My quarantine diary of this crazy time

friday 8th may Today is VE day and we have decided to decorate the front of the house and have a lockdown garden party. I woke up excited as this is a massive day in history and our daily routine. We were able to celebrate this from a distance with our neighbours. I feel very joyful at this time considering we are in lockdown. I played with my sister and made some TIKTOK dances. saturday 9th may monday 11th may sunday 10th may 10am start for me, mum’s cooked a really good breakfast ready for a long walk in the woods. We are hoping to see some nature but instead some nasty big slow flying flies keep hitting me and dad in the face. We found a really nice camp in the woods which was a nice surprise. It’s a rush to get home in time time to listen to Boris Johnsons announcement and finally he tells us I might be able to go back to school. I thought this time would never come! Mixed with emotion me and my sister ran round the house screaming with excitement then mum drops…we will have to see make sure it’s safe! I then realised it may never happen. When will this virus go away? Today was a normal-boring day of lockdown I woke up at 9:30 thinking I have to do school work, oops no I don’t it’s Saturday! A day of relaxing for me today not much else I can do. Playing on the Xbox and talking to friends really helped this day pass. Up early to log on to do my school work which went well. I watched a bit of Disney plus and played then went for my daily run. I am really missing my football so running every day is keeping me fit and I hope to start playing for my team again. Not only am I missing playing football I’m missing seeing all of my football friends.tuesday 12th may Another day and more school work to do as any other lockdown day (most of them anyway). It is my mum’s birthday tomorrow and I was contemplating what to do. Well after a bit of discussion with my sister we came up with a plan! A plan that will make our mum proud.

My quarantine diary of this crazy time

wednesday 13th may Today was a great day because it was someones very special birthday (mum’s birthday). We had an awesome day and at the end we had made a homemade movie theatre. by kobi kenton, age 11

thursday 14th may Today was a casual day for me. Same routine but today on my daily run we did one stop which to me is quite impressive. I always clap for NHS and Key Workers on a Thursday at 8pm with my family. My Dad is a key worker so it’s important we say thank you.

leaving year 6 will go down in history for kobi, just as it will for everyone in education during 2020. read kobi’s diary and see what life for an 11 year old was like in lockdown.
