Dear alumni, It is our greatest pleasure to hereby open the call for Assistant HeadOrganisers for the upcoming National Selection Conference of EYP the Netherlands. The Assistant Head-Organisers will play a big role in shaping the session, especially in the early stages. The Head-Organisers of the Session are Megan Wennekers and Jara Verkleij. The session will take place from 13 - 16 February 2014 in Delft and Rotterdam. This year, the Nationals will be a bigger, better and greater session than ever before. Not only will the session be a day longer (an extra day of Committee Work), the session is also set to take place in a hostel and in a variety of (fancy) venues. This also means that there is a greater need for pre-session planning and preparation, such as in finding locations, fundraising, and external contact, with for example media. To make sure all of this happens, the Head-Organisers can certainly benefit from your help! You will, for example, be asked to look at possible locations, go to meetings with potential sponsors, and during the session you will play a big role in leading the organising team that will be selected later on. The role of Assistant Head-Organiser will take up quite a few hours each week. The Head-Organisers expect you to be closely involved in the organisation, are keen on their vision, are always up to date about the recent developments, take initiative, and are of course enthusiastic about the project and helping EYP the Netherlands develop further. Moreover, as an Assistant Head-Organiser, you will gain important experience in event management, learn more about how the EYP works, and most importantly, you will be able to contribute to one of the most important events of the EYP NL year! Please include not only why you would like to take up this role, but also tell us a bit about previous experience in organising within and outside of EYP. Lastly, we would like you to shortly outline what your plans are for the upcoming months until the session and how much time you would have to spend on this project. We are looking for 2 Assistant Head-Organisers. The deadline for applications is Sunday, 30th of June. The selection panel will be made up out of the Board of EYP the Netherlands and the Head-Organisers. Closer to the session, there will of course also be a call for organisers.
