We call this important system a “protocol” since it guides both the dentist and dental technician from surgery to the prosthesis. Biological defence of the fixture is not a discovery; it’s a solution of the problem.

Overcoming the divergence of the implants during the construction of the fixed prosthesis is an innovation and an important technological advance.

During the years spent developing the Ot Equator, we have formed a large circle of colleagues both in Italy and abroad, becoming good friends with many. Summing up the results obtained and having completed the components range, we have been masters of this technique for some years and we have found the strength and conviction to define and implement our project. Thus the OT Equator Center was born with the aim of developing and spreading this new implantoprosthetic method through courses including ones held internationally. After several years of theoretical and practical courses – begun in Italy in a simple and almost friendly way – we are today able to explain and train dentists and dental technicians on a large scale. In the near future, through our current courses and new communication technologies, we can offer an alternative – ranging from surgery to prosthetics – simplifying the work for professionals and offering our patients an important rehabilitation, enjoying the fruits of these scientific, functional, tested and safe results.

We have been applying this method for years. The results obtained allow us to spread this method via dentistry and dental technology courses.

Un sistema importante che chiamiamo protocollo perché guida l’odontoiatra e l’odontotecnico dalla chirurgia alla protesi. La difesa biologica delle fixture non è una novità, è una soluzione del problema.

Superare il disparallelismo degli impianti nella costruzione della protesi fissa è una scoperta ed un progresso tecnologico rilevante.

Applichiamo questa metodica da anni ed i risultati ottenuti ci consentono di divulgarla tramite corsi di odontoiatria ed odontotecnica.

Negli anni trascorsi, durante la messa a punto della metodica OT Equator, oltre a realizzare il progetto, ci siamo creati una numerosa cerchia di colleghi, sia in Italia che all’estero. Con alcuni di loro, oggi siamo diventati amici. Sommando i risultati ottenuti e avendo completato la gamma dei componenti, da alcuni anni siamo padroni di questa tecnica e abbiamo trovato la forza e la convinzione per definire e realizzare il progetto. Nasce così OT Equator Center, con lo scopo di sviluppare e divulgare, attraverso dei corsi anche internazionali, questa nuova metodica implantoprotesica. Dopo alcuni anni di corsi teorici e pratici - iniziati in Italia in modo semplice e quasi amichevole - oggi siamo in grado di istruire e formare degli odontoiatri e degli odontotecnici su vasta scala. In tempi ragionevolmente brevi, attraverso i nostri corsi attuali, sfruttando anche le nuove tecnologie di comunicazione, possiamo offrire un’alternativa - che va dalla chirurgia alla protesi - semplificando il lavoro a noi professionisti e offrire ai nostri pazienti riabilitazioni importanti vivendo, noi e loro, con soddisfazione e serenità questi risultati scientifici, funzionali, collaudati e sicuri.

THE NEW ERA - OT EQUATOR BIOLOGIC ABUTMENT COURSES INFORMATION IMPORTANT. PLEASE NOTE: The courses held at OT Equator Center are very specific.

To evaluate the innovative elements, please read the goals of the program carefully The OT Equator Biologic Abutment method is a new and completely different technique from the systems so far practiced. These are products and titanium components that are used by the dentist and dental technician in a simple yet focused way, ensuring results that are not possible with any other technique.

Let’s look at the biological results that ensure the future health of the fixture. We are talking about a prosthesis that a dental technician can build in a simple, practical and aesthetic way, even with more than 80° of divergencies between the implants. All these courses, from the purely

educational and informative Course “A” to Course “D”, which has the subject of immediate loading on patients, are all able to train a student who has a minimum experience in implantoprosthesis and give him the skill to apply this method on their patient the day after the course.

It might appear risky to present a new subject with such conviction, but after 10 years of research and 8 years of prostheses implanted on hundreds of patients, we can claim we are able to present new techniques that are functional, practical and successful.

OT Equator Center was born for this reason.

La metodica OT Equator Biologic Abutment è una tecnica nuova e completamente diversa dai sistemi fino ad oggi praticati.

Si tratta di prodotti e di componenti in titanio che, utilizzati dall’odontoiatra e dall’odontotecnico in modo semplice ma mirato, assicurano risultati non realizzabili con altre tecniche.

Parliamo di risultati biologici che assicurano la salute futura delle fixture e di protesi che l’odontotecnico costruisce in modo semplice, pratico ed estetico, anche con impianti disparalleli tra di loro di oltre 80°.

Questi corsi, da quello “A” puramente didattico ed informativo a quello “D” che ha per tema il carico immediato sul paziente,

sono tutti in grado di formare il corsista con già un minimo di esperienza in implantoprotesi e di consentirgli, fin dal giorno dopo, di applicare questa metodica sul paziente.

Può sembrare azzardato presentare un tema nuovo con tanta convinzione, ma dopo 10 anni di ricerca e 6 anni di protesi impiantate su centinaia di pazienti, possiamo asserire di essere davvero in grado di presentare tecniche nuove, funzionali, pratiche e di sicuro successo.

OUR COURSES FEATURES AND ORGANIZATION OF COURSES The Center organizes three types of courses:

For any family members accompanying the students, it is possible to organize a tour of the city accompanied by a tourist guide to visit the historic center, museums and do some shopping.

Bologna is a historic medieval town a few kilometres from other major tourist cities and easily accessible by public transport and taxis:

n Course “A” – Theoretical course lasting 1 day. It can be done off-site and summarized in a conference of 90 minutes or 2 hours. n Course “B” – Theoretical and practical course lasting 2 days (only at the Bologna headquarters). n Course “D” – Surgery and prosthesis on patients course lasting 2 days (only at the Bologna headquarters).

• In addition to the scheduled courses every year, other encounters are available, such as refresher courses designed to be taken at exterior locations such as at universities, retailers, etc.

• OT Equator Center operators will speak in italian and/or english during the international courses. If a mother-tongue interpreter is required for courses with more than 8 foreign participants, it should be communicated in time to be able to find an interpreter and, if necessary, give them the time necessary to acquire the technical terms of the dental sector.

• All those who have participated in previous courses will be constantly updated about any future educational and cultural activities at the Center.

• A daily lunch at 12:30 is offered by the organization with a light Italian cuisine.

• In 2 day courses, at the end of the first day of work, a dinner at a restaurant known for its traditional Bolognese cuisine will be offered. Before dinner, and if the course does not go into overtime, a short sightseeing trip of the city of Bologna will be taken.

Per gli eventuali familiari che accompagnano i corsisti, è possibile organizzare un tour della città, con l’accompagnamento di una guida turistica, per visitare il centro storico, musei o fare shopping.

Bologna è una città storica medievale e dista pochi km da alcune città turistiche importanti e raggiungibili facilmente con mezzi pubblici e taxi:

n Corso “A” – Corso teorico della durata di 1 giorno.

Può essere svolto fuori sede e sintetizzato in una conferenza di 1 ora e mezza o 2 ore. n Corso “B” – Corso teorico e pratico della durata di 2 giorni (in sede a Bologna - anche fuori sede previi accordi e organizzazione). n Corso “D” – Corso di chirurgia e protesi su paziente della durata di 2 giorni (solo in sede a Bologna).

• Oltre ai corsi programmati annualmente, sono allo studio altri incontri, tipo conferenze di aggiornamento, da tenersi presso sedi esterne come Università, rivenditori, etc.

• Durante i corsi internazionali, gli operatori di OT Equator Center parleranno in lingua italiana e/o inglese. Se per i corsi con un numero superiore agli 8 partecipanti stranieri occorresse un interprete di madrelingua, va segnalato in tempo per poterlo trovare e, se necessario, consentirgli di acquisire i termini tecnici del settore dentale.

• Tutti coloro che hanno partecipato ai corsi precedenti saranno costantemente aggiornati su tutte le future attività didattiche e culturali del Centro.

• Tutti i giorni il pranzo delle ore 12.30 è offerto dall’organizzazione, con cibi leggeri della cucina italiana.

The participants, upon registration, receive a teaching manual that they can consult to arrive at the course already prepared for the topic of the course. During the course, for each task, the technician can keep the relevant page open while the tutor gives further instruction accompanied by slides. Dentists who wish to receive information about the prosthetic can also participate in this course. During some phases of the course they will be invited by a dentist tutor to follow a program on oral implantology. Each year a course will be scheduled in February and another one in May. The dates will be comunicated two moths prior.

PROGRAMMA

Il partecipante, al momento dell’iscrizione, riceve un manuale didattico che può consultare per presentarsi al corso già documentato sui temi che saranno trattati. Durante il corso, per ogni lavoro, il tecnico può tenere aperta la pagina dedicata mentre il tutor con immagini proiettate dà ulteriori istruzioni. A questo corso possono partecipare anche i dentisti che desiderano ricevere nozioni sulla parte protesica. Durante alcune fasi del corso, saranno invitati da un tutor odontoiatra a seguire un programma sull’implantologia orale. Ogni anno, il primo corso B viene programmato nel mese di febbraio, il secondo nel mese di maggio. Le date vengono comunicate con anticipo di almeno due mesi in base alle richieste ed alle date degli altri corsi.

DESCRIPTION

DURATION: 2 DAYS COST: the price changes according to the number of partecipants

(a minimum of 15 dentists and some dental technicians are required) NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COURSES - “MASTERS ON PATIENTS” Surgery and immediate loading implants on the patient filmed live and projected at the center’s Auditorium.

The course participants will have access to the operation room (at the surgeon’s discretion).

These courses are organized in collaboration with the University, government bodies and Italian and foreign private organizations.

TEMPORARY THREAD-REINFORCED-RESIN FIXED BRIDGE PROGRAM: surgery and prosthesis – delivery to the patient around six hours after the end of a session.

DOUBLE SEEGER BAR STRUCTURE: surgery and prosthesis. First session of around 3 hours, delivery of the prosthesis to the patient at the end of the second session after 24 hours.

COST OF PARTECIPATION: the price chancges according to the number of participants. It is important to expertly fill out the “preventive anamnestic clinical evaluation” form.

The Scientific Commission of OT Equator Center and its staff will examine the case and, if approved, will define the date of surgery.The patient will arrive in Bologna the day before surgery to check that all the preliminaries are correct.

Questi corsi vengono organizzati in collaborazione con Università, Enti statali ed Organizzazioni private italiane ed estere.

PROGRAMMA PONTE FISSO PROVVISORIO IN RESINA-FILO-ARMATA: chirurgia e protesi – consegna al paziente a fine seduta in totale 6 ore circa.

DOPPIA STRUTTURA SEEGER BAR: chirurgia e protesi. Prima seduta di 3 ore circa, consegna della protesi al paziente a fine seconda seduta, dopo 24 ore.

La Commissione scientifica di OT Equator Center ed il suo staff esamineranno il caso e, se approvato, prenderanno accordi per la data dell’intervento. Il paziente arriverà a Bologna il giorno prima dell’intervento, per essere sottoposti ai preliminari necessary.

COURSE D AIM OF THE “MASTERS ON PATIENTS” COURSES The aim of these courses is to show the surgical steps of the application of the OT Equator Biologic Abutment attachment through live operations, achieving the result of future biological defence safely and easily and showing the simplicity of the prosthetic, even in cases of considerable divergence between the implants. The accompanying dentist tutor, once the patient is rehabilitated, will follow their progress after returning home, touching by hand and validating the efficiency of this method. If desired, you may call on the patients for periodic checkups and present the results to the clinicians participating in the course.This completes the cycle of the course. To calculate and cover the costs of such a complex and articulated event as this (considered necessary to disclose such a method), it is essential that at least 20 dentists and dental technicians take part in the course along with the patient and the accompanying dentist. These professionals, who will follow the treatment live on screen, will learn a simplifying method at the forefront of all other unto known techniques in only 2 days. The participants will be able to face their everyday work on their return and apply this new surgical and prosthetic technique safely.

MATERIAL TO PRODUCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF COURSE “D” In order to make it possible to organize a “D” course on external patients, OT Implant Srl will have to receive the following documents from the accompanying dentist: • Name, date of birth, gender of the patient; • Alginate impression models of the mouth, poured with hard plaster and mounted in the articulator (you may want to keep a copy of the models at your headquarters as well as the one that will be provided); • Panoramic radiography and a CAT scan if possible; • Medical history records, blood tests and any medical reports on specific diseases; • Photo of the patient’s face and mouth.

This material, to be forwarded by mail or courier, will allow the Scientific Commission and the OT Equator Center staff to arrive on the day prepared in the best possible way and carry out the surgery and the training course in conditions of maximum safety for the patient.

Under article 13 of Legislative Decree N. 196/2003 – “Code regarding the protection of personal data” OT Implant Srl undertakes not to disclose the personal data contained in the aforementioned documents to any third parties.

SCOPO DEI CORSI “MASTER SU PAZIENTI” Lo scopo di questi corsi è quello di mostrare, con interventi in diretta, le fasi chirurgiche dell’applicazione dell’attacco OT Equator Biologic Abutment, ottenendo con sicurezza e facilità il risultato di difesa biologica futura dell’impianto e la semplicità dell’applicazione protesica, anche in caso di notevole sottosquadro tra gli impianti. L’odontoiatra tutor accompagnatore, una volta riabilitato il paziente, ne seguirà il decorso positivo nel proprio paese, dopo il ritorno a casa, toccando con mano e verificando l’efficienza della metodica.Volendo, potrà convocare i pazienti a controlli periodici presentando i risultati clinici ai partecipanti al corso. Si completa così il ciclo del corso. Per calcolare e sostenere i costi di un evento così complesso e articolato, necessario per divulgare la metodica, è essenziale che, insieme al paziente e all’odontoiatra accompagnatore, vengano ad assistere al corso almeno 20 partecipanti tra dentisti ed odontotecnici. Questi professionisti del settore, seguendo in diretta il trattamento, apprenderanno in soli 2 giorni una metodica all’avanguardia, semplificata rispetto a tutte le tecniche finora conosciute. I partecipanti saranno in grado, al loro ritorno, di affrontare la professione quotidiana e di applicare con sicurezza questa nuova metodica chirurgica e protesica.

MATERIALE DA PRODURRE PER L’ORGANIZZAZIONE DEL CORSO “D” Per rendere possibile l’organizzazione di un corso “D” su pazienti esterni, OT Implant Srl dovrà ricevere dall’odontoiatra accompagnatore i seguenti documenti: • Nome del paziente, data di nascita, sesso; • Modelli della bocca improntata con alginato, colati con gesso duro e montati in articolatore (si consiglia di tenere presso la propria sede anche una copia duplicata dei modelli oltre a quella che verrà fornita); • Radiografia panoramica e, se possibile, Tomografia Assiale Computerizzata (TAC); • Scheda anamnestica, esami del sangue ed eventuali referti medici riguardanti patologie specifiche; • Foto del volto e della bocca.

Questo materiale, inoltrabile tramite mail o corriere, permetterà alla Commissione scientifica ed allo staff OT Equator Center di arrivare al giorno dell’evento preparati nel miglior modo possibile per realizzare l’intervento chirurgico ed il corso formativo in condizioni di massima sicurezza per il paziente.

Ai sensi dell’art.13 del d.lgs. n. 196/2003 – “Codice in materia di protezione dei dati personali” OT Implant Srl si impegna a non divulgare a terzi i dati contenuti nei documenti sopraccitati.

COURSE D FIRST DAY - MORNING 8.30 am AUDITORIUM:

Introduction to the OT Equator Biologic Abutment method with an audio-visual presentation.This presentation regarding the use of OT Equator products is a very important basis: it will be taken up again over the two days during breaks between operations on the patients and completed during the closing conference of the course.

It will show how it is possible to create a “casted structure and superstructure” combined prosthesis (using the Studio-Laboratory-Studio kit which contains 4 Mini-Medio implants of the diameter and length selected by the surgeon and what is necessary for the lab) in a short time (2 or 3 days) and at low cost obtaining a result of excellent quality.

DENTAL PRACTICE – OPERATION ON THE PATIENT:

IMMEDIATE LOADING “DOUBLE STRUCTURE COMBINED PROSTHESIS” SEEGER BAR USING THE STUDIO-LABORATORY-STUDIO KIT

- Visit by the surgeon in charge, document verification, x-rays and CAT scan already viewed as a result of the previous exchange of documents with the accompanying dentist;

- Trial of the teeth mounted on wax and testing the wax wall again for articulation; - Anaesthesia (conscious sedation YES  NO );

- Surgery: “Mini-Medio implants” or other implants insertion;

- OT Equator Biologic attachments application (in case of using other branded implants);

- End of surgery: taking impression – wax wall retest – relining the wax wall – protective shield application;

- In some phases, the course participants are invited into the surgery room to view the work carried out on the patient directly;

- Sending the Studio-Laboratorio-Studio kit, the impressions, the articulator and the wax block to the laboratory.

The patient will be dismissed.They will rest for a few hours in the equipped relax room after which they can leave the center and return again the following day for the application of the prosthesis.

12.30 pm AUDITORIUM: The surgeon with visual illustrations and brief comments will give information about the “Seeger Bar” surgery 1.00 pm Lunch

During lunch, the dental technicians of the center will proceed with laboratory work by pouring the models in plaster and mounting them in the articulator.

After lunch, they will explain to the technicians who participated in the course the procedures for the construction of the prosthesis that will be mounted to the patient the following day at around 3 PM.

- Visita del chirurgo di turno, controllo di documenti, radiografie e TAC già visionate a seguito di precedenti scambi di documenti medici del paziente con il dentista accompagnatore;

- Prova dei denti montati in cera e riprova del vallo in cera per l’articolazione;

- Anestesia (sedazione cosciente SI  NO );

- Chirurgia: inserzione “Mini-Medio Impianti” o altri impianti;

- Applicazione attacchi O.B.A. (in caso di utilizzo di impianti di altre marche);

- Fine chirurgia: rilievo impronte-riprova del vallo di cera-ribasatura del vallo di cera-applicazione scudetto protettivo;

- I corsisti, in alcune fasi dell’intervento, vengono invitati in ambulatorio per visionare direttamente il lavoro svolto sul paziente;

- Invio al laboratorio del kit Studio-Laboratorio-Studio, delle impronte, dell’articolatore e del blocco di cera.

Il paziente verrà dimesso. Riposerà per qualche ora nelle sale appositamente attrezzate, poi lascerà la sede e si presenterà il giorno dopo per l’applicazione della protesi.

Durante la pausa pranzo, gli odontotecnici tutor del centro procedono con il lavoro di laboratorio colando i modelli in gesso e montandoli in articolatore.

Dopo il pranzo, spiegheranno agli odontotecnici partecipanti al corso i procedimenti per la costruzione della protesi che verrà montata al paziente il giorno dopo, alle ore 15 circa.
