Editor's Letter Being in the fashion industry I realize that one thing is becoming more clear to me...Men want to look good but most do not follow fashion like women. Alot of men do have fashion sense. They can throw together some amazing fashionable outfits, but alot of men are dressed by their wives or girlfriends. There is that famous question a man may hear as he gets ready to walk out the door to dinner or a party....”Is that what you are going to wear?” I will say that men are getting more in tune with dressing in the latest fashion and I think with society today the man has so many more options to choose from. COLOR is everywhere...neckties, shirts, pants, jackets, socks and even shoes have all come along way in the world of fashion. So men this issue is for you! Think outside of the box and have some fun keeping your style and enjoy being creative.
Show the World your Colors! God Bless You Kymberly Soule’ So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Dressing Sharp Day to Day These days, men are taking more time to work on their appearance. From manscaping to metrosexualism, our vocabulary is growing as we coin new terms for today’s men. Not only is it important to look great when hitting the town or attending a business conference, men now are taking pride in their every day appearance. With the help of our stylish male colleagues, we have a few tips to help you (or your man) dress better on the daily! Remember, FASHION, even men’s, is a way to show the world who you are!
Adding a simple accessory like a watch or leather cuff can turn your entire look around. Don’t tuck in casual shirts! But always tuck in dress shirts...or else you’ll look as if you’re wearing, well, a dress. Experiment with colors and patterns, and don’t be afraid of color! Wear what makes you feel great, and break out of your box every now and then.
Cardinal Rule: Always match your shoes to your belt!
A smoldering look to top off a great outfit never hurt anyone!
The Perfect Everyday Look Wearing a simple v-neck shirt and jeans can be a great daily look. Stay away from the deep-V’s! Keep the bottom of the V no lower than 2-3 inches below your collar bone. Most men wear jeans that are too large or too tight. If you can comfortably fit two fingers between your hip and the waistband, you’ve found the right size! When testing the length, make sure the bottom slightly covers the tops of your shoes, as Andre’ shows us in this picture. Go for darker washes and a straight-leg cut, as they tend to flatter more.

Finishing your look with a nice pair of sneakers is a sure way to go, but don’t limit yourself! Every man should own a casual pair of shoes, sneakers, black dress shoes, brown dress shoes, and a pair of boots. Wearing fun socks that compliment your outfit is in style today, as well! White socks are best worn when going to the gym or doing something athletic. Shirt, Express, $23. Jeans, Buckle, $75. Shoes, Puma, $65
Your fashion is all about YOU doing YOU! “Why dress up on the daily? Because you never know when you’ll run into Mila Kunis!” -Justin Pace

The After 5 Man

After 5 Attire Looking for decent ideas for after five attire? After a hard day's work, we all want to have some fun, get refreshed or take care of our personal and professional commitments. Some of us head out to parties, others head out to attend important functions and some of us go out for company meetings. Dressing up nicely is extremely important for any function. Your after five apparel should complement the theme of the function. You have to be impeccably dressed, as they say clothes make a man. An after five wear or attire is often the apparel you choose to wear for a formal or casual function. The professional clothes which you wear from nine to five is called your work clothing and the attire for example, a cocktail suit which you choose to wear for an important casual or formal function is called an after five or a cocktail attire The usual after five choice for men is the evergreen formal black suit. Ensure that you get a good tie for this black suit. In some cases a tie may be optional, but take my advice if you want to turn some heads around, wear a tie that complements your suit. The suit's color should always be decided according to the season. In winter, black is the all-time favorite while on hot days light colors are preferred. The choice of fabric also depends on the season. If it's hot, a light fabric such as linen would be ideal while in cold seasons a heavier fabric like wool would be a smart choice. To play safe, most of us opt for vintage silk ties; they are classy and define men's formal fashion. If you are attending a casual function, like a cocktail party (indoor/outdoor) or a wedding reception, you can drop the suit and wear a nice jacket with or without a tie. Always wear a well-ironed, good pair of pants and please avoid jeans, not even clean black jeans. Jeans are never bad, but if you are attending a function or a party make sure your dress suits the theme, because an after five dress code is always specified in these functions and you should adhere to this dress code.

Top 5 Men's Casual Tips Most men would be comfortable in a T-shirt and their favorite pair of jeans, but with a few style tips, you can take your jeans-and-tee look up a notch. Read on to learn how to make your casual wardrobe get noticed. From trendy to classic, you can make an impression by adding these men's fashions to your look.
Casual Style Tips: 1. Make it fit: No matter what you wear, it won't look good if it doesn't fit correctly. A well-fitting
pair of jeans is the basis for a casual wardrobe, and shirts that aren't too large or too tight can make a big difference in your look. Use our men's measurements guide to help you find the right fit; then focus on finding clothing that flatters, like flat-front pants and slim-fit suits.
2. Don't be afraid of color: In general, you'll want to keep your look simple and clean. This
doesn't mean, however, that you have to banish bright colors from your wardrobe. Color catches the eye and creates a focal point for your outfit. Create a look based on a classic hue, like red or navy blue, or go for something a little brighter, like orange or lime green. The key is to choose one bright color and keep the rest of your outfit based in neutrals.
4. Incorporate classics: Modern and edgy is fun, but make sure you have some classics in
your closet to keep your wardrobe from getting stuck in a short-lived trend. A pair of clean, flat-front khakis is a classic wardrobe basic and so is a casual button-down, which you can layer over your trendier graphic tee. You may also want to add a classic ribbed sweater to your clothing, and shop for a few outerwear basics, like a wool pea coat.
5. Experiment a little: A bland wardrobe won't get you noticed, so feel free to experiment with your clothing choices. Try a brightly colored shirt under a jacket or even try mixing patterns with a graphic tee layered under a printed jacket or plaid shirt. If there's a style you like but haven't tried, consider mixing a few pieces into your wardrobe to see if they suit you.
6. Reinvent casual: It's easy to just think of jeans and a T-shirt when you hear the word
"casual," but if you think beyond the basics, you'll have a much more impressive and extensive casual wardrobe. If you're heading out for dinner or a night at the bar, consider wearing a sports jacket with a slim cut to give your casual look a dressed-up, modern appeal. Similarly, ties aren't just for the office; they also look great worn loosely with a button-down and jeans. Incorporate more of your clothes into your casual look.

5 Rules Of Fast Fat Loss 1. Burn More Calories Than You Eat
Weight loss is simple: if you burn more calories than you consume, you’ll drop pounds. But too many guys still underestimate how much they eat and overestimate how many calories they burn. Avoid the guesswork and keep a food journal for a week. Count up exactly how many calories you’re averaging. You may be surprised. Now start eating 500 fewer calories per day—that’s about the amount in one meal. Of course, we’re not saying to cut out dinner. But cut back on your portion sizes and limit your carbs. Any junk or processed food you’re eating should be the first to go.
2. Eat More Protein
Of all the foods you eat, the high-protein ones are the most important for losing fat. First, they keep you feeling full, which prevents overeating and needless snacking. Second, they boost your calorie burn throughout the day because protein takes more energy to digest than carbs or fat. Third, when accompanied with weight training, a high-protein diet prevents muscle loss that might otherwise happen when you suddenly cut calories. Eat at least one gram of protein per pound of your body weight and get your protein from whole sources like lean meats, eggs, fish, and protein powders.
3. Eat More Healthy Fats
Fat in foods doesn’t necessarily add up to fat around your waistline. Animal fats, real butter, coconut oil, nuts, and avocados help reduce hunger and maintain optimal testosterone production. Without enough fats, your results will decline (and so will your libido). Eat more healthy fats and cut back on carbs, which can spike blood sugar and elevate your insulin levels, leading to more fat storage. Get at least 25% of your calories from good sources of fat and avoid artificial trans fats, which have been linked to numerous health problems like heart disease.
4. Get Stronger
Many people still think the key to fat loss is cardio. And while cardio can help you burn a few calories, it does nothing to develop the muscles underneath your fat (the ones you want to reveal in the first place). Too much cardio along with a caloric deficit can also cause you to lose muscle and make you weaker. Even when your goal is to be smaller, you still need to lift heavy and build strength. Heavy weights help you maintain and even add muscle mass, improving your body composition. Each week, train using big exercises like squats, deadlifts, and presses for sets of 4–8 reps.
5. Get At Least 7 Hours of Sleep A Night
Cutting back on sleep increases levels of cortisol, a stress hormone, which causes fat storage. In a study of more than 6,000 participants, Japanese researchers found that shorter amounts of sleep were associated with higher BMI levels and larger waistlines in men. Sleep deprivation also interferes with recovery and growth hormone production. Get at least seven hours of uninterrupted sleep every night. If you have trouble sleeping, stop drinking caffeine after mid-day, limit your alcohol consumption (which ruins sleep quality), and create a pre-bed ritual to get your mind and body ready for sleep. www.mensfitness.com

Meet the Band
by: Tambra Carter
Q. Who are the members in your band?
A. The band consist of myself on stage "Ricky" and my two sons, "Cody” and "Evan". Also on stage is one of my best friends "Natoshia" and "Justin", aka the new guy. Also my brother "Mark", is off stage but is my business partner in the band. He also works along with his son “Sean” in what we call “front of house” which includes sound, lights and production. So as you can see, it's become a family affair. We are a dysfunctional Partridge Family. Hahaha! So what do you get when you mix a dad, two sons, a best friend and a complete stranger? Rumor Mill!
Q. How did your band get it’s name?
A. The name Rumor Mill came about one day as a friend was using the term "to refer to the process by which rumors and gossip are originated and circulated among a group of people". It seemed fitting as people are always quick to "Spread the Rumor".
Q. When and why did you start playing together?
A. Rumor Mill was formed in 2005 by Ricky as the house band for the popular Capt'n Fun Beach Club located on Pensacola Beach, Florida. Although it has gone through many changes over the last 9 years the band has always remained at the forefront of the party music scene.
Q. Is your family musical?
A. Yes, we all come from a musical background. Ricky and Mark grew up performing music together as kids which lead to Cody and Evan growing up watching their dad (Ricky) perform music in restaurants and venues around Pensacola, Florida. Meanwhile Natoshia and Justin grew up performing in the church with their families.
Q. Which famous musicians do you admire? Why?
A. Our musical interest range from 80's pop and rock to today's current pop, rock, and modern country. If you attend a Rumor Mill show you are going to hear favorites from Journey, Bruno Mars, Fleetwood Mac, Taylor Swift, Michael Jackson, Luke Bryan, Rihanna, etc……we are all over the place!
Q. Describe your favorite concert.
A. Our personal favorite/biggest show that comes to mind would be in 2009 at the New Orleans Superdome for Monday Night Football game X Saints vs Patriots. Both teams were undefeated and we performed for an estimated 15,000-20,000 people.
Q. Where do you perform? Describe those occasions? Concerts, radio, TV? A. The majority of our show dates have taking place in clubs and venues from Georgia to Texas and from Key West up to Ohio. We also perform in Alaska which is were we just came back from and have occasionally done shows for local TV in the Gulf Coast area.
Q. What advice would you give to beginners who are nervous?
A. Just keep at it the more you perform the easier it gets. I can clearly remember my first years of performing and I was a nervous wreck.
Q. Do you write your own music?
A. We all individually write and record our own music as we come from a vast background of musical taste. Justin has his own original music available and Cody and Evan have their original band’s music available as well. Although Rumor Mill in the past has recorded and performed original music together, there are no plans for the current lineup to record together. But never say never!
Q. How do you balance your music with other obligations, mate, children and day job?
A. We keep a well balanced family life as we do have down time usually early in the week which allows us to catch up with family and friends. Also since 5 of us are related and work and travel together we as a family get to spend plenty of time together which has made us all very close. I am glad to be spreading the rumor of this great band Rumor Mill! You can follow them on Facebook or check out their web page for their tour dates and live video at www.rumormillband.com/tour.html.

Four ways to wear a
T-shirt
1. One for the Road The edgy look of a black leather racing jacket has been embraced by everyone from James Dean to George Clooney, but zipped open and paired with a tee, you can bring the style and intensity of the road to any occasion.
2. Do it with Denim Sometimes putting a classic together with another classic can be dangerous, but when you’re talking about your favorite tee and pair of jeans, the look is a perfect tribute to timeless cool that never goes out of style.
3. Layered Up and Buttoned Down If you’re going for a more laid back look, a tee not only looks great under a broken-in chambray, it also gives you an extra layer for warmth when the fall settles in.
4. Perfectly Suited Whether you are headed out for dinner, a night on the town or both, swapping a button down for a t-shirt under your favorite suit gives off an effortlessly cool vibe that can carry you through the night no matter where you go.

Meet Gary Englade of Legacy Bar & Gril I am married to my awesome wife Phyllis for the past six years. We have four children- Taylor, Jackson, Sierra, and Aiden. I have been in the restaurant business for 32 years starting as a dishwasher and a busboy at a local restaurant named Sal and Sam's in Metairie, LA. It was an Italian specialty restaurant owned by an Italian immigrant, Sal Saia. He was bigger than life and he was most certainly an integral part of the guest experience. It was definitely the place where I came to understand the importance of building relationships and creating memories for each guest. It also was the place I realized that the dining experience was much more than just the food to be the best. You see, food can not make service better, but service can make food better. I moved to Mobile in 1998 where I was hired as the General Manager of Ruth's Chris Mobile. Our team practiced the same basic principles of treating the guests the way you would want to be treated. We paid particular attention to details and turned a failing business into the largest growing Ruth’s Chris in the world for 5 consecutive years in sales. I was promoted to Vice President of Operations and opened Felix's Fish Camp in 2002 and grew the business 200% in 3 years with the same philosophy. I also spent 2 years with Camellia Cafe in Fairhope. I was blessed with the opportunity to have meet Billy Cox and partner with him at Legacy in August of 2012. We have hired a team of 25 staff who care about their guests and obsess about being the very best in their field. We pride ourselves with the freshest food on the Gulf Coast. We feature fresh Gulf Seafood, hand cut USDA Steaks, Fish Almondine, Crab Spring Rolls, entrees made from scratch and our homemade Caesar salad dressing. We even have a 20 x 50 organic garden right outside our kitchen door. Our dining area is warm, comfortable and inviting with pictures of old Mobile all over the walls signifying the Bay area’s “Legacy”. A beautiful courtyard is available for dining plus we have private dining areas for any special occasion from 4-200 guests. We are committed to being actively involved in our community. This past year we partnered with the Leukemia-Lymphoma Organization, St Jude’s, The American Diabetes Association, Celebrate Hope for Cancer research with the Mitchell Center and Claire's Hope. My goal is to have a second restaurant in Fairhope AL, happy marriage, family healthy and safe, and a closer relationship with our Lord and Savior. Legacy was voted a Nappie Award winner in 2013 as the Best New Restaurant. We feature local live entertainment showcasing some of the area’s best local talent such as Eric Erdman, Ryan Balthrop, Brent Loper, Holly Mosley and Ben Jernigan. Nightly beverage specials make us Mobile’s Best Happy Hour! Legacy Bar & Grill is located in Legacy Village on Dauphin Street near I-65.
