MARK ROSINDALE - MCIOB DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
With a long family history in the construction industry Ryan gained the perfect grounding in traditional trades, before his ambitions in business led him to found the company at the age of 20. Since then Ryan has built the business with an energetic, hands-on approach. His commitment to developing lasting relationships with clients has been a key part of Ratcliffe’s success in ensuring the long term sustainability of the company.
Mark has advised the business since 2009, having held senior positions at Totty Construction, Weaver Construction and as a Director of Strata Construction until their buyout by Mansell. He then joined Strata Homes as Commercial Director and was promoted to Managing Director. In 2016 Mark joined Ratcliffe full time, bringing a wealth of knowledge from an extensive career in housing development and main contracting. Adding strategic direction and management to the board, Mark ensures that the company is in safe hands and meets its performance targets, whist delivering value for money to all its stakeholders.
MARK FAIRCLOUGH OPERATIONS DIRECTOR With over 30 years of industry experience, Mark has held Board level positions for private and plc companies. From 1983–2007 Mark worked at Totty Construction, progressing from Quantity Surveyor, Surveying Director, Commercial Director to Divisional Managing Director where he held responsibility for their Commercial Division. His keen focus on client service and quality, together with a strong background “ in contracting, maintenance and restoration, enables him to add value across all areas of the business. Retaining great enthusiasm for the building process, Mark’s approach is built on a sound understanding of the client’s requirements.
RICHARD RATCLIFFE - BSc (Hons) COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR Prior to joining the family business in 2017, Richard worked as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for large plc companies, gaining experience across sectors including education, health and retail. Richard started his training in 2003 and graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with an honours degree in Construction Management. Richard’s open book and customer-driven approach enables him to add real value across estimating, buying and surveying.

JODIE COOK OPERATIONS SUPPORT MANAGER
Dan has 12 years of experience in the construction industry and is a very experienced project surveyor, conversant with the NEC & JCT forms of contract. He has worked on live environment projects for Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. Dan has been commercial lead/Project Manager on healthcare projects where he has been responsible for managing a small commercial team from estimating at GMP stage through to the commercial management of minor works tasks and capital projects, including the appointment and management of subcontractors.
As Operations Support Manager Jodie has extensive knowledge of the construction industry and holds the NEBOSH Certificate. Jodie ensures that all Health & Safety legislation is complied with, and maintains a safe working environment for team members. She achieves this by driving excellence through the managers to identify and drive improvements across the business.
JAY RATCLIFFE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Jay has been a key part of the business’s success since 2009. Before joining Ratcliffe on a fulltime basis in 2017, Jay worked for the UK’s largest mobile coffee franchise. Jay supported the Managing Director in growing the company from 35 franchisees to 80 franchisees across the UK over a period of 5 years. Jay is responsible for the smooth operation of head office and ensures the company delivers outstanding levels of customer service throughout the business.
PAUL WILSON - DIP.RSA, GRAD IOSH, SIIRSM SHEQ CONSULTANT Paul is a specialist in Health & Safety and quality management, and is responsible for ensuring Ratcliffe’s legal compliance with all Health and Safety legislation, quality systems and employment law.

A luxury development of detached homes each approximately 2,600 ft2. The 3-floor properties included a large open plan kitchen dining area, games room, living area, office and 4 bedrooms. The development included retaining wall basement construction, contaminated land, complex roof structures and bespoke joinery.
Part of an exclusive development of detached homes, bounded by natural woodland and a small stream. Each home was approximately 2000 ft2 in floor area, with 4 bedrooms. The scheme involved pilled foundations, deep drainage, contaminated land and a complex bridge construction.
This large detached property has approximately 4000 ft2 of living area. The property has four large bedrooms each with an en-suite and a large open plan living area with a bespoke designer kitchen. The property included several eco features including air source heating, rain water harvesting and solar panels.

This project involved extensive renovation and shop fitting works to the flagship store, including two new extensions incorporating the deli and bakery and stone restoration using traditional lime based masonry work. All work was phased to ensure the store remained trading throughout.
Fit out and completion of new council offices in Halifax including external works, fit out, bespoke furniture, stained glass ceilings, ornate cornice restoration, and oak panelled staircase restoration.
Built in the 1860s, extensive renovation works were required to the old school house, to create extra staff areas. Works involved structural alterations, the installation of an electrical DPM, roofing works, timber treatment and mechanical, electrical and data upgrades.

Dating from the early 1800’s the stone walls of Rosemount Cottage were in urgent need of repair. This restoration project included lintel replacements, the creation of helical masonry beams, crack stitching, repointing and stone repairs.
As an accredited user of Thor lateral restraint systems, Ratcliffe undertook an extensive scheme of lateral restraint and stabilisation work at Penistone Grammar School restoring the historic building which dates back to 1892.
This 1740-built grade 2 listed Georgian house required a full renovation. Ratcliffe worked with the conservation department and consultants to ensure a sympathetic restoration was achieved. The project involved structural stabilisation, lime re-pointing, lime plastering and sash window repairs.

RODGERS OF YORK
Ratcliffe were appointed for the HSBC Yorkshire and North East regions carrying out in excess of 100 projects between 2009 and 2016. The works were all in a live environment, with a mixture of reactive and planned maintenance schemes ranging from ÂŁ1k to ÂŁ350k.
Over a 4 year period Ratcliffe supported the development of HRI, working alongside main contractor on projects including the car park retaining wall, refurbishment and fire upgrade to circulation areas and structural work to the boundary walls following the demolition of a large mill.
Rodgers of York is a 70,000 ft2 furniture showroom at Monks Cross, York. An extensive maintenance programme included internal wall cladding, painting and decoration, signage and warehouse upgrades. Work was carried out in a live environment in phased sections.
