Consent & Medical Decisions The law around capacity, consent and medical decisions including relevant issues such as Ward of Court, Assisted Decision Making and Medical Ethics.

Consent & Sexual Relationships The law on sexual relationships and people with intellectual disability. Consent, the effect of the criminal law in practice and marriage and people with intellectual disabilities will be covered.

Disability Policy and Law An introduction to disability policy and law in Ireland focussing on the National Disability Strategy.

Making a Will – What you should know Making a will and considerations such as welfare payments, guardianship and trust funds. The focus of the presentation is on answering parent’s questions on how best to prepare for the future.

Inclusion Ireland Workshops & Seminars March – June 2014

The following training is also available – Pathways to Possibilities, 6 day training course delivered by parents for parents and professionals on planning for the future HIQA Standards, training delivered by service users for service users and professionals on the HIQA standards and inspection process. Workshops will take place in March & April in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Louth, Mayo and Sligo Communications and Supporting skills, training for parents and professionals on improving communication, self care and support skills (multiple days) There is a reduced fee for members and members have priority booking. Individual membership is €40 per year and group membership begins at €150.

Groups Training requests for groups will be accommodated where possible.
