‘HOUSEWIFE’ BLASTS CO-STARS Top ranking . . . Lopez

J-Lo beats Gaga to top celeb power list

HOLLYWOOD hottie Jennifer Lopez has beaten Lady Gaga to be named the world’s most powerful celeb, a new poll claims. The Forbes magazine rankings are based on a combination of earnings, press coverage and internet presence. The Jenny from the Block singer, 42, headed the 100-strong list, up from 50th last year. Lady Gaga dropped to fifth, toppled from her top perch last year. Television presenter Oprah Winfrey was second, followed by teen sensation Justin Bieber in third and singer Rihanna at fourth. Forbes estimated J-Lo’s earnings in the past 12 months to be ’41million. Her top ranking is a result of her gig as judge on American Idol, a new clothing line, a top-selling fragrance and millions of Twitter and Facebook followers. She also recently announced an upcoming world tour alongside Enrique Iglesias.

Eat for 2 ‘birth risk’

THE old wives’ tale that pregnant women should “eat for two” increases the risk of serious complications, experts claim. A study of more than 7,000 mums-to-be found healthy eating cut the chances of pregnancyrelated diabetes by 70 per cent, high blood pressure by 60 per cent and potentially fatal preeclampsia by 33 per cent. It also reduces the risk of miscarriages and premature births. Dr Shakila Thangaratinam, from Queen Mary University of London Medical School, said: “Obesity is a growing threat.” She added that instead of scoffing more, fat women should consider cutting calories.
