Dear applicant, It is my utmost pleasure to invite you to consider applying to #ElectricYerevan. With the session being focused on sustainability, we are looking to discuss many topics which are relevant for the time in which we live. We are looking to explore new horizons and talk about new concepts which may shape the future of our world. You and I are going to face a pretty difficult task. Because of the global pandemic live sessions in Armenia have been suspended for a while and #ElectricYerevan is going to be the first live session since the start of the Pandemic. It means that we’re going to have quite the number of first-time applicants. Thus, we need to ensure that we provide the chairs with the tools and knowledge they need so that they can, in turn, ensure that the delegates have the best possible experience. I am looking for two motivated individuals who would lead the session academic team alongside me. One of the pillars of my vision for the session is inter-team cooperation and communication. I’m looking forward to implementing the idea of inter-team buddy groups and projects, such as the host of projects that will be created in cooperation with the Media Team. Therefore, I'm looking for open-minded individuals who are willing to build bridges between the teams to use our full potential. Furthermore, The Vice Presidents are encouraged to propose innovations in terms of our approach that will help to facilitate the workflow within the academic team. I am looking forward to your applications and should you need anything or have any questions about my vision and the call, do not hesitate to contact me. Good Luck!

Last year when the in-person EYP events got suspended due to the spread COVID-19 it caused a lot of frustration for EYPers (at least it did so for myself). It also caused quite a lot of confusion about how to keep EYP going. Fortunately, the quirky young Europeans never gave up and found their ways to make EYP events happen online. And while the online events could not fully substitute the in-person ones, they actually gave way for revolutionizing EYP Media. Turns out there are quite a lot of creative tools that were previously overlooked in traditional Media Teams that could make the output so much more diverse and interesting to consume. Hence, seeing how #ElectricYerevan will be one of the first in-person events after a long break I, as an editor, intend to try to combine the new tools and creative techniques with the old, more traditional ones to shape up-to-date and good quality output. The Media Team Members will have creative freedom and enough space for experimenting with different mediums. However they will not only focus on the creative aspects of being a part of the Media Team, but will also collaborate with the academic team in order to produce output properly connected to the session theme. The Editorial Assistant will help me in delivering modules both prior to the session (online) and during the CJO. I am looking for 5 Media Team Members and 1 Editorial Assistant to join me in the Team. The Media Team Members do not necessarily have to have any previous EYP Media experience. The Editorial Assistant will work closely with me and will have an equal say in the decision-making process in the team. Good luck with your applications and hope to see you soon!

#ElectricYerevan was the main hashtag used for a wave of protests and acts of civic activism fighting against electricity prices in Armenia, back in 2015. After the protests, the hashtag became a platform for public knowledge sharing and discussing energy-related topics in the country. That is why the session is called #ElectricYerevan, aiming not only to raise awareness about energy transition but also to become an innovative hub where Armenia-based young people will have the opportunity to discuss and debate about their own perspectives on the matter. #ElectricYerevan is going to be the 8th NSC of EYP Armenia, gathering 120 participants from all over Armenia. Each NSC in Armenia aims for excellence, and the 8th NSC promises to meet these high expectations. During #ElectricYerevan various issues and opportunities are going to be discussed in the energy sector. The goal is to encourage the youth to be more sustainable and more caring for the environment they are living in. Continuous actions and attitude will aim to minimise paper, plastic usage, and waste production. In the last few months, the world has been through a lot. The COVID-19 has taken the world by storm, and while we all had to go through these rough times, we need to stop for a moment and look at what it taught us. One of the positive impacts of lockdown has been the rebirth of our environment. The pandemic reminded us that being sustainable is relevant more than ever. During this session, we will observe the possibilities of better and cleaner life through the prism of energy production and usage. We are searching for people who care for the environment, never settle for anything mediocre, and enjoy being challenged. Creative and innovative organisers, who are ready to take matters into their own hands are more than welcome to join us. We highly value strong inter-team communication and are looking forward to working with individuals who understand others' ups and downs and are always there to help. We hope that our team will always be fruitful and full of endless energy. During the #ElectricYerevan we hope to have a diversity of perspectives, collect and implement best practices regarding sustainability, and be environmentally friendly. Overall, the session should consist of bright individuals ready to learn, think innovative and creative, experiment, challenge themselves, and step out of their comfort zone. We are ready to prove that sustainability is fun, are you!?
Yours truly, Nareh and Mariam Head Organisers of #ElectricYerevan
