An Amazing underground Christmas adventure A young boy discovers a baby polar bear and decides to keep it as a pet; the bear soon becomes a bigger problem than he imagined. From Saturday 1st December until Christmas Eve, Children see Santa in his real underground grotto, choose a present, then follow delightful displays telling the enchanting story of ‘The Very Hungry Polar Bear’ created through nine impressive caverns. The Enchanted Christmas at Westonbirt Arboretum A spectacular illuminated trail, crafts, gifts and festive family fun will greet visitors to the Enchanted Christmas at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum this year. The famous event will return to the Forestry Commission’s National Arboretum, near Tetbury in Gloucestershire every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 30 November to 23 December from 5-8.30pm. The one mile accessible trail highlights the striking structures of Westonbirt’s trees as they are illuminated against the night sky. A new route is created each year to take in different specimens, paths and vistas in the magnificent tree collection. The Learning Centre will also be transformed with snow and Christmas decorations to become a wintry delight! Children can make festive crafts with Westonbirt’s learning team every evening. Donner and Blitzen at the Cotswold Wildlife Park! From 15 - 24 December, Santa will be making an appearance in his Grotto in the Gift Shop. He has very kindly loaned ‘Donner and Blitzen’, so they’ll be walking around the Park getting fit for the big day! The Farmyard at the Cotswold Wildlife Park will have its own Nativity scene with real animals and the Penguin talk and feed will also have a special festive flavour. Why not take a ride on the train (weather permitting) with a Christmas train tunnel. On 15 December there’s a Craft Fair at the Park in the Brass Rubbing Room of the Manor House.
