Service Plan 2011 - Current Service Focus  Responding to service demands/requests by

creatively using existing resources to better effect;  Maintaining existing service levels;  Utilising available development funding to address

priority needs – 2011 – day services for school leavers;  Providing Services in line with Policy and Legislative

Framework (Disability Act);  Contributing to VFM & Policy Review.


Service Plan 2011 - Current Service Focus  Preparing for Introduction of HIQA Standards  Finalising and implementing Plans to:-

Reconfigure Day Services - New Directions;  Reconfigure Children’s Services;  Move Residential Services from Congregated Settings;  Implement Recommendations of Neuro Rehabilitation Strategy. 

Achievements 2010  New Services Commissioned (Demography Funding ‘10):  

24 Residential Placements; 88 Day Placements; 31,000 new annual hours of Home Support/Personal Assistant Services.

 Commissioning of Knockamamm – 10 x 6 bedded

Community Residential Complex St. Ita’s Portrane.


Achievements 2010  Provision of Community Based residential Services to

former residents (Intellectual Disability) of St. Davnet’s Hospital Monaghan;  Development of Early Intervention Team in North Dublin to assist compliance with the Disability Act;  Completion of Service Arrangements with majority of Agencies providing Disability Services on behalf of HSE;  A range of efficiency initiatives to address better Value For Money – transport reviews, review of Home Support, trialling of direct payments, negotiation of external residential placements costing.
