Step 3: As you write the notes, place them on the appropriate sheet. The To Do sheet is for tasks that you are not ready to work on yet. Think of this sheet as a parking lot for your ideas and steps so you don’t forget them. The Working On sheet is for tasks that you are currently working on. At any point in time this sheet should have only a handful of sticky notes on it. This sheet is a useful way of organizing and tracking all the task you are juggling. The Done sheet is the most fun. As you complete tasks on the Working On sheet, the sticky notes are moved directly to the Done sheet.

Large companies deal with complicated projects like Sarah’s by creating a Gantt chart, a type of project scheduler that tracks all of the necessary tasks and places them on a time line that clearly indicates when steps are scheduled to begin and end.
Step 2: As you are brainstorming or thinking about the project, write each task on a separate sticky note. Be as specific as possible. It’s much better to have hundreds of notes that are accomplished more quickly than five notes that are vague and take months to accomplish. For example, Sarah has about a dozen policies that need to be reviewed and updated. Each policy should be on its own sticky note.
Now, let’s return to the world of small business where there is never one person who can devote a majority of time to managing a strategic project,

And if you discover that something you thought had to be completed is incorrect, simply remove the sticky note and toss it in the trash. Here is the wonderful thing about this system. Not only does it keep you organized with a minimal amount of time and effort, it also keeps you motivated. Are you in the middle of a large project like writing a book, creating a website, or launching a new product or service? Then give simplified planning a try. Not only will it assist you to stay on track, you will experience the joy of emptying the To Do sheet as the Done sheet fills.

Much of the Western World often forgets there is anything south of the Equator, let alone in the South Pacific. Occasionally Australia does come up, but it is rarer yet that the conversation turns to New Zealand. And this is precisely one of the country's greatest sources of strength, beauty, and intrigue.
from instinct to interaction, from laughing to landscaping. Walk into an average run-of-the-mill restaurant and, in spite of the affordable menu and charismatic wait staff, the food is a mix of rustic and gourmet; it is exotic, hometown comfort food, and it is presented immaculately.

New Zealand's capital city sits on a natural harbor with a mountain surround on the southwestern tip of the North Island. The city of 400,000 (out of the country's 4.4m--and about 40m sheep, by the way) was laden with bureaucratic connotations and socio-economic stagnancy, and the drab governmental disposition complimented the gray skies and their long, white clouds. But that has changed. The fact that state jobs have been pared back combined with the still toughen-you-up-weather stirred up
the indigenous Kiwi instincts. The city has become a hot bed for technology and finance, as well as entrepreneurial incubators, while still retaining its "coolest little capital" charm (Lonely Planet, Best in Travel 2011) and New Zealander lifestyle. It has developed a thriving arts and culture scene, and hosts more cafĂŠs per capita than New York City. Wellington has become creative and efficient, productive and cultivated without getting too big. Wellingtonians hardly get lost in the shuffle simply because there is increasingly less of that vanilla, cookie-cutter shuffle. In fact, quite the opposite is true: Wellington naturally spurs an economy of unique, personal experiences all working together, as if it were training for the championship bout where, collectively as long-time underdog, they might deliver the knockout punch.

After almost two years of meticulous preservation and renovation of the historic Mount Vernon Hotel building, the Two Rivers Brewing Company opened its first floor doors, with the second of four recently finished and now being used. The structure and location were once pivotal grounds during the hotel's times--and they are today, albeit in a different context. While the history lesson is served up best by a walking oral history tour from the owners, the present day gateway is easily observed: Two Rivers sits atop the 6th Street peak of Northampton Street that delineates Downtown to the its East and West Ward to its West, and in so doing helps connect the two neighborhoods. The restaurant/soon-to-be microbrewery also helps to revitalize the regional marketplace, featuring various nearby artisanal brew houses for their beer and utilizing fresh locally sourced ingredients for their cuisine, most notably the immediately popular duck fat fries.
