money is spent. In this update, I have summarised key income sources and spend categories as outlined within the Fingal Annual Budget for 2014. It is important that that we are rep-

FINGAL COUNTY COUNCIL EXPENDITURE FOR 2014 In 2014 Fingal County Council will be spending over €215m of our money. The key spend categories are highlighted in this graphic. With this money, Fingal is tasked with advancing the economic, social and cultural development of our communities while providing for a better quality of life for its current and future citizens. Now more than ever we need councillors who know how to manage significant budgets, who have strong cross functional business leadership experience, who are delivery focused and who can make sure that your money will be well spent in your interest and in your locality. I have that experience and in May I will be seeking your support to ensure that this experience is brought to Fingal County Council.

FINGAL EXPENDITURE 2014

l Fingal has 4,624 local authority dwellings to be maintained. l There are 32,400 public lights with a budget of €3.8m for maintenance. l The Fire Service will cost €18.9m in 2014.

l Pay & Display Parking contributes €1.1m. l The current level of water leakage in Fingal is 32%. l A provision of €125k has been made for a badly needed burial ground development.
