Editorial Vision

Dear reader, By reading this vision I hope you are considering applying to the Jury Team at Porvoo 2021. Hopefully my vision for the team and the session can help to further convince you to apply.

Considering the transition back to physical sessions, and the new challenges this presents to us, it is incredibly important to me that the team feels comfortable with one another and trusts each other. This aspect of trust should be built upon before the session even starts, and is something I hope to maintain throughout the session. Alongside this, I believe it is important to have a team that is inclusive and cooperative with one another, to help facilitate better decision making and overall effectiveness.

To help achieve this, I hope to have a team that takes a horizontal approach. I believe greatly in having a team that feels comfortable with making suggestions and taking initiative, towards other members and also myself. Consequently, I am looking for applicants who are inclusive, compromising and willing to be cooperative and supportive to the team. A willingness to be enthusiastic and uplifting is also desirable, since I believe a team works best when in a happy, fun and supportive environment.

If you have read this vision and believe you can contribute to this session, I have full confidence that together we can make an incredibly successful jury team. I am greatly looking forward to your applications, and I hope to be able to welcome you to the session.
