SDCCU NORTH PARKFESTIVAL OF ARTS & MUSIC All new this year, the SDCCU North Park Festival of Arts and Music will include a free, 21+ Kick-Off Party on Friday, May 8th, featuing Mike Hess Brewing. The party will take place from 6pm to 11pm along 30th and University Avenue. Don’t miss a full concert series, local craft beer and cocktails, food and more! On the following day, May 9th, the all-day festival will take place from 11am to 7pm. Saturday’s event is free and open to all ages and will include art from local artists, live performances, craft beer and cocktails, food trucks, artisan items for sale and so much more.

SPRING FORWARD 10 THINGS YOU CAN DO WITH YOUR EXTRA HOUR IN NORTH PARK On Sunday, March 8th, our clocks will be springing forward an hour for daylight savings. To celebrate the time change, here are 10 Spring activities you can do with your extra hour in North Park.

EASTER TABLE It’s never too early to get started on planning your Easter Sunday! Home & Hound has a great selection of homeware and decor to create the perfect holiday ambiance for hosting. WHERE TO EAT WITH KIDS North Park is the perfect place to spend quality time with your family. With so many restaurants and activities to choose from, you’ll be able to find something for everyone, including the kiddos. Try Waypoint Public, a trendy restaurant with a special kid’s play area to keep your little ones entertained while you enjoy brunch (and some drinks). They also have family movie nights throughout the month! Working Class has a spacious back patio area with large games, including Connect Four, for your kids (and dogs!) to play around in while you enjoy a happy hour beer. If you’re looking for a fun activity to do with your kids, make sure to check out the Art Produce event calendar! Every month they offer a new activity to do with your kids.

SPRING MARKET FINDS THURSDAY MARKET Shop for the best in-season produce at our weekly North Park Thursday Market! Our vendors are local to San Diego and provide the freshest fruits and vegetables for our farmers market shoppers. This Spring, look for in-season vegetables like asparagus, artichokes and broccoli. Fruits that will be in season are kiwis and oranges. Shopping at the farmers market gives you the perfect excuse to try a new recipe with in-season produce! Every Thursday on North Park Way x 30th St. from 3pm to 7:30pm you’ll find our California Certified Farmers Market filled with local farmers, prepared foods & local artisans, all set to a DJ or live music! KATHERINE HON Katherine Hon is a local author who has lived in North Park for the past 30+ years. Her deep ties to the neighborhood have inspired her writing, with many historical features in the Uptown News, and even our own Explore North Park magazine! SPRING MENU: COCKTAIL ROUND UP We can’t wait to try brand new Spring menus this March in North Park! West Coast Tavern and Bivouac Cider will be debuting new seasonal menus at the end of the month. Oranges are in season this Spring which will be sure to provide a citrus twist to cocktails. Siamo Napoli creates a brand new farmers market cocktail special every Thursday, using ingredients found at the market. Make sure to stop by for a nightcap after strolling through the Thursday Market in North Park!

PARKING + GETTING TO NORTH PARK PARKING The North Park Garage on 29th St. offers 386 spaces ready for use 24/7. At just $1/hour during the day and $5 after 6pm, it’s one of the best values in the area. From the rooftop you can enjoy a birds-eye view of the mid-city and on a clear day, even a glimpse of the city skyline. WALKING North Park is an easily walkable neighborhood, with the main action residing at the University Ave. and 30th St. cross street. Head north or south for only a mile to reach all of the exciting businesses we have to offer! DRIVING There’s no hassle parking at the 29th St. parking garage, which is only $1 per hour during the day, with plenty of additional street parking. If you’re heading over a short way from the Lafayette, an Uber/Lyft is a less than 5 min. drive!
