How did escapees from Alcatraz make do without 3D printing?
Einstein had no plans to hoof it through Pennsylvania snowstorm
Decades after a notorious escape from Alcatraz Island prison in San Francisco, the FBI has created replicas of decoy heads that inmates used to fool guards. Officials at Alcatraz, which was converted into a tourist attraction, unveiled 3D-printed copies of the decoys that three inmates made with soap, plaster and human hair. The inmates placed the decoys in their beds one night in 1962 and climbed through a wall. They were never caught. (AP)
The winter storm that swept across Pennsylvania on Thursday left a camel stranded along snowy Route 309 about 40 miles north of Philadelphia. A group called Jewish Philly said it owned the camel, named Einstein. He was on his way to the group’s event in Philadelphia when the trailer he was traveling in got stuck. After he stood next to the trailer for a while, his handlers canceled his gig and he made it safely home to his petting zoo. (AP)

Dan Jones, Cava’s chief operating officer, said in a statement: “We sincerely apologize for this incident as it does not live up to the quality or the standards we want and will be working with our team members to reinforce our standards to ensure this does not happen in the future. Stahl and Lyford left the restaurant with the frog, now partially covered in tzatziki sauce, still in their custody. They pondered what to do with it, and settled on giving the frog another shot at life. They took the salad container to a wooded area behind their apartment building, then let the frog go. They acknowledged it had a rough road ahead in the frigid weather. The couple is finally able to start joking about the incident. Lyford said that this wouldn’t have happened if Stahl had ordered a sandwich. MICHAEL S. ROSENWALD (THE WASHINGTON POST)

A rare, two-headed snake that was found a few months ago in Virginia has died. The copperhead was about 2 or 3 weeks old when it was found in a yard in Woodbridge, Va., in September. National Cemetery would soon be renamed “Kindle Shores.” No official steps have ever been taken to rename the region, and local officials have made clear they have no intention of trying to rename Crystal City or any other neighborhood. Christina Winn, director of business investment for Arlington Economic Development, said officials never imagined “there would be so much conversation” about the concept. Winn said there’s no intention to supplant or override the name of Crystal City. Still, she said, if Arlington and Alexandria team up on another economic development pitch in the future, she said that the moniker might be revived. “It worked once,” she said.
D.C.’s Mount Vernon Square area is in the running to be the home of the proposed high-speed maglev train that would take passengers from the nation’s capital to Baltimore in 15 minutes. Project officials have settled on putting the maglev station in the trendy Northwest neighborhood that was once known for its rundown parking lots but now is a popular destination with condos, shopping and restaurants. The 40-mile “superconducting magnetic levitation train system,” commonly called a maglev, is planned as the first leg of a system that would carry passengers from D.C. to New York in an hour. In Baltimore, project officials have yet to settle on having the maglev station in the Inner Harbor or in an area of South Baltimore that is slated for development.

Amazon announced last week that it was coming to National Landing, a place that previously didn’t exist.
‘National Landing’ name brings jokes, confusion Amazon’s rebranding in NoVa leads to ribbing by bemused locals CRYSTAL CITY Place names in Arlington County have never been a simple matter. A major fight broke out when National Airport was named for Ronald Reagan in 1998. A fight continues over whether to name a park next to the airport after Nancy Reagan. And in the 1920s, the Postal Service refused to establish a post office in Arlington because the street names were so confusing and haphazard. So it is fitting that as Arlington officials celebrated Amazon’s decision to locate a new headquarters in the area, there was a bit of confusion over the place name. Amazon announced Tuesday

that it was coming to National Landing, a place people had not heard of because it doesn’t exist. Economic development officials who were wooing the online retail giant came up with the name as a way to describe the multiple neighborhoods that were being offered as a site. Those neighborhoods — Crystal City and Pentagon City in Arlington County, and Potomac Yard in the city of Alexandria — span multiple jurisdictions, so the name allowed Alexandria and Arlington to work cooperatively without marketing one locality over another. Some people have confused it with National Harbor, a new development in Maryland. Comedian Remy Munasifi, who made his name poking fun at Arlington, suggested that Arlington

local Gift to school will make admissions process ‘forever need-blind’ BALTIMORE Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Sunday he is giving a record $1.8 billion to Johns Hopkins University to support student financial aid at his alma mater and make its admissions process “forever need-blind.” The gift, believed to be the largest private donation in modern times to higher education, is a landmark in a growing national
movement to make elite universities more accessible. It will enable the private research university in Baltimore to eliminate loans from financial aid packages for incoming students starting next fall, expand grants for those in financial need and even provide relief to many current undergraduates who had previously taken out federal loans to pay their bills. In years past, Hopkins President Ronald Daniels said, the university struggled to achieve its goal of welcoming all talented students regardless of their

TIJUANA, MEXICO Many of the nearly 3,000 Central American migrants who have reached the Mexico border with California via caravan said Saturday they do not feel welcome in the city of Tijuana, where hundreds more migrants are headed after more than a month on the road. The vast majority were camped at an outdoor sports complex, sleeping on a dirt baseball field and under bleachers with a view of the steel walls topped by barbed wire at the newly reinforced U.S.-Mexico border. The city opened the complex after other shelters were filled to capacity. Church groups provided portable showers, bathrooms and sinks. The federal government estimates the migrant crowd in Tijuana could soon swell to 10,000. Tijuana Mayor Juan Manuel Gastelum has called the migrants’ arrival an “avalanche” that the city is ill-prepared to handle, calculating that they will be in Tijuana for at least six months as they wait to file asylum claims. U.S. border inspectors are processing about 100 asylum claims per day at the main crossing to San Diego. While many in Tijuana are sympathetic to the migrants’

plight, some locals have shouted insults, hurled rocks and even thrown punches at the migrants. It’s a stark contrast to the many Mexican communities that welcomed the caravan with signs, music and donations of clothing after it entered southern Mexico nearly a month ago. Alden Rivera, the Honduran ambassador in Mexico, visited the sports complex Saturday. He expected the migrant numbers in Tijuana to reach 3,400 over the weekend, with another 1,200 migrants having made it to Mexicali, a border city a few hours east of Tijuana. An additional 1,500 migrants might reach the U.S. border region next week. Rivera said 1,800 Hondurans have returned to their country
since Oct. 13. The Mexican Interior Ministry said Friday that 2,697 Central American migrants have requested asylum in Mexico. Carlos Padilla, 57, from Progreso, Honduras, said a Tijuana resident shouted, “Migrants are pigs” as he passed on the street recently. Padilla did not respond. “We didn’t come here to cause problems, we came here with love and with the intention to ask for asylum,” Padilla said. “But they treat us like animals here.” Tijuana police officer Victor Coronel wondered how much more the city can take. “The only thing we can do is hope that President Trump opens his heart a little,” Coronel said. An archaeological dig has rekindled a feud between two towns over which was the first in Connecticut. Experts have unearthed artifacts they believe date to the 1630s in Wethersfield, where town signs declare it the state’s “most ancient,” founded in 1634. But a few miles up the Connecticut River, Windsor boasts it is the state’s “first town,” settled in 1633. Scientists at the Wethersfield site say they found the earliest evidence of European settlement in the state, including a fence believed to be from the 1600s and built to defend against Native Americans, and coins and ceramics from the 1630s. The pro-Windsor camp says the find makes no difference, and points to written records including settlers’ diaries as favoring Windsor. (AP)

Trump won’t hear tape WASHINGTON President Trump said there is no reason for him to listen to a recording of the “very violent, very vicious” killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, a death that has put the president in a diplomatic bind: how to admonish Riyadh for the slaying yet maintain strong ties with a close ally. Trump, in an interview that aired Sunday, made clear that the audio recording, supplied by the Turkish government, would not affect his response to the Oct. 2 killing of Khashoggi, a columnist for The Washington Post who had been critical of the Saudi royal family. “It’s a suffering tape, it’s a terrible tape. I’ve been fully briefed on it, there’s no reason for me to hear it,” Trump said in the interview with “Fox News Sunday.” On Saturday, Trump said his administration will “be having a very full report over the next two days, probably Monday or Tuesday.” He said the report

will include “who did it.” It was unclear if the report would be made public. U.S. intelligence agencies have concluded that Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, ordered the killing in the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul, according to a U.S. official familiar with the assessment. The official was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.
Turning on the prince Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., a Trump ally who is in line to be the next chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, called the Saudi crown prince a “wrecking ball” in the relationship between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia. “I hate to say that because I had a lot of hope for him being the reformer that Saudi Arabia needs, but that ship has sailed,” he told NBC’s “Meet the Press.” (AP)
Others familiar with the case caution that while it’s likely the crown prince was involved in the death, there continue to be questions about what role he played. Trump noted to “Fox News Sunday” that the crown prince has repeatedly denied being involved in the killing inside the Saudi Consulate. “Will anybody really know?” Trump asked. “At the same time, we do have an ally, and I want to stick with an ally that in many ways has been very good.” A Republican member of the Senate intelligence committee said that so far, there is no “smoking gun” linking the crown prince to the killing. Sen. Roy Blunt of Missouri, who has received a confidential intelligence briefing on the matter, told ABC that “it’s hard to imagine” that the crown prince didn’t know about the killing, but he said, “I don’t know that we absolutely know that yet.” He said Congress will await the Trump administration’s report in the next two days and that the U.S. will need to be clear about the ramifications of sanctions, given Saudi Arabia’s strategic role in the Middle East. Although results of the race are not due to be certified until Tuesday, Nelson said in remarks posted on Twitter that things had worked out “a little differently” from the way he and his wife had hoped. He also called for bipartisanship in an era of brutally divisive politics. “We have to move beyond a politics that aims not just to defeat but to destroy,” he said. Scott’s victory boosts the Republican Senate majority to 52, with a final seat in Mississippi due to be decided in a Nov. 27 runoff. Going into the recount, Nelson trailed Scott by more than 12,000 votes, and his campaign had hoped a re-examination of ballots would help him close the gap. But when the recount ended at midday Sunday, Scott still led Nelson by 10,033 votes out of more than 8 million cast, according to the Florida Division of Elections. Scott’s razor-thin victory leaves Florida, the nation’s thirdmost-populous state, with two Republican senators for the first time since the Reconstruction era immediately after the Civil War. Fires’ death toll rises to 76 as search goes on for over 1,000 missing

CHICO, CALIF. Searchers combing a Northern California town leveled by a deadly wildfire stepped up their efforts Sunday ahead of rains forecast later this week in the fire zone where 76 bodies have been recovered so far. The rain would help tamp down the blaze, but it could also turn the area into a muddy mess and hinder efforts to find the remains of more victims in the town of Paradise. “Any time you add a new element — rain, wind, all those kinds of things — you start disturbing things, spreading things around,” Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea said Saturday. “As much as I wish that we could get through all of this before the rains come, I don’t know if that’s possible.” Officials said late Saturday that 1,300 names remained on a list of people who were unaccounted for more than a week after the fire began in Butte County. Authorities stressed that the long roster does not mean they believe all those on the list are missing or dead. Honea asked evacuees to review the list of those reported as unreachable by family and friends and to call the department if they know someone on the list is safe. Deputies have located hundreds of people to date, but the

overall number keeps growing because they are adding more names, including those from the chaotic early hours of the disaster, Honea said. He said it was within the “realm of possibility” that officials would never know the exact death toll from the blaze. Hundreds of search and recovery personnel from around the state are performing a “door-todoor” and “car-to-car” search of some areas, said Joe Moses, a commander with the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, who is helping oversee the search and rescue effort. “Here we’re looking for very small parts and pieces, and so we have to be very diligent and systematic in how we do your
searches,” he said Friday. The remains of five more people were found Saturday, including four in Paradise and one in nearby Concow, bringing the number of dead to 76. President Trump toured the area Saturday, joined by California’s outgoing and incoming governors, both Democrats who have traded sharp barbs with the Republican administration. The president also visited Southern California, where firefighters were making progress on a wildfire that tore through communities west of Los Angeles from Thousand Oaks to Malibu, killing three people. “We’ve never seen anything like this in California, we’ve never seen anything like this
yet. It’s like total devastation,” Trump said as he stood amid the ruins of Paradise and pledged the full support of the federal government. “He’s got our back,” outgoing Gov. Jerry Brown said of Trump on Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “There have been some back and forth between California leaders and the president,” Brown said. “But in the face of tragedy, people tend to rise above some of their lesser propensities. So I think we’re on a good path.” Northern California’s Camp Fire has destroyed nearly 10,000 buildings and scorched 233 square miles. It was 55 percent contained as of Sunday afternoon. (AP)
C-SECTIONS SPIKE
The proportion of babies around the world delivered by cesarean section, according to new research from 169 countries published in the journal Lancet. That amounts to about 30 million C-section births. That figure, from 2015, represents a near doubling of C-section births worldwide since 2000, when there were 16 million such deliveries, or 12 percent of live births. Childbirth experts say C-sections would account for about 10 to 15 percent of babies delivered if they were done only because of complications. U.S.-China divide roils Pacific Rim summit An acrimonious meeting of regional leaders in Papua New Guinea failed to agree Sunday on a final communique, highlighting divisions between the U.S. and China on trade, foreign aid and military matters. One dead, hundreds hurt in fuel-tax protests One protester was killed and 227 other people were injured — eight seriously — at roadblocks set up throughout France on Saturday by residents angry with a planned increase in fuel taxes. French Interior Ministry officials said most of the protests were peaceful at more than 2,000 sites. A ‘heartbreaking’ loss
TEXANS 23, REDSKINS 21 Joe Theismann walked alone outside the suites at FedEx Field on Sunday afternoon, still upset by what he had just witnessed in Washington’s 23-21 loss to Houston. “I still have goosebumps,” he said. “I can’t believe it. November 18th is such a horrible day for Redskins quarterbacks.” Earlier in the morning, the former Redskins quarterback reminded his wife that it was the 33rd anniversary of the broken leg that he had suffered against the New York Giants on Nov. 18, 1985 — an injury that’s considered one of the most gruesome in professional sports history. Later in the day, he watched from a suite as current Redskins quarterback Alex Smith suffered a similar injury against the Texans, his right leg snapping in the same grisly fashion. Smith broke his right tibia and fibula, requiring immediate surgery, and he will miss the rest of the season, coach Jay Gruden announced

after the game. “I know it was very painful for him and heartbreaking for a lot of people,” Gruden said. “He’s a great guy and hard worker and one of the key leaders on this football team. These things happen in pro football, unfortunately. Just hate to see them happen with a guy like Alex.” Colt McCoy replaced Smith and threw for a touchdown pass
and led a long scoring drive for Washington, which likely will have to rely on the journeyman quarterback the rest of the way. When a McCoy-led drive finished with an Adrian Peterson touchdown to put the Redskins up 2120 early in the fourth quarter, it was the first lead change in a game involving the Redskins all season. “You pray for opportunities

to get to play,” said McCoy, who completed 6-of-12 passes for 54 yards. “You don’t like to see it how it happened today.” Houston (7-3) went ahead for good on a 54-yard field goal by Ka’imi Fairbairn. The Texans’ franchise-record, seven-game winning streak stayed alive when Redskins kicker Dustin Hopkins missed a 63-yard field-goal attempt with 3 seconds left. Before the injury, Smith was having his worst game of the season. He completed just 12of-27 passes for 135 yards, with no TDs and two interceptions. Washington was down 10-7 but driving before halftime when Justin Reid intercepted Smith in the end zone and returned it 101 yards for a touchdown. With the loss, the Redskins fell to 6-4 and their lead in the NFC East dropped to just a game, after Dallas beat Atlanta. The Redskins play the Cowboys in Dallas on Thursday in what becomes the season’s most important game to date. (THE WASHINGTON POST/AP)

Can McCoy lead a team to playoffs? With Alex Smith’s leg injury, this will be Colt McCoy’s team going forward. McCoy hasn’t started a game since 2014, when he went 1-3 for Washington. It will be tough for the 32-yearold career backup to fill in for a QB who has won nearly 70 percent of his games over the past eight seasons, but there are some things McCoy does better than Smith. While Smith is mobile, McCoy is much more dangerous outside the pocket. McCoy finished Sunday with 35 rushing yards — more than Smith had in any game this season. McCoy is also more willing to take chances down the field, which should result in big plays (and probably more picks). Entering Sunday, 20 other QBs had more passing plays of at least 20 yards than Smith this year. If McCoy takes care of the ball, the Redskins still have a shot at the playoffs. Saquon Barkley ran for a career-high 142 yards and scored three TDs as the Giants (3-7) held off the visiting Bucs (3-7) to win consecutive games for the first time since December 2016. Alec Ogletree returned one of the Giants’ four interceptions 15 yards for a score. (AP) BILL FEIG (AP)

JONATHAN NEWTON (THE WASHINGTON POST)
Cam Newton threw an incomplete pass on a 2-point conversion with 1:07 left, letting the Lions (4-6) hold on for a win over the Panthers (6-4). On the road, Carolina coach Ron Rivera went for the win after Newton threw his third TD pass — an 8-yard strike to DJ Moore. (AP)

DREW BREES PASSED FOR 363 YARDS AND FOUR TOUCHDOWNS, and the host Saints
won their ninth straight with a demolition of Philadelphia on Sunday that marked the Eagles’ worst loss by far since they won last season’s Super Bowl. Brees completed 22 of 30 passes and did not turn the ball over, giving him 25 TD passes and only one interception this season. Brees’ fourth touchdown seemed to encapsulate New Orleans’ audacious approach to the game. He hit running back Alvin Kamara in stride down the right sideline for a 37 yards on a fourth-and-7 play that gave the Saints (9-1) a 45-7 lead early in the fourth quarter. Carson Wentz was intercepted

Andrew Luck threw three TDs to help the Colts rout Tennessee in Indianapolis. The Colts (5-5) have won four straight for the first time since 2014, and Luck remained unbeaten in 10 starts against the Titans. three times and finished with 156 yards on 19-of-33 passing for the Eagles (4-6).

Brett Maher shook off a missed extra point and kicked a 42-yard field goal on the final play, giving Dallas a road win over the Falcons after the Cowboys squandered a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter. Matt Ryan threw a 34-yard TD pass to Julio Jones for Atlanta’s only TD with 1:52 remaining to tie the game. But Dallas drove 51 yards in 10 plays, setting up Maher’s winning kick as time expired. The Cowboys (5-5) are a game back of the Redskins (6-4), who they host on Thanksgiving. Atlanta (4-6) lost its second straight game. (AP)

Rookie QB Lamar Jackson juked and sprinted for 117 yards in his first NFL start, Gus Edwards ran for 115 and the Ravens ground out a victory in Baltimore over the Bengals to end a three-game losing streak. Flashing the moves that enabled him to win the 2016 Heisman Trophy at Louisville, Jackson zipped in and out of the pocket for 27 carries. Though the Ravens (5-5) relied heavily on the run, Jackson also completed 13 of 19 passes for 150 yards with an interception. The Bengals (5-5) have lost four of their past five games. (AP)

16
Ben Roethlisberger was far from perfect in Jacksonville until the fourth quarter, and that was all that mattered. One week after he had a perfect passer rating, Roethlisberger overcame three interceptions and a 16-0 deficit by leading two late scoring drives. He lunged in from the 1 for the winning score with 5 seconds left for a victory over the Jaguars. The Steelers (7-2-1) won their sixth straight. The Jaguars (3-7), who eliminated Pittsburgh in the divisional round last year, dropped their sixth in a row. (AP)

22
Brandon McManus kicked a 34-yard field goal as time expired to give the Broncos a win on the road and snap the Chargers’ six-game winning streak. Denver (4-6) had lost six of seven coming into the game. Melvin Gordon had 158 yards from scrimmage (89 rushing, 69 receiving) for the Chargers (7-3). (AP)

Browns deny report they want to interview Rice Cleveland Browns general manager John Dorsey shot down a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the team wanted to make former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice the first woman to interview for an NFL head coaching position. “Rice is a great leader, possesses the highest possible character and also happens to be a Browns fan,” Dorsey said Sunday in a statement. “But we are still in the process of composing the list of candidates and Secretary Rice has not been discussed.” (THE WASHINGTON POST)

THE TAKEAWAY
NASCAR
Logano wins his first Cup Series championship Joey Logano busted up The Big Three and captured his first NASCAR title by soundly beating a trio of champions. Logano won the season finale Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway to grab his first Cup championship in a season in which he barely contended until the playoffs. The year was dominated by Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick and reigning series champion Martin Truex Jr., with Logano calling the final-four field “The Big Three and Me.” But Logano passed Truex with 12 laps remaining and pulled away to win for Roger Penske. It marked the first championship for Ford since 2004. Truex finished second, with Harvick third and Busch fourth. (AP)

Capitals center Lars Eller has three goals and seven assists this season.
Eller comfortable in role with Caps CAPITALS Lars Eller wouldn’t put a number on how many times he’s watched his winning goal from Game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals, the one that won the Capitals their first championship. “I’ll keep watching it. If I’m in a bad mood, I’ll put it on,” Eller said before this season. Eller was one of Washington’s top playoff performers with seven goals and 11 assists. He was promoted to the top-six forward corps when injured center Nicklas Backstrom had to miss three games, and he looked like he belonged. While Eller, 29, understands he’s third in the pecking order up the middle, behind Backstrom and Evgeny Kuznetsov, he’s also confident that he’s capable of playing higher in the lineup. Eller is again being asked to do just that with Kuznetsov and right
wing T.J. Oshie both “day-to-day” with likely concussions. Centering a top line of captain Alex Ovechkin and right wing Tom Wilson, Eller skated a season-high 20:48 in Friday night’s 3-2 overtime win at the Avalanche. “My goal was always striving to be a top-six center,” said Eller, whom Washington re-signed to a five-year, $17.5 million deal in February. “But with Kuzy and Backy here, I fully accept that the situation is what it is; they’re world-class players.” Coach Todd Reirden said: “This is a situation where he likes the role that he’s used in here. … A lot of guys in that situation might have tried to go other spots where they could maybe be known as a top-six guy, but he’s comfortable with how we value him and how we use him.” ISABELLE KHURSHUDYAN (THE WASHINGTON POST)

MUST-SEE THIS WEEK
1 ‘The Little Drummer Girl’ 9 p.m. today on AMC
Breaking out of a rut ‘Escape at Dannemora’ is a refreshingly distinct take on true-crime dramatization TV REVIEW Lurid, sordid, sensational — it all means the same thing anymore in the era of fast-traveling viral news and video clips. Remember the one about the lady who worked at the prison in New York? You know — she was having sex with two convicted murderers and helped them escape? It was all over the news, for a bit, in 2015: helicopters and search dogs and shootouts. Afterward, did you think about it again? It’s in that aftermath that scripted TV steps in. Most true-crime dramatizations are just an exercise in imposing a saucier narrative on top of the transcripts. You forget about them as soon as you’ve watched them. Once in a great while, however,
viewers get a chance to watch something as magnificently disturbing as Showtime’s “Escape at Dannemora,” a seven-part miniseries that premiered Sunday night, succeeding on little more than its commitment to realism, rather than launching a manhunt for deeper meanings. Directed with unflinching perspective by Ben Stiller (yes, the very one), “Escape at Dannemora” is a master work of true-crime dramatization, remarkable in that it feels true in a way that transcends the record of what happened. As Joyce “Tilly” Mitchell, Patricia Arquette succeeds by being far more pathetic than sympathetic. A deeply unmotivated employee at the Clinton
A sprawling scandal “Escape at Dannemora’s” retelling of a real-life 2015 prison break features a fantastic supporting cast, including David Morse as a corrupt prison guard and Bonnie Hunt as New York’s inspector general, who can hardly believe the neglect she discovers once the fugitives become bad PR for her boss, Gov. Andrew Cuomo (Michael Imperioli). H.S.
Correctional Facility in New York (aka Dannemora), Tilly frequently disappears into the storeroom to have sex with David Sweat (Paul Dano), an inmate convicted of killing a police officer. Later, a particularly remorseless killer named Richard Matt
(Benicio Del Toro) talks David into helping with his plan to dig out of Dannemora. And Richard takes up his own sexual relationship with Tilly in the tailor shop, convincing her that she can run off with the two men. Plotwise, there’s little to spoil here for viewers who remember the news of the breakout. Even in their audacious sprint for freedom, the men make a deplorable pair, entirely deserving of the grim fates that await them. “Escape at Dannemora” has only this to tell us: A lot of people are no damn good and eventually get what they deserve. That may seem like a downer of a takeaway, but in the world we live in, it’s also a crucial reminder.
SHOWTIME
Benicio Del Toro and Patricia Arquette bring a true story to life in Showtime’s “Escape at Dannemora.”
The three-night miniseries, starring Florence Pugh, Alexander Skarsgard and Michael Shannon, centers around an actress drawn into the world of international espionage in the late 1970s.
2 ‘Sick Note’ Friday on Netflix
Rupert Grint and Nick Frost star in the comedy series about an insurance salesman who is wrongly told he has cancer but decides to hide the misdiagnosis, with Lindsay Lohan joining the cast for Season 2.
3 ‘Dirty John’ 10 p.m. Sunday on Bravo
Based on a true-crime podcast, the limited series tells the story of Debra Newell (Connie Britton), a woman tricked into falling for a con man (Eric Bana), with the first episode already available online. (EXPRESS)

Then there’s research scientist Rahul. He looks as if he’s afraid he’ll be scolded each time he faces the judges.
