MEMBERSHIP GUIDE

The Next Level EWU Athletics has experienced incredible growth since winning its first FCS National Championship. Our student-athletes have excelled on the playing field, in the classroom and throughout our community. This would not be possible without the generous support of our alumni, fans and friends. Through our tremendous success the EAA (Eagle Athletic Association) was renamed the EAF (Eagle Athletic Fund), as announced in August 2014. In an effort to take the EAF to the next level, we proudly introduced the implementation of a priority point system that will ensure exclusivity and integrity in benefit administration. From all the success that our student-athletes have brought to Eastern Washington, the demands for member benefits continue to grow. We want to honor our supporters in the best possible way. EWU Athletics wants to ensure proper value of benefits to our current and future members. We hope our supporters are excited to be part of the EAF and help keep our student-athletes competitive at the highest levels possible. Please find information about the priority point system, member benefits and important dates throughout this brochure. Thank you for your loyal support of our student-athletes. GO EAGS!

Member Impact Make an immediate impact on the daily lives of more than 300 student-athletes by participating as an annual member of the Eagle Athletic Fund. EWU Athletics relies on annual contributions of members of the EAF to offset the cost of studentathlete scholarships, build and maintain first-class facilities and fund 14 varsity sport programs. Eastern Washington University student-athletes are provided an opportunity afforded to a select few. As a member of the EAF, you can rest assured your support plays a critical role in their success athletically and academically. There is no better way to show your Eagle Pride than to become a member of the EAF, the team behind the teams!

The EWU Eagle Athletic Fund implemented a priority point system to create a fair and equitable process for handling benefit distribution to its members. The intent of our system is to reward loyalty and support, while enabling new donors to acquire appropriate benefits in recognition of their financial support of EWU’s student-athletes. Members meeting the minimum required donation to retain current seat and parking locations will be able to do so. Priority points are used to determine priority when allocating seat assignments at home, away, neutral and post season games, parking and seating improvements. Requests will be considered first by current annual giving level (membership level) and then by cumulative priority points. Below are two examples of how priority consideration works:

Example A: Jane Smith and John Brown have both requested to move the location of their football season tickets. Jane is a Silver Eagle EAF member ($1,200+) and has a total of 20,000 points. John is a Golden Eagle EAF member ($2,000+) and has a total of 10,000 points. John Brown’s request would be addressed first.

Example B: Dan Johnson and Ann Williams have both requested to move the location of their men’s basketball season tickets. Dan and Ann are both Bronze Eagle EAF members ($600+). Dan has 15,000 points and Ann has 25,000 points. Ann Williams’ request would be addressed first.

Example B: John Brown has four football season tickets in the Premium Chairback section and an assigned RV/Tailgate pass in P12S. He would also like to request to purchase two single car season parking passes.

Q: What would he need to donate to be eligible to renew his football tickets and RV/ Tailgate pass and request to purchase two single car season parking passes?

A: John would need to donate a minimum of $480 to EWU Athletics. Explanation: $120 (Premium Chairback minimum donation) x 4 (total Premium Chairback tickets) = $480 The minimum donation for an assigned RV/Tailgate pass is $300 and to be eligible to request to purchase two single car season parking passes is $120. Because minimum donation requirements are not cumulative the highest required donation, in this case the $480 to renew four Premium Chairback football season tickets, is the minimum required donation to be eligible to renew/request the desired benefits.

Your annual gift is applicable to all eligible benefits. In other words, minimum donation requirements are not cumulative and are considered independent of each other. Requests for new, moved or additional assigned benefits such as parking and seating are addressed first by membership level and then by cumulative priority points. We cannot guarantee assignment of specific requests but will do our best based on the inventory available when we reach your request in priority order. Members meeting the minimum required donation to retain current seat and parking locations will be able to do so. See page 4 for more information about priority points and examples of how requests are addressed. See page 5 for two examples of eligible benefits based strictly on annual giving amounts.
