Bistroo

Table pour deux Table for two

W

hen you see the Bistroo you will immediately realise what the double ‘oo’ is all about. The rounded back rests provide support as you sit side by side, observing and commenting the world as it’s passing by. The Extremis team loves a spot of people-watching, don’t you?

N

o need to worry about your fork falling through the slats of rickety tables. The Bistroo remains perfectly stable on an outdoor terrace thanks to its three cleverly-positioned legs. The fact that this ingenious new concept is quick to stack and lock away is another great benefit.

B

ut true romance need not limit itself to just one city. Why not bring a little bit of Paris into your home? Or - even better - put it right outside your door! Wake up in your apartment with the sun peeping through the curtains. Wander past the fulllength windows to the balcony, still in your bathrobe, and enjoy a heavenly espresso at your Bistroo. Wave to your darling, just coming back from the bakery with fresh croissants, and spend the rest of the morning leafing through the Sunday papers, side by side. What could be better?

istroo is available in four colours. The colour palette complements a wealth of outdoor settings, yet is equally at home in a variety of interior spaces. And, whether they jump out at you or melt seamlessly into the background, these ‘tools for togetherness’ silently go about their task. For colour is more than decoration alone; it greatly influences the function of the furniture too.

sun-kissed patio can use a bit of shadow sometimes. Extremis has already reinvented the traditional parasol several times, with the Inumbra, Inumbrina, Kosmos Parasol and Hopper Shade, bringing you patented solutions. Now they are building on their past successes and introducing a brand new, extremely atypical parasol.

T

his eccentric parasol is intended to be directed towards the sun so that it can create as much shade as a larger parasol, despite its relatively small surface area. And that is how it got its name. The parasol-shaped crown of the African Acacia tree is an evolutionary

adaptation to capture as much sun as possible with the smallest possible leaf canopy. This new Extremis parasol deflects a maximum of the sun’s rays with a limited textile canopy. Instead of closing it, simply take off the canopy and put it away. You will be left with a sculpture inspired by the branches of the African Acacia. When the sun goes down, the integrated lighting beneath the parasol canopy creates a warm ambiance. Designed with the idea of a pocket torch in mind, simplicity reigns even in the integrated, rechargeable LED module.
