OT Equator universal implant system system multiuse
One brand, multiple solutions.
OT Equator is the most evolved and adaptable titanium attachment for implants. Born as the evolution of the OT Cap sphere, it wants to maintain the advantages of a small dimensioned attachment. It is also available to be customized for every brand and model of implant. The flexibility of this multiuse system covers everything from overdentures to the single attachment, to the many kinds of bar and to the rehabilitation of fixed prostheses. In addition, a technique was developed for immediate loading that permits casting the framework for the prosthesis very quickly thanks to prefabricated castable components and to obtain passivity thanks to the “SEEGER ELASTIC system. Thanks to this innovative characteristic it was decided to use the OT Equator attachment in monoblock for a new series of titanium MINI - MEDIO transmucosal implants. On these fixtures with a smaller diameter it is possible to distribute the stress load more homogeneously thanks to a passive bar. The range of possibilities extends to all types of implant prostheses, assuring homogeneity in the protocol independently of the implant system.

OT Equator universal implant system SEEGER BRIDGE fixed prosthesis
The SEEGER BRIDGE fixed prosthesis can be considered as the evolution of the concept of a fixed bridge screwed onto implants, while maintaining stability and the ability to easily inspect them. The revolutionary concept of this type of prosthesis resides in the retention system, which not only relies on screws but also on an elastic element called SEEGER positioned in the undercut of the attachment. The realization of any pontic is a simple operation thanks to the calculated tolerances between the attachment and the prefabricated components used to construct it. Screwing the prosthesis into place assures a secure stability because the slightly conic connections between the OT Equator attachment and the bridge structures match perfectly to one another. The locking of these two elements is obtained thanks to a slightly elastic snap ring called SEEGER, that is interposed in the undercut of the hemisphere. The system is completed with the traditional titanium screws. With this methodology the stress load is distributed amongst several retentive components and the risk of the screws breaking or coming loose is considerably reduced. This system has the prerogative of simplifying all the phases of the technique of screwing a fixed prosthesis onto implants, whether it be loaded immediately or differed and even with a disparallelism of more than 30째. The system is presented as a universal technique thanks to the availability of the OT Equator constructed for every implant system being used today. In addition it can resolve, with incredible simplicity, cases in which different implant systems were used and it is necessary to replace a preexisting fixed overdenture prosthesis with a new one.

SEEGER BRIDGE fixed prosthesis Differed loading - immediate loading KIT 42: ASSORTMENT OF OT EQUATOR ABUTMENTS This kit is specifically conceived to answer the needs of immediate loading. It provides the surgeon and the prosthodontist with a complete assortment of attachments, ranging from 1 to 7 mm in height. The objectives of this system are to facilitate the transfer of the prosthetic platform away from the soft tissues and to reestablish a level plane for the attachments parallel to the occlusal plane. The technique using the SEEGER BRIDGE makes it easy to obtain a precise impression and a permanent bridge in a very short period of time. The KIT with the assortment of SEEGER BRIDGE OT Equator attachments is supplied upon request for every brand and type of implant being sold today. These attachments are intentionally made of grade 5 E.Li. Titanium (not coated with TiN and supplied without retention caps).

SYSTEM B CEMENTATION PROCEDURE Titanium abutment + Castable sleeve
In case of any doubt about the precision of the impression the titanium abutments can be cemented onto the cast bridge directly in the mouth of the patient. The method is similar to the one used on the model.
Finished bridge. When there are many anchorages 2-3 screws will be enough to attach the bridge. To block it on the remaining fixtures the SEEGER retaining rings are sufficient. This can be very useful for practical and aesthetic reasons if there is a considerable disparallelism and the screws could create problems.

Overdentures MINI-MEDIO transmucosal implants The MINI-MEDIO implant is a range of transmucosal implants. The shape of these implants and their diameter offer a vast surface area that considerably increases their primary retention in the bone. The external retentive shape of the OT Equator attachment stabilizes the mobile prosthesis. Using the assortment of the retention caps with various retentions and colors it’s possible to manage the retention of the mobile prostheses and adapt it to the case. The OT Equator attachment with its reduced vertical dimension does not create problems with the construction of the mobile prosthesis or with the adaptation of the old one.
Two MINI - MEDIO implants with an EQUATOR attachment.
If a removable prosthesis needs more resilience on all the OT Equator spheres one can use the elastic retention caps and the stainless steel housings from the OT Equator CAP NORMO line. The retention of the prosthesis will have the same stability, the connection will be less rigid.

SEEGER PASSIVE ELASTIC CONNECTION BAR This is a new system to gather and block a cast bar to implants in a simple and passive way, even when there is a considerable disparallelism. The actual systems utilize various techniques that tend to resolve the problems of disparallelism between the fixtures, using conic abutments either prefabricated or made in the laboratory to rigidly block the overstructure with screws. ELASTIC SEEGER is an elastic clip that wedges in the undercut at the base of the hemisphere that is joined to the MINI MEDIO implant (or an OT Equator attachment screwed onto any brand of implant). The SEEGER remains compressed between the hemisphere and the cylinder (which is part of the bar) creating a primary retention. The locking of the bar is completed with a sealing cap Titanium screw that closes the cylinder while at the same time compresses the SEEGER snap ring, which thanks to its elasticity prevents the screw from coming loose.

POST SURGERY PROTECTIVE BARRIER During the 24/48 hours that on the average pass from the time the implants are inserted to when the permanent bridge is fixed, it is recommended to protect the gingival area and the implants from trauma, particularly when eating and during the night. Even with the possibility of adapting the old prosthesis it is preferable to use a protective plate.
PROTECTIVE RESIN PLATE made in the laboratory with a space in the gingival area above the implants.
Blocking the retention caps with selfcuring resin, it is advised to protect the area with a piece of a rubber dam or glove.
Polished and finished PROTECTIVE RESIN PLATE, it is recommended to use an elastic cap with a low level of retention.
Before inserting the PROTECTIVE RESIN PLATE in the patient’s mouth, it is recommended to apply a medicine or to reline it with a medication.
Removing the PROTECTIVE RESIN PLATE after a few days, the tissues so contained will not be swollen. It will be possible to check and mount the elastic SEEGER bar.

Equator pivot in Titanium + TiN is a direct overdenture attachment for roots. Its reduced dimensions permit to stabilize mobile prosthesis even when there is limited vertical height. In the hole on the hemisphere it is possible to place a screw. In particular cases, this makes it possible to design “elastic SEEGER” connection bars between several roots or to passively connect roots with MINI - MEDIO implants in a simple and passive way.
