HOMEMADE HOLIDAY COOKIES

Prep this basic, freezer-friendly homemade cookie mix from scratch, then play mix-and-match with your favorite sweet or salty mix-ins any day of the year. Get the recipe below, brought to you by Crisco®.

Prep time: 15 Minutes Makes: 16 cups of mix (approximately 23 dozen cookies) INGREDIENTS 8 cups Pillsbury BEST™ All-Purpose Flour 4 cups sugar 4 teaspoons baking powder 3 teaspoons salt

2 2/3 cups Crisco® Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening OR 2 2/3 sticks Crisco® Baking Sticks Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening

DIRECTIONS Step 1 Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a very large bowl. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Step 2 Store in airtight container in freezer up to six months.
