excess of workload, work on time management & delegation plans. There may exist multiple solutions, if yes, choose one. If it does not work, choose the second and work your way out of stress. IN CONCLUSION Overwhelm exists in many workplaces of today. Mental, emotional and physical health is on a decline. Stress is caused by the perspective of lack of control in areas of our life and is a reflection of the inability to cope with certain situations. The key is identifying stress triggers and working consciously toward complete health. Solutions are always available and yet, one has to seek them. It is important to preserve quality of life in order to positively impact creativity and productivity. Be Alert. Be conscious. Be Aware. Build an ‘Extraordinary Life’ with choices that create an Extraordinary experience for yourself!

EXPERIENTIAL PLANNER EXPO BREAKS GEOGRAPHICAL BARRIERS FOR INDIAN MICE & WEDDING PLANNERS The second exhibition and exposition co-located with WOW Awards Asia 2018 was the Experiential Planner Expo (EPEX) by tmf Dialogue Marketing India. This year the exhibition saw 55 registered exhibitors, and while the pre-set meetings were at around 1800, there were a total of 2300 meetings overall conducted during the 2-day duration of the exhibition. The 2-days of the Expo and the networking lunches that featured there-in, were hosted by Emcee Bharat Jain. Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority were the lunch hosts of Day 1 of EPEX 2018, while Dubai Business Events hosted EPEX delegates for lunch on Day 2 at EPEX. Dubai Business Events, further also hosted an exclusive dinner for corporate leaders of EPEX at Andaz, New Delhi Aerocity on June 29, 2018. The Jumeirah Hotels Group hand hosted an exclusive dinner for top wedding and event planners on the same evening at the Andaz, New Delhi Aerocity as well. Asia MICE Summit The WOW Lab at WOW Awards Asia 2018 saw the debut of an Asia MICE Summit that succeeded the discussions of the Experiential Marketing Summit on June 29, 2018. The first ever Asia MICE Summit was conceptualized with the intention of bringing to the fore, the challenges faced by corporates in creating effective MICE campaigns for their internal as well as external stakeholders. The WOW Awards, in its 10th edition was the most celebrated aspect of the convention this year. With 100 categories of awards spread across 5 segments, WOW Awards is the most credible and true recognition for the experiential industry in Asia. With over 1600 entries received across categories, WOW Awards Asia 2018 had over 150 jury members judging segments based on their unique expertise. The WOW Awards Asia 2018 had KPMG in India as process validators and evaluators. The winners of segments C, D and E, of the WOW Awards 2018, were announced in a ceremony on June 29 at the Pullman Hotel New Delhi Aerocity. The ceremony was seamlessly hosted by Emcees Ritika Jhanji and Riaz Basha. The ceremony was kick-started by a superbly engaging performance by world-renowned mentalist Eran Biderman. Post the awards ceremony on June 29th, the winners advanced towards the Pullman Courtyard for the WOW Silent Disco Party.

The winners of segment A and B of the WOW Awards Asia 2018, were announced at a ceremony on June 30 at the Andaz New Delhi. Making his comeback to LIVE Events hosting, was stand-up comedy pioneer, Ash Chandler, who hosted the ceremony. WOW Decade Artist, Gitikka Ganju Dhar was the official ‘voice of the WOW Awards’, as she carried out all formalities and announcements of awards through the evening. EXPERIENTIAL MARKETING GROUP OF AWARDS Fountainhead MKTG topped the metal tally this edition, with 16 wins. Following closely were Laqshya Live Experiences that had a stunning year yet again and took home 12 metals. 70 EMG was also not far behind and partied the night away after clinching 10 metals bringing their overall WOW Awards Asia metals tally to 51.
