“As an Asian American I always struggled to find a place to fit in. There was so much pressure to be a model minority and fitting the status quo of what it meant to be an Asian. Too bad I can’t fit all of it. I’m my own person with my own flaws and good sides. I’ve come to realize I don’t have to fit into a box I’m whoever I strive to be. That was the hardest part, figuring out who I am especially within this White American majority culture.”
