MASSIMO CUGUSI Massimo Cugusi is serving as Director at the IED (Istituto Europeo di Design), Cagliari. Prior to this assignment he has held several senior management positions with consulting firms, trade associations and development agencies. An experienced professional in the field of internationalization of SMEs, Massimo serves also as Secretary General of both the American Alumni Association of Italy and the European Network of Alumni Associations and Honorary Consul of Lithuania.
GRID THOMA Grid Thoma (Ph.D. in Economics and Management at Sant’Anna School, Pisa) is Assistant Professor of Economics and Management at the University of Camerino, Macerata, Italy. He is also Research Fellow at KITES-CESPRI, Bocconi University, Milan, Italy and Member of the - European Network for Intellectual Property. His research interests include innovation, finance and entrepreneurship in high tech industries, technology diffusion and agglomeration. Grid is author of several works published in Annales des Economique et Statistique, European Management Review, Industrial and Corporate Change, Research Policy and others. His research activities has benefitted of grants from European Commission, EuropeanScience Foundation, Italian Government, Kauffman Foundation, National Science Foundation, OECD and others.
