TIFFANY KNOT X ARSHAM STUDIO COLLECTION

The beginning of this year marks the new collaboration between Tiffany & Co. and New York artist Daniel Arsham. Together, they metamorphose the famous “Blue Box” into a collection that will enchant Artwork fans. The boxes have a rugged and patinated appearance, seemingly beaten by time and long poetic wear. The Bronze Eroded Tiffany Blue Box collection offers no less than 49 sculptures in eroded bronze – accompanied by the brand's iconic blue – all imbued with history, linking the past to the present.

Chosen by founder Charles Lewis Tiffany, Tiffany & Co.'s iconic color, the forget-me-not blue, is manipulated by talented artist Daniel Arsham to grant the boxes a semblance of an imagined future that is firmly rooted in history. “I wanted to present it in a way that was different from the original intent by giving it a tormented, aged image that represents its history. Yet, it is part of our world today, and it will continue to remain relevant for decades or even centuries to come,” explains artist Daniel Arsham.

He has housed the Blue Box, like a Russian doll, in a Tiffany Knot x Arsham Studio stamped art-handling crate to take the concept even further. A limited-edition 18K white gold bracelet adorned with diamonds and tsavorites, named Tiffany Knot x Arsham Studio bracelet, sits in the heart of these two guardians. It pays homage to New York City, drawing inspiration from the knots of the city's fences. As for the tsavorites that dress it, the flagship gems of Tiffany & Co. subtly underline the signature blue of the collaboration between the House and the Arsham Studio.

Ce début d’année signe la nouvelle collaboration entre la Maison Tiffany & Co et l’artiste new-yorkais Daniel Arsham. Ensemble, ils métamorphosent la célèbre Blue Box dans une collection qui séduira les adeptes d’œuvres arty, les boîtes se parant d’un aspect accidenté et patiné, semblant battues par le temps et une longue usure poétique. La collection Bronze Eroded Tiffany Blue Box offre ainsi pas moins de quarante-neuf sculptures en bronze érodé – accompagné du bleu iconique de la marque – toutes empreintes d’histoire faisant le lien entre le passé et le présent.

Choisie par le fondateur Charles Lewis Tiffany, la couleur emblématique de Tiffany & Co, également appelée bleu myosotis, se voit manipulée par le talentueux artiste Daniel Arsham pour apporter aux boîtes un semblant d’avenir imaginé mais bien ancrées dans l’histoire. « Je voulais la présenter d’une manière différente de l'intention d'origine en lui donnant une image tourmentée, vieillie, qui représente son histoire, à quel point elle fait partie de notre monde actuel et combien elle continuera d'être pertinente pour les décennies ou même les siècles à venir » explique l’artiste Daniel Arsham.

Afin de pousser plus loin encore le concept, les Blue Box sont elles-mêmes logées dans des conteneurs estampillées Tiffany Knot x Arsham Studio, à la manière des poupées russes. Bien gardé au cœur de ses deux gardiennes se trouve le précieux trésor : un bracelet en or blanc 18 carats orné de diamants et de tsavorites, en édition limité, nommé Tiffany Knot x Arsham Studio bracelet. Ce dernier rend hommage à la ville de New-York, étant inspiré des nœuds des grillages de la ville. Quant aux tsavorites qui l’habillent, gemmes phares de Tiffany & Co, elles soulignent subtilement le bleu signature de la collaboration entre la Maison et l’Arsham Studio.
