Head Organisers’ Vision

The theme of the session “Striving for Social Sustainability…” has been chosen with the aim to engage young European minds into pondering and discussing today’s significant and relevant topics in mind. Our goal during the session is to provide all the participants a safe space to grow as a person and give them the chance to improve their skills in communication and socialization. We want to create a welcoming place for everyone where they can feel comfortable enough to have thought-provoking and inspiring discussions with other people and most importantly, find new friends and have fun!

In addition, we find welfare extremely important and want to bring it into our vision as a starting point for everything else. We feel like when we can make sure that all of the participants are feeling well both physically and mentally, they will be able to participate much more enthusiastically and actively and all in all get the most out of the session.

Furthermore, we believe that cooperation between the different teams is the key to a successful session. With reference to the theme of the session, we want to bring the idea of collective responsibility onto the table and encourage all the teams to collectively work as one to create the best possible environment for both each other and the delegates to reach interpersonal growth.

With the core values of EYP Finland in mind, we want to emphasize that this session is about learning, self-growth, equity, cooperation and most importantly, it is about jumping to the deep end and experiencing something new. No matter if it’s your first time jumping or if you are already more experienced, this session is for all of us, it is for you. We hope to see you take the chance with us and come join us in Porvoo this autumn!
