A New Candidate with an Experienced Voice

Experience working for our community

I am a Fine Gael candidate for the Castleknock Electoral Area contesting the Local Elections on May 23rd. This area of representation covers the communities of Castleknock, Blanchardstown, Clonsilla East, Luttrellstown, Carpenterstown, Lucan North and Laraghcon. Originally from Co. Clare, I have lived in Dublin for over 20 years. Over the last two decades I have accumulated vast business leadership experience across the Retail, Telecommunications, Information Technology and Transport sectors. I also ran my own company for nine of those years. I currently work as Vice President, Chief Information Officer for a major international telecommunications company based in Ireland. I have extensive experience in delivering cost effective and innovative solutions that deliver real value. Our local council is tasked with advancing the economic, social and cultural development of our communities while providing for a better quality of life for its current and future residents. In order to be successful in this task we need public representatives that are committed to improving their community while having the necessary business leadership experience to ensure effective and appropriate representation.

It is time to: Reducing the Property Tax Rate Henry Minogue – I want to reduce the Property Tax Rate Over the last 10-15 years, Fingal experienced one of the fastest economic and population growth rates in the country. I want to reduce the Property Tax Rate in Fingal. For this to be achieved Fingal County Council will need to:

• Eliminate all financial waste. • Learn how to do more with smaller budgets. • Innovate in the delivery of cost effective solutions. • Provide measurable value for the money they spend. • Be accountable to council and the people that council represent for all spending. Companies across the country do this every day. The residents of the Castleknock Electoral Area expect Fingal County Council to do the same. This is what it will take to facilitate a reduction in the Property Tax rate. We need councillors that have the experience to keep Fingal County Council focused on achieving this.
